Boyapati not happy with producers decision on Akhanda

Boyapati Srinu has put a lot of trust and effort into his latest directorial Akhanda. The director has carved out of ordinary action sequences and together with Balayya, he is confident of delivering a resounding hat-trick. The trade circles are also quite confident of the movie’s performance and the pre-release business is proof of that.

However, there is a major discontentment from Boyapati’s side and is leading to clashes with the producers. The film completed its censor yesterday and it has a runtime of 2 hours and 47 minutes 15 seconds. As has been his style, Boyapati has included some heavy-duty action sequences and dialogues.

The censor board has recommended heavy cuts into the movie if the makers need a U/A certificate. The producers are willing to go for cuts and receive and U/A certificate. Boyapati, on the other hand, doesn’t want any major cuts and is comfortable with an A certificate for the film. This difference of opinion is causing a tussle between the producer and director. The mass action entertainer is all set to release on 2nd December.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup 1st week collections

Dulquer Salman’s Kurup was released amidst great fanfare last week and has completed its first week successfully with good numbers. This biographical crime thriller was released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada worldwide on 12th November.

The film collected Rs 22 crores gross in Kerala over the first weekend. During the same period, its grossed Rs 4 crores in TN, Rs 4 crores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The film also grossed Rs 4 crores in Karnataka and Rs 1.5 crores in the rest of India.

The overseas performance of this biographical crime thriller has been decent and the film grossed Rs 23 crores in the first week. All in all, Kurup grossed Rs 59.5 crores in its first-week run.

Srinath Rajendran has directed this crime drama and it starts Shobhita Dhulipala and Manoj Bajpayee in key roles. The film is based on the life and journey of Kerala’s most famous fugitive criminal Sukumara Kurup.

Whether Balayya maintains a diplomatic silence or not needs to be seen.

‘Naatu Naatu’ pales infront of Allu Arjun’s ‘Saami’ song

The recently released RRR song Naatu Naatu has got the entire nation grooving. The Hindi version and expectedly Telugu version are doing great in terms of YouTube views and their popularity on social media is growing exponentially.

The song was well appreciated for its electric dance steps by Tarak and Charan and groovy beats. However, Naatu Naatu has failed to reach the mark set up by Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa’s single Saami.

Saami song was released on 28th October and the RRR Mass Anthem was released on 10th November this month. Saami song has been growing in terms of views and has been taking giant leaps right from day one. Compared to this, the growth of Naatu Naatu has been comparatively slower.

Coming to the views, the Telugu Version of Saami has registered 44 million views while Tarak and Charan song stands at 20 million odd.

The Tamil version of Allu Arjun’s song is at 9 million-plus while the RRR dance number is at 3 plus million. In the Malayalam version as well Allu Arjun has a lead with 2 million-plus views compared to Naatu’s 500 thousand views.

While Saami song was released earlier, the RRR song featured not one but two of the top Telugu stars in Tarak and Charan and the views should have been way higher and the growth much faster.

Massive positive vibes for Balakrishna’s Akhanda

Balakrishna’s Akhanda has been one of the most awaited projects right from the day it was announced. The film marks the return of the mass combo of Balakrishna and Boyapati. The massive success of Simha and Legend has heightened expectations. This has ensured that the film does a great pre-release business with great numbers registered across AP and Telangana. The recently released trailer has also given the movie a massive push.

According to inside info, the fights in the films are going to be one of its biggest highlights. Boyapati has also packed the film with emotional content which is sure to appeal across the sections. Dil Raju’s stature and stamina in Nizam area is known to all. However, sometimes this power can also backfire. The ace producer has acquired the Nizam rights for all the three Sankranti biggies RRR, Bheemla Nayak & Radhe Shyam.

Earlier all these three films were supposed to release with a gap. However, now due to some last-minute changes, all the three biggies will hit the screens in a gap of a week. RRR will release first on January 7th followed by Bheemla Nayak on January 12th and Radhe Shyam on January 14th.

While this might come across as a win-win situation, the allotment of theatres has now become a major issue for Dil Raju. He has invested around Rs 120 crores in acquiring these movies and any small mistake can lead to losses.

While the Sankranti clash has left us movie lovers excited, it surely has become a concern for the ace producer. None of the movies are willing to fall back and it needs to be seen how he tackles the issue..

Teja Sajja’s Adbhutam was released today on Disney + Hotstar. This romantic entertainer also features Shivani Rajashekar and the lead pair’s chemistry is receiving good feedback.

Tarak and Nani for Akhanda pre-release event

Akhanda pre-release event is all set to take place at Shilpa Kala Vedika on 27th of this month. The film has created a great buzz with high intensity trailer and Balakrishna’s electric screen presence in it.

Akhanda pre-release event will see Jr NTR and Nani gracing the event. This will be the second time both Nani and JrNTR will be seen on a public platform with Balayya.
