Naga Chaitanya lines up a bilingual film

Naga Chaitanya has got a bunch of interesting films lined up next. After his recent release Bangarraju, he will be seen in Thank You with Vikram Kumar and Bollywood mega project Lal Singh Chaddha. Naga Chaitanya will also soon enter the OTT sphere with a film produced by Sharath Marrar.

Apart from this, he has added another interesting project under his filmography. The Akkineni star has okayed a film with Tamil star director Venkat Prabhu. This will be a bilingual project, and true to Venkat Prabhu’s style, it will be an extremely unique one.

Venkat Prabhu recently delivered a blockbuster Maanadu with Simbu and is on a career-high.

Naga Chaitanya will also soon enter the OTT sphere with a film produced by Sharath Marrar. This will be a horror web series and will feature him in a never-before avatar. Every episode is expected to be shot in a gripping manner so that it invokes curiosity and thrill.

The team is now looking for a young crew who can handle this subject with the sensitivity and required lens of an OTT release. The young actor will join the project once he finishes his commitments with Amir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha and Thank You. Vikram K Kumar is directing Thank You which also stars Rashi Khanna in the lead role opposite ‘Chay’.

Pan Indian Film Hanuman Non-Theatrical Rights Sold For Record Price

Teja Sajja’s first Pan-Indian film Hanuman’s non-theatrical rights have been sold for a record price. The first look motion poster of Hanuman was released a couple of months ago and blew people’s minds away due to its breathtaking visuals.

It looks like this has translated very well for Hanuman’s non-theatrical rights. The Hindi dubbing rights have been bought for a whopping 5 crores. This is extremely impressive for a young actor like Teja Sajja.

Coming to the digital and satellite rights of the film, they have been bought for a combined total of 11 crores. It is also important to mention that this is the price for just the Telugu version of the film.

The makers are marketing the film as Telugu cinema’s first superhero movie. After Minnal Murali took the whole of India by surprise, director Prashant Varma will be hoping that Hanuman also will be added to the list of memorable Indian superheroes.

The film also stars Amritha Iyer in a prominent role. The remaining cast of the film is yet to be confirmed. Prashant Varma, who has directed jaw-dropping films like AWE and Zombie Reddy, is also the director of the movie. K Niranjan has produced the film under Prime Show Entertainments.

Boyapati Srinu is on a career-high after Akhanda. The movie stood as the highest grosser of both Boyapati and Balakrishna’s careers. While the director is rejoicing this success, he has already moved on to his next project and is planning something grand.

According to reports, the director will be joining hands with Ram Pothineni for the next project. True to his style, this Boyapati film will also be a mass action entertainer.

Ram is currently focussing on mass movies and is looking to explore his work in this genre. He will be next seen in a Lingusamy film billed to be a mass action entertainer. This movie is going to be set on a faction backdrop and will be an action entertainer.

Faction films were the flavour of the season in the early to mid-2000s. However, the popularity of the genre faded out with the audience expecting freshness. Now, it will be interesting to see if the Energetic Star is able to revive the genre or not.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how Boyapati Srinu, who throughout his career has only in the mass action genre will present Ram here. Ram will also be seen in another action film ‘The Warrior’ next. This is an action drama where Ram will play a police officer for the first time in his career. The first look of the film looks promising. It is a bilingual project and will release in both Tamil as well as Telugu.

Sharwanand upcoming film releasing on Pawan Kalyan’s date

Sharwanand is going through a lean patch with his last few movies not clicking at the box office. This has put additional pressure on the actor and he is looking to score a hit through unique subjects. Now the actor will be next seen in Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu.

The romantic entertainer stars Rashmika Mandanna alongside the Sharwanand and is carrying great positive vibes. Incidentally, the film will release on 25th February, a date that has been earlier announced by Bheemla Nayak.

Producers leaving no expense for Nani’s Dasara

After the success of Shyam Singha Roy, Nani has his eyes set on his upcoming ambitious project Dasara. Nani’s Dasara is an action thriller and will see the actor in a rustic and rugged look.

Nani’s Dasara is set amid a coal mine backdrop, is slated to be the highest budgeted project in his career, and it would be made on a grand scale. The producers are leaving no expense to ensure the film gets a grand look. Reportedly, a massive 12 acres village set has been erected in Hyderabad outskirts. The film’s majority of the shoot will take place at this locataion

Debutant Srikanth Odela will direct Nani’s Dasara. Sudhakar Cherukuri will produce the action thriller under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas.

The film’s first look titled ‘Siren of Dasara’, the glimpse had the Natural Star’s intense voice-over in the Telangana dialect.

Keerthy Suresh will play the leading lady opposite Nani, which marks their reunion after Nenu Local. The film also has Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Zarina Wahab, and others in key roles.

Nani is also gearing up for Vivek Atreya’s Ante Sundaraniki. Nazriya Nazeem will be seen paired with the Natural Star while Vivek Sagar has composed music for the film.

Reliance to step into OTT space with massive budget

After creating a massive disruption in the communications and entertainments sector with Jio, Mukesh Ambani has now set his eyes on launching an OTT platform.

According to sources, digital media and entertainment is essential pillar of Jio’s digital business strategy. Reliance plans to invest aggressively and grow the digital media business. Very soon an official announcement will be made on the new OTT platform.

Sources also added that Reliance wants to retain management control over the digital operations. They want to invest behind creating India’s number 1 OTT destination as well as a broadcast platform.

“There is a lot of interest from content companies and production houses in partnering with Reliance and Jio, and investors are keen to back such partnerships,” they added.

Reliance-owned Viacom 18 already is involved with the digital streaming platform Voot. Along with that Reliance also is the force behind Jio Cinema. However, this upcoming OTT platform is aiming to compete directly with biggies Netflix and Amazon.

Interestingly, Mukesh Ambani also has plans to go for IPL hosting rights on his OTT platform. Currently, the broadcast rights are bagged by Disney + Hotstar.

Shriya’s Gamanam Streaming Now On OTT

Shriya Saran’s Gamanam released on 10th December in theatres and received positive reviews overall. The film is streaming now on Amazon Prime from 28th January 2022.

The film revolves around 3 stories parallel.

Shriya Saran plays a deaf mother who is waiting for her husband to return from Dubai while working to make ends meet. She is the main highlight of the film. Her honest portrayal of a mother trying to survive in this cruel world makes for a tear-jerking watch.

The second story follows Ali, an aspiring character, played by Shiva Kanduri and Zara, played by Priyanka Jawalkar. Veteran actor Charu Haasan also plays an important character.

The third story is about two underprivileged kids.

The movie also stars Suhas and Nithya Menen in small yet important roles.
