Actors like Suriya, Karthi, and Vikram have earned tremendous stardom in Telugu states because of these films. This is why for a lot of Tamil directors there was a huge market in Telugu states. Even Tamil directors like Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Hari enjoyed great success in Telugu through dubbed films.
Seeing the market in Telugu states a number of Tamil directors have been showing interest in direct Telugu films. Similarly, lot of Telugu stars have started working with Tamil directors in recent times to expand their markets.
However, much to everyone’s disappointment, these films are failing miserably at the box office. The latest film to enter this club is Ram’s The Warrior. Directed by Lingusamy, this bilingual film is heading towards being a huge disaster.
It now needs to be seen how Venkat Prabhu and Samuthirakani perform with their films with Naga Chaitanya and Pawan Kalyan respectively
The film did a massive business of 35 crores in theatrical rights but the first day collections of the film are a meager Rs 6 crores in share. It has only recovered 17% of its money back. Day 2 is even worse as the film has seen a massive drop in collections on day 2. The same trend continued on Day 3 as well.
