Nagarjuna applauds Telangana and AP governments

Love Story’s success was celebrated in a grand manner in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Speaking at the event Nagarjuna showered praises on the entire team and thanked the Telugu audience for showing their love on the move.

Nagarjuna also applauded the Telangana government and Andhra Pradesh government for their support towards Tollywood. He thanked the governments for allowing theatres to run even when the other states’ theatres were yet to open.

Speaking on the ongoing crow of 50% occupancy in the AP theatres, the ‘Bangarraju’ actor said that he supported the government’s stance on the matter as the cases were still in abundance in AP. He further requested the governments to continue extending the same support towards Tollywood.

The tussle between Pawan Kalyan and Andhra Pradesh government is taking a heated turn day by day. Actors like Nani and Karthikeya have extended support to Pawan Kalyan’s speech in parts. On the other hand, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has released a note stating the statements are individuals’ own opinions.

Now Manchu Vishnu has also come forward and expressed his opinion on the issue. Vishnu indirectly termed Pawan’s accusation on the online ticket portal as inaccurate. He stated that it was the representatives from the TFI who made the request first on the matter and then only did the AP government release the orders. Vishnu added that if the G.O was really unfair, why didn’t any of the representatives claim that?

Earlier speaking at the Republic pre-release event, Pawan Kalyan had alleged the AP government of ulterior motives. “The State government is trying to make money from selling tickets. It would seek loans from banks by showing the revenue that is obtained from selling tickets,” he alleged.

Looks like the YSRCP government has taken serious note of Pawan Kalyan’s comments made at the recent ‘Republic’ pre-release event. Just a day after Pawan’s ferocious speech, I&PR Minister hit back at the actor and questioned his credentials.

Now another YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has also attacked Pawan Kalyan on the issue. He stated that the film industry itself is fed up with the actor’s behavior and that is why everyone’s distancing themselves from the matter.

‘He further added that the government will go ahead with its plan of online ticketing. The government is planning to come up with a framework in the next 10 days.

He further stated that Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy was always available for talks with Tollywood representatives on the issue.

RRR makers to come up with a release date announcement

RRR makers are under serious dilemma and pressure is mounting on them day by day. The film has undergone several delays and has pushed its release multiple times. The movie already has had three release day changes. Initially planned for 30th July 2020, the movie then moved to 8th Jan 2021. From this date, it was pushed to 13th October 2021 and now it will have one more change. This delay is facing major opposition from the distributors who are not happy with the continuous delays on the project.

While the RRR release date was still in uncertainty, a lot of Tollywood biggies locked the Sankranti 2022 release date. Now, suddenly reports have emerged that even RRR makers are eyeing that Sankranti slot and they will make an announcement on it soon. This has raised many questions about the makers’ decision.

One of the primary reasons for this is the mounting pressure from all the distributors and exhibitors who have paid hefty amounts as advances for the film. The exhibitors and distributors are seeking a return on the advances paid to buy upcoming Sankranti releases and have stated that post the release of these films, they will pay back Danayya.

However, now the bigger question remains- Will RRR come for Sankranti?. While the Sankranti release date announcement could only to evade distributors’ pressure, the only condition this could happen is if SS Rajamouli, Danayya, and other movie teams are on the same page and everyone agrees to this release date.

Sai Dharam Tej is fast recovering from the injuries from the accident that took place earlier this month. The actor is currently receiving treatment at the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad.

Republic director Deva Katta said that the actor is now talking and responding well to the treatment. “He is talking and has started having food lightly. He also watched the Republic event”, said the director in a recent interview.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s recent attack on YSRCP leaders at the recent Republic pre-release event has evoked mixed responses. Nani and Karthikeya have supported Pawan’s statements and requested the government to look into TFI’s grievances. On the other hand, TFCC has distanced itself from the comments made by the ‘Bheemla Nayak actor.

Now Posani Krishna Murali, a known sympathizer of the YSRCP government has come ahead and made some sensational statements. Posani directly attacked Pawan Kalyan over his remuneration claims. Posani claimed that Pawan charges Rs 50 crores for a film and rubbished the latter’s claim of charging Rs 10 crores. These comments come amidst the ongoing tussle between TFI and the AP government over the ticket prices and sales and occupancy restrictions.

“If Pawan Kalyan actually charges Rs 10 crores, then I’m ready to sign him for 4 films by paying him Rs 15 crores. Will he do it?” questioned Posani. Posani further stated that If Pawan can actually prove that he doesn’t charge Rs 50 crore per movie, then he is ready to face any consequences.
