Real Star Upendra announced his next movie

Real Star Upendra has posted an interesting poster on social media and announced his return to direction after  Uppi 2, which released in 2015. The poster presented him in a different avatar in which he is sitting on a horse in intense background. Lahari music form entering into film production as Lahari Films with this Pan-India film. They are producing this film along with Venus Entertainers.

Actor and Director Upendra mentioned in his post “In the film industry, it is you who created the story Upendra, it is you who wrote the screenplay & Dialogues for 33 years,it is you who directed through your whistles and claps. I dedicate this film to you the Praja prabhu fans.” That’s really a special announcement to his fans who are waiting for his directorial films. Upendra and Vedhika starrer Home Minister is releasing on 1st April. Tamil music director Gibhran is making his debut in Kannada film industry with Home Minister.

RRR Movie Paid premiers confirmed in india

There are a lot reasons to talk about RRR. And everyday is a new day with some update about the film. Two days back it is the RRR Celebration Anthem update, yesterday it Dubai event details and today about the paid premiers. The movie’s craze has reached its peak. Everyone is confident about the movie’s success. But the makers will have some fear before the release. But with having S S Rajamouli as director there is no doubt that he will create wonders.

As per the latest information, Makers informed the distributors to make the arrangements for paid premiers . The paid show is expected to start at 9 pm on 24th March across India.

Having paid premiere shows a day before the release is a risky attempt. It worked out well for Bahubali and Arjun Reddy. There is a chance of negative talk or crucial scenes leakage. The master director Rajamouli is confident in his film that he is planning paid premiere shows on 24th March night, hours before the actual release date I.e. 25th March. Rajamouli has not seen a single flop in his career and he has been delivering big hits continuously.

The expectations on ‘RRR’ are huge and the numbers will be humongous. Hence, the makers eyeing on even more collections with the paid premiers.

Andhra Pradesh government on Monday approved a new G.O. on permitting new shows and ticket price hikes. Several film producers and makers felt happy for this new G.O. issued. Makers of Radhe Shyam and RRR waited for long and even postponed their film’s release for this ticket price hike. Releasing the film with normal reduced ticket prices would have been a big mistake. However with the ticket hike everything seemed to be good now.

Many celebrities including Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli, Prabhas and Chiranjeevi took appointment from AP CM jagan mohan reddy for appealing for the same. They met him and AP Cinematography minister, Perni nani in person and requested for change in ticket prices. However G.O. was not issued immediately. They took time to release an official G.O. on this too. Recent film Radhe Shyam even released with the revised ticket price hike G.O. But only an additional Rs.25/- was allowed with these revised prices. But still it’s a good deal for the theatre owners

Theatre owners are now happy with these revised G.O. Earlier prices were not liked by them because it used to be difficult for them for maintenance charges of theatres. Before it was 3 crs Maintenance charge for ticket price but now it is 5 crs. Theatre owners are very much happy with this.

Kiran Abbavaram’s Sebastian OTT release date locked

Kiran Abbavaram’s recent starrer Sebastian P.C. 524 received negative talk and reviews from the audience. It was released on March 4. However as said, the film projected as comedy related to night blindness didn’t register well with audience. The film is about to get released on OTT now. The release date is also locked. The film will be releasing on Telugu OTT Aha on March 18.

Kiran Abbavaram who rose to fame with his short films did Raja Vaaru Rani gaaru as his debut film. This film had a major backing of comedy, love story and youth elements which made the film a known one. His next film SR Kalyanamandapam written by himself too had the same youth aspects mixed with Sai Kumar’s solo performance which too saved the film. But his choosing of Sebastian as a police with a serious subject and performance didn’t go well the audience.

He has now 5 films in the line. One under the production of GA2 pictures too. We have to wait and see how these films fare.

Radhe Shyam holds strong on Day 2 !

Radhe Shyam starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde released on March 11 yesterday in all Indian languages. The film has managed to get a mixed talk. Prabhas who once was a regional hero became the country’s sensation over night with the huge success of Bahubali. This is also his next after Blockbuster Bahubali and Action entertainer Sahoo. So the expectations are naturally high on this film. The film has opened big on Day 1 and managed to collect 24cr+ in AP/TS and around 35 crs+ share worldwide for Telugu version.

The film being a love story had an average start. Earlier films of Prabhas had action. However Prabhas who is presently considered as a Pan-Indian star didn’t do well at Hindi market. The film managed to collect around 6.5 crs gross in the Hindi market which is not good. He already has two projects being filmed as Pan-Indian films.

Despite mixed reviews and Class genre Radhe Shyam had very good noon shows on Day 2 and Advance shows becoming full for the rest of the shows. In A centers the movie is performing extraordinary naturally due to the love story that the film is based on. But in B & C centres it is only decent. The occupancy is also good. The film will also perform good on Day 3 because of it being a Sunday. We have to wait and see how the film performs after the weekend.

