Radhe Shyam starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde released today. Prabhas who once was a regional hero became the country’s sensation over night with the huge success of Bahubali. The hardwork and dedication he put into the film swept the people completely. So much so that he was considered as Bollywood hero now. Prabhas did Sahoo as his next Pan-Indian film after Bahubali. The film too managed to gross more than 100 crores alone in Bollywood market. Now all eyes are on Radhe Shyam !
Both Bahubali 2 and Sahoo had extraordinary opening days at the box-office and Bahubali 2 managed to collect more than 200 crores gross on opening day. Sahoo collected more than 100 crore on the opening day. But this time Prabhas failed to get a 100 cr opening with Radhe Shyam. The film has failed to create the buzz in other languages and started with mixed reviews.
In telugu states the film is expected to open with 40 cr+ gross. Karnataka with 6cr, Tamil Nadu with 2 cr and Kerala with 50 lakhs. North India might be around 6 cr+. Around $2.5M opening is expected in overseas market. But these numbers are not enough to get a 100cr opening. According to the estimates the opening day will be in the range of 75crs. Radhe Shyam projected as a love story might also be the reason for not delivering a 100 cr on the opening day.
