Maniratnam about film with Mahesh Babu

Maverick director Maniratnam whose films over the past many years have achieved cult classic status recently made a surprising revelation. Speaking to media during Navarasa promotions, he revealed that in past he had plans of a movie with Superstar Mahesh Babu.

Maniratnam stated that he had plans and even held talks with Mahesh for a film but the story didn’t take proper shape. The ace director who is producing the upcoming Netflix anthology Navarasa said that he will work with Mahesh in the future if he finds a suitable script.

Mahesh in the past has expressed his admiration for Maniratnam’s work and this statement from the senior director has got the fans all excited.

Mahesh is presently busy with Sarkaru Vaari Paata and will be joining the shoot after the long pandemic break. He is looking to complete the entire remaining portions for the film without taking any break.

After Rashmika, its Samantha’s turn now

Samantha’s recent performance in Family Man 2 has won the actress great accolades. The success of the show has also brought the actress a number of offers in Bollywood. While Samantha has not confirmed any projects from Bollywood as of now, it is rumoured that she is on a scouting spree for prime property in Mumbai.

Something similar was done earlier by Rashmika Mandanna who recently bagged two big-ticket Bollywood films. The ‘Dear Comrade’ actress will be making her Hindi debut with the spy thriller Mission Majnu opposite Siddharth Malhotra. Post this she will be also seen in Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan.

In order to facilitate shootings in Mumbai it is more practical to go for a house in the city rather than shuttling between hotels. This is the main reason behind Rashmika and Samantha choosing a home in the maximum city.

Meanwhile, Samantha will be next seen in Gunasekhar’s period drama Shaakuntalam and Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. While the actress hasn’t given a nod to any Bollywood offers, we might get an update very soon.

KGF: Chapter 2 business in full swing

The makers of Yash’s upcoming pan India action thriller KGF: Chapter 2 recently released a new poster of the film. The poster features Yash in a brooding look and has a dark vibe to it and looks quite intense.

This Prashanth Neel film has been breaking one record after another even before its release. The latest feat achieved by the movie is the astonishing amount fetched for the audio rights. The movie’s audio rights for south Indian languages combined have been sold to Lahari Music and T- Series for Rs 7.2 crores.

KGF: Chapter 2 recently closed another massive pre-release deal. The deal consists of Tamil release rights of the film which have been bagged by Dream Warrior Pictures. There was a lot of tussle for the rights with a number of big names in the line for the Tamil release.

KGF: Chapter 2 stars Sanjay Dutt, Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, and Raveena Tandon in key roles. Prashanth Neel has directed this pan-India film while Hombale Films are producing it. KGF: Chapter 2 has music scored by Ravi Basrur whose music and BGM played a massive role in the first installment’s success.

The release date of September 9th is looking to be the strong one as of now. However, depending on the then prevailing conditions, the makers might also go for a Dussehra release.

According to the latest reports, the ‘Fidaa’ actress has quit from the Power Star Pawan Kalyan project. The actress was supposed to be a part of PSPK and Rana starter Ayyappannum Koshiyum remake. She was supposed to play the role of an ex-Naxalite turned wife of the cop played by Pawan Kalyan. However, the actress it seems has quit the project. The role will now be played by Nithya Menen.

The role tentatively played by Sai Pallavi was brilliantly played by Gauri Nandha in the original. While the role had a limited screen space, it was quite impactful. This is the reason behind the makers approaching the actress who is known to play powerful roles for the character.

According to the latest buzz, Sai Pallavi has also rejected a film with one of the top Tollywood hero as she felt the role didn’t suit her. She will be next seen in Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story and Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy. A first look of the actres from Shyam Singha Roy was recently released by the makers. Sai Pallavi’s look was well appreciated by the netizens.

Nithiin is on a signing spree. The actor has already had two releases in the form of Check and RangDe this year with both of them failing to impress the audience. Apart from this, the actor has movies such as Maestro, a remake of 2018 Bollywood super hit Andhadhun, an untitled film with SR Sekhar, the editor of Nithiin’s lie.