Puneeth Raj Kumar’s James releasing in record number of screens

Puneeth Rajkumar’s much anticipated film James is all set for March 17th release and the hype for the movie is is at its peak. Fans across the state are eager to watch their favourite star on-screen for one last time and the movie is expected to shatter multiple records.

As a mark of respect for the legendary star, distributors across Karnataka have decided to not release any movie during the first week. The advance booking for the film has opened and there is an extraordinary demand for the tickets all over. James will have a massive release and will open in a record number of screens. As a matter of fact, trade circles are expecting this film to even shatter Yash’s KGF opening records in Karnataka.

Chethan Kumar has directed this action entertainer Kishore Pathikonda has produced it under Kishore Productions. Priya Anand is playing the female lead and the extended cast features Anu Prabhakar, Srikanth, R Sarathkumar in key roles.

Incidentally, Puneeth’s elder brother Shiva Rajkumar has dubbed for his younger brother for James. Both of Puneeth’s brothers, Shiva Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar will also be appearing in cameo roles.

FIR telugu movie streaming now on OTT

FIR starrer Vishnu Vishal released on 11 February. The film managed to secure a good word of mouth. It even managed to get good reviews. Many appreciated the performance of Vishnu Vishal in the lead role. The film ended up as a decent film for him in the recent times. Now the film is making it’s entry into OTT. The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Just like Vishwaroopam, FIR is a thriller set against the terrorism backdrop that wants to show how wrong it is to blame an entire people for the horrific acts committed by a few from that same community. Just like how Vishwaroopam faced some banning for some time. This film was completely banned in Malaysia, Qatar and Kuwait.

The film has some good performances from Manjima Mohan, Gautam Vasudev Menon and the rest. Director Manu Anand, who earlier worked as an assistant director for many GVM’s movies, makes a decent debut with FIR. We have too see how the film fare on OTT. Valimai’s director blamed audience for the mixed reports !

Ajith and Karthikeya starrer Valimai opened very big on day 1. The film collected more than 30 crs share on the opening day itself. However the film lost the pace and started to decline after the weekend. But the film perfomed well in the second weekend surprisingly. Initially the film was riding high with lot of expectations. The talk of the film effected it’s first weekend. But the film slowly picked up it’s pace during the second weekend.

The film generated some repeat viewing. Valimai has crossed 150 crore gross mark at the box-office after the second weekend. The film now entered into the third weekend. Valimai’s total theatrical gross business is valued at nearly 187 crores. The film needs to gross 37 crores more to achieve breakeven status which looks not impossible now.  The film grossed nearly 100 crs at Tamil Nadu box-office alone. It needs to gross another 15 crore to hit breakeven status there. 

In a recent interview, Valimai’s director took a dig at the audience. He has told that the audience have become restless because of YouTube Shorts. He clearly was dissatisfied with the mixed reports that the film got during the first weekend and on the other weekdays.

Allu Arjun who used to be one of the young actors once in Tollywood earned himself a big name for each and every film. He is now considered one of the top stars of Tollywood at present. He did many films which appealed to all kinds of audience. His latest release Pushpa even gone forward in making him popular through out the country. He is now on par with Prabhas and KGF fame Yash in terms of craze. Well this is very surprising.

Allu Arjun who used to be a regional hero gradually earned fans through his dubbed films in Hindi. The stylish quotient and the dances he did brought him close to these audiences. Every hero has some dream period where his position is better than others. Few year ago Jr.NTR, Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan were ahead from other stars.

Prabhas came to the race with mighty blockbuster Bahubali and Sahoo making him complete Pan-Indian star. The same happened to Allu Arjun with Pushpa. Allu Arjun suffered failure with Naa Peru Naa Illu India. He then took a break and came back strongly with Ala Vaikuntapurramulo with Trivikram as the director. This film went on to become the biggest blockbuster for him. What’s more surprising his much bigger hit with Pushpa recently.

Pushpa’s era

After the success of Ala Vaikuntapurramulo Allu arjun okayed Pushpa with Sukumar. It was planned as a Pan-Indian film right from the beginning. It was also made into two parts on the lines of Bahubali. Pushpa’s popularity immensely increased with it’s songs which became a nation wide sensation. Many celebrities and cricketers even started imitating many mannerisms and dance movements of Pushpa. The film too managed to appeal to the audiences. This was completely unexpected.

The craze Pushpa’s sequel film is getting is also huge. Considering this, Allu Arjun is in a very comfortable position when compared to the rest of the stars. Pushpa 2 will surely be opening big at worldwide box-office. This clearly indicates Allu Arjun’s dominance and his era in Tollywood. We must wait and see what he does after Pushpa.
