Sridevi Soda Center promises an action-packed love story

Action and love stories are two genres that will never go out of fashion. From the looks of Sudheer Babu’s Sridevi Soda Center, the film promises to give both. The trailer was released by Superstar Mahesh Babu on Thursday and looks promising.

The trailer packed enough action sequences for movie lovers where Sudheer Babu impressed all yet again. Action has been his strong point for quite some time and with that chiseled body, he surely looks convincing. The newcomer Aanandhi looks great alongside Sudheer Babu and the Lighting Sruibabu and Sridevi pair are all set to give some lovely moments.

The movie will have the love story of the couple, that holds strong despite social barriers. Overall, the trailer of Sridevi Soda Center gives an impression of watching a rustic rural drama boosted with commercial movie elements.

Directed by Karuna Kumar of Palasa 1978 fame, the music is scored by Mani Sharma. Sridevi Soda Center Naresh and Satyam Rajesh in other pivotal roles. It is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 27.

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna to lock horns!

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are all set to clash at the box office. According to our inside sources, the makers of both Acharya and Akhanda have zeroed in on one date and that is October 13th. Fans and movie lovers have been eagerly waiting for an announcement on the release date of both these much-awaited films.

After the success of Simha and Legend, Balakrishna will be teaming up with Boyapati Srinu for the third time with Akhanda. Chiranjeevi, on the other hand, will be seen alongside Ram Charan in action-drama Acharya in a Naxal backdrop role. Both these factors have heightened the expectations on the film to great heights.

Akhanda’s teaser and rushes have impressed one and all and Balayya can be seen in a ferocious avatar in them. The teaser and single released so far from Acharya have not really done as well as they were expected to. However, with Megastar and Mega Power Star coming together, Acharya is surely expected to pack a solid punch.

Both Akhanda and Acharya were meant to release way earlier and there was no scope for the clash. But as fate would have it, multiple shoot delays and prevailing conditions in Telugu states have brought both the senior actors face to face.

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna have clashed a number of times in the last 4 decades. The most recent one being 2017 Sankranti where Khaidi no.150 and Gautamiputra Satakarani were released. While Khaidi no.150 which was Chiru’s comeback and landmark 150th film, Gautamiputra Satakarni was Balayya’s landmark 100th film.

This time as well the film lovers are eager to see the clash come alive. And if it indeed happens, the movie lovers are surely in for a treat

Regina’s ‘NeneNaa’ wrapped up

Regina Cassandra starrer NeneNaa has wrapped up its filming and is moving towards post-production. The bilingual film has generated great interest due to its interesting first look and posters. Regina plays the role of an archeologist in this thriller and as per the reports, the movie is going to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

“It’s elating to see that the entire process of filming NeneNaa was smooth. We are currently approaching the completion of postproduction work and are planning to unveil the trailer soon. The film will endow audiences with a new-fangled theatrical experience for its visuals, mystery-driven plot with horror elements, and lots of humor as well,” said director Carthick Raju.

Nene Naa is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil and is produced by Raj Shekar Varma under the banner Apple Tree Studios. Sam CS is composing music and Gokul Benoy is handling cinematography.

The movie will also feature an interesting cast of Vennela Kishore, Akshara Gowda, Tagapothu Ramesh, Jaya Prakash among others.

Sri Vishnu’s Raja Raja Chora finally hit the screens today. As the trailers suggest, Vishnu plays the role of a thief in this film. After Brochevarurevarura, Sree Vishnu returns to another comic plot. The film promised to be a fun ride with a complete dose of comedy and entertainment. Did it succeed to give that? Is there more to the movie than that? Let’s find out

Story: Raja Raja Chora follows the story of Bhaskar (Sree Vishnu) who falls in love with Sanjana (Megha Akash). In order to impress her he poses as a software engineer. While the drama works for a while, Sanjana eventually finds out that not just is Bhaskar lying about his profession, there are also many hidden truths about his life. Why is the reason behind these secrets? Why did Bhaskar lie? This is what forms the crux of the story

Performance: Sree Vishnu has once again proven that he excels at both comedy as well as emotional scenes. Known for his unique script selection, Sree Vishnu as Bhaskar reminds us once again why he is one of the most talented actors in the industry. Megha Akash looks terrific and her cute screen presence lights up the screen. Sunaina who is a known face in Tamil does well in emotional scenes and is adequate. Ravi Babu as a cop is something that we’ve seen a number of times and the same is the case with other cast members.

Analysis: Raja Raja Chora starts on a fun note and the first half is packed with moments that will surely tickle your funny bone. The second half focuses more on Sri Vishnu’s backstory and has emotional moments and this is where the film slightly starts to lag and drag. The movie regains the tempo towards the end which acts as a saving grace. The film might go a bit high on emotions and tends to be a bit melodramatic at times. The movie has a solid flow from beginning to end and credit must be given to debutant director Hasith Goli for it. Vivek Sagar’s music and BGM are other big assets to the film.

It is one of those rare times when all the technical aspects of the film came together and supported the writing and performances brilliantly to give you and good cinematic experience.

Major changes in release dates of upcoming Tollywood biggies

Never have we seen a situation where there has been so much speculation and confusion over movie release dates. The pandemic situation coupled with the tickets price issue in AP has brought in major last-minute changes to many release dates. The producers of these Tollywood biggies are now left to consider a number of factors before finalizing one date.

