RRR tops global box office, beats Batman to claim no.1 spot

RRR’s blockbuster run is creating massive waves all over the world. The SS Rajamouli action drama got off to a rocking start at the box office and has posted unimaginable numbers. The movie opened to positive reports amidst a huge buzz and collected a share of ₹108.79Crs on its first day with ALL-TIME RECORD numbers in 6 territories of Telugu States.

The film continued its terrific run on the 2nd and 3rd day as well to round up a blockbuster weekend. RRR has now collected Rs 480Cr gross on the 1st-weekend worldwide marking the highest collection over this weekend for any film. To put into context, Robert Pattinson starrer Batman collected Rs 350 crores over the same weekend.

This is a huge achievement for the Jr NTR- Ram Charan starrer action drama. The action drama has crossed $9M mark in the USA and is racing towards double digits. The film is expected to breakeven by before 2nd weekend only.

The film is holding strong in almost all the regions across India as well as overseas. Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s performance is being appreciated the world over and Rajamouli is also flooded with appreciation and ovations all over.

The most awaited release after RRR, KGF 2 is getting ready to hit the screens on 14th April. As the release date is getting nearby, the team started promotions by launching Toofan song. As a part of the promotions, the team has gifted the trailer today for the fans who have been waiting for long time.

A grand trailer launch event is organised by the team at Bengaluru. Yash, Prashanth Neel, Sanjay Dutt, Ravina Tandon, Radhika Pandit and other attended the event. Dr. Shivraj kumar is the chief guest. The trailer was released in the event and simultaneously in the digital media by the star heroes of different industries. In Telugu, mega Powerstar Ramcharan releases the Telugu trailer on his birthday.

The trailer started with continuing the legacy of KGF. Prakash Raj, Raveen Tandon, Sanjay Dutt are introduced and set the space for hero to elevate. Yash was seen after 1 min 20 Secs into the trailer. Though the trailer showcased that the scale is going to be huge, Not even a single powerful dialogue is in the trailer.

Sanjay Dutt’s look is terrific and fierce full but the same impact is not created through the dialogues or scenes. A massive backdrop for actions scenes are shown but that lacks the punch as it is felt that emotional point is missing. Fans felt that the trailer cut is average and could have been better. But some felt that the glimpse that has shown in trailer is enough to think what’s in store for theatrical experience.

Official: PVR Cinemas And INOX Announces Merger

PVR Cinemas and INOX Leisure Limited met today to discuss a joint venture together. In what was a successful board meeting, the two theatre giants decided to merge their operations together to create a joint venture together.

PVR Cinemas and INOX are the go-to theatre chains when it comes to leisureful theatrical viewing. They have made a name for themselves by consistently delivering in terms of world-class audio and video quality.

The new venture will be named PVR INOX Limited with the branding of the existing screens to continue as PVR and INOX respectively. New cinemas opened post the merger will be branded as PVR INOX. They will operate 1500+ screens across India.

Ajay Bijli will be appointed as the Managing Director and Sanjeev Kumar would be appointed as the Executive Director. Pawan Kumar will hold the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

Release Date For Ram’s Next Multilingual Movie Is Finalized

Ram Pothineni’s much anticipated next movie ‘The Warrior’ has finally been marked with a release date. The Warrior will witness the Energetic Star in a never before seen cop avatar.

From the first look and posters of the film, The Warrior promises to be a riveting cop drama. The film will release in both Tamil as well as Telugu simultaneously.

In recent times, Ram has worked on his craft and acting skills and made a decent name for himself. He has proven with movies like Ismart Shankar and RED that he is a very bankable actor at the box office.
