Sonu Sood’s office raided by IT officials

Sonu Sood’s Mumbai office and a company in Lucknow associated with him were raided by the Income Tax department today.

“A recent deal between the actor’s company and a Lucknow-based real estate firm is under the scanner. The survey operation has been initiated on allegations of tax evasion on this deal,” said an inside source.

Sonu Sood’s charitable works especially during the 1st and 2nd lockdowns earned him great praises. The actor even started oxygen banks in AP and soon followed it up with the same in other parts.

The ‘Acharya’ recently met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the tax searches were linked by many to the meeting. The officials said the action is being carried out in at least half a dozen locations in the metropolitan city and Lucknow.

Liger new schedule begins in Goa

Vijay Deverakonda’s Pan India film Liger (Saala crossbreed) directed by dynamic director Puri Jagannadh is in the mid of its shooting. The film’s new schedule began today in Goa, where high octane action sequences along with some important scenes will be canned.

Taking to social media, Vijay Devarakonda posted,

“BLOOD. SWEAT. VIOLENCE. #LIGER Shoot Resumes.” The poster features Vijay Deverakonda as an MMA fighter getting ready for a fight.

Vijay Deverakonda appears in a completely new makeover and underwent training in mixed martial arts in this sports action thriller. Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey is playing the female lead.

The film is being produced jointly by Bollywood’s leading production house Dharma Productions, In association with Puri connects. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta together are bankrolling the film.

Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy play prominent roles in Liger which is being made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Be careful with your words, Naresh cautions Srikanth

Actor Naresh, whose recent statements on Sai Dharam Tej’s accident faced criticism has now hit back at those who called him out. Post Sai Dharam Tej’s accident, Naresh had given a byte to a news channel and said that he had cautioned the young actor to ride carefully. In the byte, he also mentioned ‘Bike racing’ and even referred to accidents killing people. He was referring to Kota Srinivasa Rao’s son and Babu Mohan’s son’s accident.

This reference to bike racing and deaths didn’t go down well with many film industry people. and Naresh faced massive backlash. Actor Srikanth called out Naresh for his insensitive remarks. He said Naresh should have been more careful with the choice of his words especially when it was established that the accident happened due to sand on the road.

Naresh responded to this strongly and defended himself. “I wonder why he made those remarks. I am sure that Sai Dharam Tej was not in the wrong. He was not a reckless driver when he met with the accident,” said Naresh referring to Srikanth’s statement.

The senior actor also accused Srikanth of harbouring ill feelings of his defeat few years back in MAA elections.

“You got defeated by my panel. Your bytes are leading to bites from the public. I have been in the film industry for decades. I have always stayed away from controversies. The next time you give a byte, be careful and please consult elders beforehand,” cautioned Naresh

While Manoj visited the resident of the young victim, Mahesh Babu took to social media and highlighted the issue, and urged the authorities to take swift action.

Tollywood stars command a massive following and social clout. A word or action from the celebrities will help in amplifying the matter and even could lead to the speedy arrest of the culprit. In such a situation, it’s high time the T-Town celebrities come forward and create awareness on such matters.

Naven Polishetty next to be another comedy entertainer

Young actor Naveen Polishetty who is riding on the success of Jathi Ratnalu is coming up with another comedy entertainer soon.

The film will be directed by Kalyan Shankar and produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Kalyan Shankar had worked on the direction team of Jathi Ratnalu and will be making a debut with this film.

Interestingly, ace director Trivikram is also associated with this film as a producer. The director’s wife Sai Soujanya will be co-producing this film. Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments will be producing the movie, in association with Sai Soujanya’s Fortune Four Cinemas.

Nushrat to be the leading lady in Chatrapathi remake

Nushrat Bharucha has been finalized as the leading lady for the Chatrapathi Bollywood remake starring Bellamkonda Srinivas. The movie went on floors recently and the first clap was given by SS Rajamouli who had directed the original.

The search for a leading lady has been on for some time and names such as Disha Patani and Shraddha Kapoor were reportedly discussed for this film. The makers saw Nushrat’s performance in the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series and Sonu Ke Titu ki Sweety and felt the actress would fit the requirement.

