Mahesh looking to finish the entire schedule without breaks

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata has undergone a number of delays and the makers are looking to finish the film at the earliest. The film’s shoot will resume soon and Mahesh will join the sets next week.

Due to numerous delays due to Covid, Mahesh has decided to wrap up the shoot before any further halts to the filming. He has decided to complete the rest of Sarkaru Vaari Paata’s works without taking any breaks.

The film’s unit has planned back-to-back schedules of the film and is looking to finish the shoot by September. Post completing this action thriller, Mahesh will then move on to SSMB28 with Trivikram.

Some crucial action scenes have been planned on Mahesh for this schedule. The makers are leaving no expense for the same. Keerthy Suresh will also be a part of this schedule.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata will be directed by Parasuram and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. SS Thaman is composing the music for this action drama. The movie is set to release in January 2022.

Anil Ravipudi ready with full script

Director Anil Ravipudi, who’s on a successful streak for quite some time is looking to join hands with Nandamuri Balakrishna. Ravipudi and Balayya movie has been a part of Tollywood speculation for quite some time now. And now, it looks like the project is finally going to materialize. Anil has narrated the complete script to Balakrishna who has reportedly okayed it.

True to Balayya’s style, this movie is going to be an out-and-out mass action film. Anil Ravipudi is leaving no stone unturned to highlight its commercial elements and bring out the best.

Meanwhile, Anil is also readying a script for Super Star Mahesh Babu. The ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ director had narrated a line to Mahesh. Mahesh asked the director to work on the complete script and get back to him. It remains to be seen if this successful combo repeats or not.

Balakrishna, on the other hand, is busy with Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda. After Akhanda, he will also be seen in Gopichand Mallineni’s untitled film. The ‘Krack’ director has prepared an out-and-out commercial entertainer script that is based on true incidents. The pre-production work of this film is going on in full swing.

AP Govt. new rule, relief for Film Industry

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a new Government Order providing relief to the film industry. The new G.O has tweaked the earlier rules of AP Cinema Regulation Rules, 1970. According to the earlier rules, the government could fix the maximum admission rates of movie theatres. Now this ‘maximum’ clause has been removed and it has empowered the government to change the ticket rates from time to time depending on the need and demands of the situation.

To put it in simple words, a producer of a film can now put a request in front of the government authorities to bring in changes of ticket prices. The government, after its due diligence and after verifying producers’ and exhibitors’ requests can change the ticket prices from time to time.

This is a huge relief for the entire film industry especially the producers and exhibitors as the earlier G.O issued in April had fixed the ticket rates all over. This was met with huge opposition by the film industry who claimed that this movie would push the films in losses.

The earlier rules required the intervention of courts in order to change the ticket prices. However, with the new amendment, the producers can directly approach the AP government and put forth their requests for change in ticket prices.

Rajamouli to go big with RRR promotions

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is undoubtedly the most awaited movie today. Right from its launch, the movie has generated great hype. However, continuous delays and pandemic breaks in shoots have pushed a number of plans into the back seat. With the film’s shoot in its final stages, Rajamouli is reportedly planning to go big with the promotions.

As of now, RRR is lagging in promotional content that is required for a movie of this level. Rajamouli and unit have received feedback from the teasers and motion posters released. The team has realized that they need to do much more to create a solid buzz around the movie. In order to reach audiences across the world, the makers have decided to ramp up the promotions now.

Interestingly, during the second wave of Covid, Rajamouli had made a perfect route map for the film’s promotions. He is going to implement these plans as soon as the shoot is done. The film’s tentative release date is October 13th but there are rumours of the film being pushed to Sankranti 2022. Keeping this in mind the makers have decided to kickstart the promotions at the earliest.

Yesteryear actress in upcoming Santosh Shoban film

Nandini Reddy’s ‘Anni Manchi Sakunamule’s’ poster and title were launched by the makers. The film will star Santosh Shoban and Malvika Nair in the lead role while Mickey J Meyer will compose the music.

Vaishnav Tej has got off to a flying start with blockbuster Uppena. The film shattered many existing records and went on to record the highest ever collections for a debut in Tollywood. The success of Uppena has led to multiple offers for Vaishnav Tej.

One such offer is from Surender Reddy. Buzz is that Surender Reddy has prepared a line for Uppena hero. Incidentally, Surender Reddy’s last film was with Mega Star Chiranjeevi. He will be next directing Akhil in the spy thriller Agent.