According to our reports Megastar, Chiranjeevi is aiming for a release on 13th October. With RRR getting postponed, the date looks free for now. Initially, the team was interested in a Sankranti release on 12th Jan. However, the October slot looks like a wiser choice for now. In case Acharya comes on January 12th then Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla would have to be pushed to the Republic Day slot. An official announcement on this will happen on Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22nd.

F3 is another movie that had announced in arrival for Sankranti way back. However, if that doesn’t happen then Dil Raju and Anil Ravipudi are also considering March 1st.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Radhe Shyam are the only Tollywood biggies that have their release dates locked and will positively come for Sankranti.

This brings us to SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. The movie already has had three release day changes. Initially planned for 30th July 2020, the movie then moved to 8th Jan 2021. From this date, it was pushed to 13th October 2021 and now it will have one more change.

With so many changes based on so many factors, we would have to wait out for some time to get the exact clarity to release dates.

6 Tollywood releases lined up for this week

With theatres reopening after a gap of months, small and medium Tollywood releases are lining up one after another. The last couple of weeks saw movies such as Thimmarusu, Ishq, SR Kalyanamandapam, and Pagal hitting the screens. Seeing their positive reception as many as 6 Tollywood movies will hit the big screen.

Raja Raja Chora, Crazy Uncles, Kanabadutaledu, Bazaar Rowdy, Avalambika, and Cheruvaina Dooramaina are the films trying out their luck this week. Of these six Tollywood releases, Raja Raja Chora featuring Sri Vishnu is the most anticipated one. His last film Gaali Sampath that released earlier this year failed to attract an audience. He’ll be looking to score a hit this week.

Sunil’s Kanabadutaledu has an interesting plot and has intrigued the audience with its grippy trailer. However, lack of publicity and good strong buzz would mean it would heavily depend on word of mouth for its possible success.

The upcoming weeks of this month have a number of other Tollywood releases lined up. Sudheer Babu’s Sridevi Soda Center and Sushant’s Ichata Vahanamulu Nilupa Radu being the prominent ones lined up for next week.

Anirudh roped in for NTR30

The much-awaited combo is all set to make its debut soon. It is being reported that Anirudh has been roped in to score music for NTR30 which will be directed by Koratala Siva. The rumour has been floating for quite some time and it has also been reported that Anirudh will be charging a record fee for this film.

Earlier, NTR and Anirudh were supposed to work for Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. However, it didn’t work out and Trivikram had to rope in Thaman for the album. However, this time Koratala Siva has ensured the combo works out and has fixed the young composer for the film.

Director Koratala Siva has started pre-production works on the much-awaited NTR30. Koratala is currently busy with Acharya which was scheduled to release long back and was postponed due to Covid. Meanwhile, Jr NTR is also busy with RRR and TV quiz show Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu right now.

The makers of NTR30 even announced that the movie will release on April 29, 2022. Kiara Advani will play the lead opposite NTR in this pan-India movie.

Love Story to finally hit the screens on September 10th

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer Love Story has finally got a release date. The movie will be hitting the screens on September 10th. The movie was earlier scheduled to release on 16th April, however, the lockdown caused by Covid deferred the release date indefinitely.

There were also talks of the movie taking the digital route. However, both Sekhar Kammula and the producers denied the rumour. The makers made it clear that the film will only release in theatres once they reopen and the situation is better.

Naga Chaitanya took to social media and share this news with the fans and movie lovers who have been eagerly waiting for the release for months.

The movie has generated great buzz with Pavan Ch’s compositions turning out to be chartbusters. This will be the second movie in Sai Pallavi and Sekhar Kammula’s combo after 2017 superhit ‘Fidaa’. The movie is being bankrolled by Amigos Creations.

Adipurush fresh schedule starts in Mumbai

Prabhas’ Adipurush is being shot at great speed with the new schedule going on floors in Mumbai on Tuesday. Director Om Raut has decided to wrap up this schedule by month-end. Both Prabhas and Kriti Sanon will be a part of this schedule.

The film’s shoot initially started in Mumbai, however, later had to be shifted to Hyderabad due to shoot restrictions set up by the Maharashtra government due to Covid. Now the movie unit is back to Mumbai and the entire shoot will be done in studios.

The shooting will be done using chroma and the background will be added later, said a source. VFX technicians from Hollywood will handle the extensive visual effects that will be used in the film. The makers are planning to wrap up filming at the earliest so that they can move on to post-production works which is going to be extensive. Adipurush is slated for an August 2022 release.

Adipurush is a mythological drama based on Ramayan and is being directed by Om Raut. Prabhas will be playing the titular role of Adipurush (Lord Ram). SR Kalyanamandapam OTT release date locked

Kiran Abbavaram and Priyanka Jawalkar starrer SR Kalyanamandapam will be premiering on OTT platforms soon. The romantic entertainer that was released earlier this month will stream on AHA from August 27th.

The movie received decent reviews and was a success at the box office. The film collected around 1.23Cr on its 1st day from AP/TS. The film also featuring Sai Kumar, Tulasi, and Tanikella Bharani registered house fulls in many centers and was off to a flying start. 

The music of the film was one of the major appealing factor of the film and helped the film is doing well despite 50% occupancy restrictions in AP. Now it needs to be seen if the film attracts a digital audience as well.

The film did a great pre-release business as well and with good collections from all over, it turned out to be the first hit after Covid’s second wave.