Nushrat meanwhile is excited about the role and okayed the project instantaneously. The film was fitting into the actress’ plans and she even loved Chatrapathi hence she jumped on to the project the moment it was offered to her. Reportedly, she has also shot for a few scenes in the first schedule.

The action thriller will be directed by VV Vinayak who incidentally also directed the actor’s Tollywood debut ‘Alludu Seenu’. This will also be Vinayak’s Bollywood debut.

Bellamkonda Srinivas is also brushing up his Hindi skills as he wants to dub for the film by himself. He has appointed famous Hindi coach, Imtiaz to train him in the nuances of the language. Chatrapathi will be shot in Hindi and will be dubbed in Telugu and Tamil.  Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios bankrolling the ambitious project which went on floors recently.

Proposal for an online portal was pushed by Chiranjeevi and co. – Perni Nani

Andhra Pradesh I&PR Minister Perni Nani has stated that the recently issued G.O on the online portal for movie tickets is not a sudden development. The minister said that the first-ever proposal for movie tickets sale online was made way back in early 2000s.

He further added that the plan of managing the portal through AP State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTTDC) was done to ensure maximum transparency. Adding to this, Nani said that this would lead to a reduction of the service charge that the audience will have to pay over per booking.

Interestingly, this suggestion was brought forth by Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Rajamouli, and Dil Raju who had requested the government to go ahead with the portal during their last meet in June 2020.

The government had announced last week that it will be getting its own movie ticket booking online portal soon. The decision was announced through a G.O released by the Home Department

Sai Dharam Tej accident: GHMC imposes a fine of One lakh rupees

Sai Dharam Tej accident has become the hot topic in T-town. The actor is undergoing treatment in Hyderabad’s Apollo Hospital. Various versions and angles to the accident are being discussed and amidst all the chaos, Hyderabad police booked the actor for rash and negligent driving.

Now, GHMC has also joined the act and has imposed a fine of Rs One Lakh on the construction company Aurobindo Constructions. The company has been fined for negligently dumping the sand by the roadside which led to the bike accident.

The company has been fined under multiple sections of HMC act for unlawfully dumping silt stand on the Madhapur-Khanamet road. This caused the bike to skid and lose control which led to the accident.

Music director RP Patnaik was among many other people to demand action against the construction company. This irresponsible act caused the serious accident leading to multiple injuries to Sai Dharam Tej.

Regina Cassandra, who is consistently proving her prowess performance in every film, will appear in dual roles as an archaeologist and as a queen in her upcoming flick NeneNaa that grabbed attention of one and all for its intriguing posters. Expectations are quite high on the project, given Regina Cassandra is popular across Pan-Indian domain, director Caarthick Raju’s last movie Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene was a runaway hit and it’s second production venture for Raj Shekar Varma of Apple Tree Studios. The producer’s first project Zombie Reddy was a superhit.To hike prospects on the movie, the makers have come up with trailer of the movie. The trailer is unveiled by Nidhhi Agerwal, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathy and star director Lingusamy.

Going by the trailer, a horrific incident that had happened 100 years ago is repeating now. While Regina was a queen 100 years back, she is an archeologist now and has come to resolve a mysterious case.

Along with people who enter a seclude place in a forest, those who are assigned to resolve the mysterious case are also getting killed. The link between past and the present story is going to be crux of the movie. The mystery-driven plot with horror elements and lots of humour is going to offer a whole new experience to movie goers.Caarthick Raju comes up with another interesting project and this time it will be much bigger in terms of casting and technical standards.

Simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil, major portions of the bilingual have been shot in and around the locales of Courtallam. Sam CS is composing music and Gokul Benoy is handing cinematography. Sabu is the editor and Super Subbarayan is the stunt master. Apart from Regina Cassandra, the others in the cast include Vennela Kishore, Akshara Gowda, Tagapothu Ramesh, Jaya Prakash, and few more prominent artists. The film’s shoot has already been wrapped up and post-production works are also nearing completion.

Young hero Ganesh Bellamkonda, son of producer Bellamkonda Suresh and younger brother of hero Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, is doing his second film under Sithara Entertainments.