Agent’s shooting will start this month and will be ready for release in December. Post this he plans to direct the young Mega Hero if everything works out well.

Ravi Teja’s interesting role in Sarath Mandava film revealed

Ravi Teja and Sarath Mandava’s action thriller which recently went on floors has just got more exciting. The film which is reportedly based on certain true incidents will have the Mass Maharaja playing a totally unique character which he has not tried yet.

The filmmakers commenced shooting for the film a couple of days ago. According to insiders, Ravi Teja will be seen in the role of a Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) in the film.

Apparently, the film is inspired and based on real-life incidents, and that Ravi Teja loved the script in its first narration and agreed to it. Here also he felt Sarath’s script is very intriguing yet experimental and agreed to come on board. Also, this is the first time he will be seen as an MRO on screen.

Billed as RT68, this film is indeed special for Ravi Teja as he will be entering the world of production. Ravi Teja will be co-producing the film under the banner RT Teamworks. Sarath had developed the script specifically keeping Ravi Teja in mind and the latter was pleased with the concept and okayed it immediately.

The movie is going to have Divyansha Koushik, who impressed the audience in Majili, playing the female lead. The movie also has Naresh, Pavithra Lokesh, and Rahul Ramakrishna playing prominent roles. RT68 is being bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV cinemas along with RT Teamworks.

Gopichand- Nayanthara starrer Aaradugula Bullet finally to release

The much delayed and anticipated Aaradugula Bullet starring Gopichand and lady superstar Nayanthara has finally got a release date. In a recent interaction with the media, the makers of the film revealed that the movie will release in August as soon as the theatres return to normalcy.

The movie has been in making since 2012 and has undergone director change as well as a title change. Bhoopathy Pandian was initially fixed to direct the movie which was then titled Jagan Mohan IPS. Pandian has directed a number of Tamil action thrillers in the mid-2000s and early 2010s.

However, due to certain creative differences, he was replaced by ace director B Gopal and the movie was renamed Aaradugula Bullet.

Vakkantham Vamsi who has penned the stories of a number of Telugu action thrillers has written Aaradugula Bullet. Thandra Ramesh is bankrolling this long-delayed film while Mani Sharma is composing the music. Gopichand meanwhile is also awaiting the release of his other film Seetimarr which was delayed due to the pandemic.

Abhiram Daggubati to debut with Ahimsa

Producer Suresh Babu’s younger son Abhiram Daggubati is all set to make his Tollywood debut as an actor. Abhiram, the younger brother of Rana will enter the film industry with an action entertainer titled Ahimsa.

Teja, who has earlier launched a number of debutants will be directing this film. Suresh Productions along with Anandi Arts will be backing this grand debut of Abhiram. Teja has been on a break for the last couple of years and his last film was Kaja Agarwal starter Sita.

Reportedly Suresh Babu has personally heard and approved the script. The producer was extremely happy with the story and narration of Teja. Interestingly, music director RP Patnaik who has been on a sabbatical from Tollywood for quite some time has been brought on board for the film

The film was launched yesterday in Hyderabad and will go on floors soon. Like other Teja films, Ahimsa will also be wrapped up in back-to-back schedules in a short span of time. The search for the leading lady is on and it was earlier reported that Krithi Shetty was approached for the lead role opposite Abhiram. However, she couldn’t be brought on board due to dates issues. The makers will announce the rest of the cast and crew soon.

Dhanush is on a signing spree in Telugu. After okaying a project with Sekhar Kammula, it was recently revealed that the ‘Karnan’ will also work with Venky Atluri. The Dhanush- Venky combination has got everyone quite amused due to the actors’ and the directors’ contrasting style of films.

While Dhanush’s films are rooted in reality and show the mirror to society, Venky Atluri’s films are light-hearted romantic comedies. This has made the Dhanush -Venky even more interesting. However, right now the buzz is that this untitled project will be totally different from all the previous Venky Atluri films.

Venky’s previous films Tholiprema, Mr. Majnu, and RangDe were romantic comedies with a light-hearted approach towards life. The upcoming Dhanus-Venky film will be more in Dhanush style. Reportedly, Dhanush will be portraying the role of a social crusader taking on the education system. This will be a serious subject and it needs to be seen how the young director handles it.