Apart from this, he has also signed a film with Vakkantham Vamsi and has a Powerpeta scheduled for a release later this year. The Vakkantham Vamsi film is the one on which the ‘Check’ actor has pinned a lot of hopes. Reportedly, he will be paired opposite Pooja Hedge in this film.

Vamsi, whose last film’ Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India was a flop at box office is however upbeat about this one. Producer Tagore Madhu loved the script when it was pitched to Nithiin. “The script discussions are currently going on, and we are using this time to improve the story as much as we can,” he said. The producer further added that the film would be a landmark in Nithiin’s career.

Vamsi has big hits such as Kick, Racegurram, Temper to his credits as a writer. He will be looking to replicate the same success as a writer and prove himself this time. “Vamsi is a fine technician and I believe in his directorial finesse. Also, he is a writer himself, so his ability to transfer the script onto the screen will be great,” added Tagore Madhu.

Krithi Shetty signs two more films

Krithi Shetty who has been the find of the season for Tollywood has been one of the most sought-after actresses of late. Jr NTR allots 10 days for EMK

Jr NTR will be returning to the small screen this year with the show Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu. The will be the first time the RRR actor will be hosting the quiz show. The show’s first three seasons were hosted by Nagarjuna while Chiranjeevi hosted the fourth season.

The ‘RRR’ actor was supposed to start the shoot on July 7th however, it has now been rescheduled. According to the new schedule, Jr NTR will start shooting for the television quiz show on July 10th and will shoot till July 20th. In these 10 days, he will be looking to finish as many episodes as possible.

A special set has been erected at Annapurna Studios for the show and fans are eager to catch Jr NTR on small screen after a gap of 4 years. He had earlier hosted the first season of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1 and received great applause for his hosting.

The ‘RRR’ star will shoot an exclusive promo for the show very soon and the makers are planning to air the promo this month onwards.

The show was supposed to start much earlier this year and the makers also aired promotional ads inviting participants for the show. However, like a number of TV shows and films, Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu also fell prey to the pandemic

Kappela remake gets Allu Arjun’s title

It is a known fact 2020 Malayalam superhit Kappela is being made in Telugu with Siddhu Jonnelagadda and Arjun Das in main roles. While the hunt for the female lead is on, it has been revealed the makers are considering the title ‘Butta Bomma’ for the film.

The film was launched in Hyderabad on Wednesday with Trivikram attending the ceremony as a special guest. Incidentally, it was from Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurram Lo’ blockbuster song Butta Bomma, that the makers got the inspiration for the title of the film.

The original Malayalam version featured Sreenath Bhasi, Roshan Matthew, and Anna Ben in lead roles. The movie revolves around a naive young girl from a small town who falls in love with an autorickshaw driver over phone calls. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

The remake of Kappela will be directed by debutant S Chandrasekhar while Sithara Entertainments will bankroll the project.

Fahadh reveals secrets about Pushpa

Fahadh Faasil’s presence in Pushpa has got the fans even more excited. The movie lovers are eager to see Icon Star Allu Arjun and Mollywood acting powerhouse in a single frame.

Ghani digital and satellite rights sold to Aha for a massive amount

Varun Tej’s sports drama Ghani has been in making for quite some time and the initial visuals have looked interesting. Varun’s buffed-up look has been well received and the makers, as well as Varun, are taking extra care to present the best possible output.

Ghani is nearing completion and according to reports, the digital streaming platform has signed a deal of a whopping Rs 24 crores. This deal includes both digital as well as satellite rights.

Hollywood action directors Larnell Stovall and Vlad Rimburg have worked on the film. The duo directed some crucial action episodes in the film. Larnell Stoval has worked on Hollywood action films such as Altered Carbon, Titans, and Ride Along. He is a professional weapon and martial art expert. Vlad Rimburg is also a martial arts expert and stunt choreographer who has worked on Bahubali 2, Sultan, Max Steel, and Gemini Man among others.

A special boxing ring set was erected recently in a Hyderabad studio to shoot some crucial boxing shots for the film.

Debutant director Kiran Korapati is directing this sports action drama. Saiee Manjrekar, Sunil Shetty, Upendra and Jagapathy Babu will be essaying key roles in this film.  Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby have jointly produced the film under the banners of Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company.
