Kerala Government to launch the official portal for booking Movie tickets

Official Ticketing portal for movie tickets is the plan for few governments. Even in Tollywood we hear that government is making some efforts to bring the government’s official ticketing portal for movies. But seems like Kerala will launch the booking portal before Andhra Pradesh. The Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) with the Kerala Film Producers Association is trying to introduce e-ticketing system in the state for more transparency. e-ticketing system will make the existing system more transparent and help local bodies and producers know the exact collections from films.

The private ticketing platforms are charging huge internet handling charges for movie tickets. Usually in Kerala Many theatres  collect 20 to 35 per ticket as handling fee. KSFDC is also planning to integrate private portals with government portal. This helps the system to monitor the GST collection and exact number of tickets sold in the state. Let’s see how this goes.

Mohanlal’s latest film releasing on OTT this weekend

Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal’s latest flick Aaraattu released on 18th February and got very good response. B. Unnikrishnan directed the massy entertainer under RD Illuminations in association with Hippi prime motion pictures and MPM group. The movie has lot of references from few movies that attracted audience. Few references from Mohanlal movies made his fans to go crazy in theatres. AR Rahman cameo also came out well in the movie.

The fans are delighted for Mohanlal’s powerful performance. After few content driven films, Mohanlal came up with mass entertainer that his fans are waiting for. Even Telugu people started enjoying Malayalam films after the introduction of OTT. And Especially Mohanlal’s movies fare well with Telugu audience as well. Aaraattu is ready to stream on Amazon Prime from 20th March.

RRR censor details, lengthiest runtime in Rajamouli’s career

SS Rajamouli’s RRR censor formalities were completed earlier today. The details are out and as expected, this is going to be a long film! At a runtime of 3 hours and 6 Minutes 54 seconds, RRR is all set to be the lengthiest movie of the director’s career.

The movie has received a U/A rating with minute cuts and now all eyes are set on the release on 25th March. The RRR censor talk also has been quite positive much to the relief of many. The trio of Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan are busy with the promotions and back-to-back interviews and events. The team will travel to Dubai and then will get back to India for events in Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, Kolkata, Varanasi before heading back to Hyderabad.

Rajamouli is quite confident of RRR’s success. Infact, the director has gone on record saying this is the best movie of his career. Predicting the performance of the film at the box office, the ace director said that RRR will be bigger and better than Baahubali 1 as well as Baahubali 2. This statement from the filmmaker has heightened the expectations from fans to a great extent.

AP Minister Perni Nani revealed the budget of RRR

Director Rajamouli met AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani on 15 March and appealed for the ticket price hike for his upcoming film RRR. This film is slated to release on 25th March. The film also stars leading heroes of Tollywood, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan produced by D.V.V. Danayya with a massive budget. But no exact details of the budget project came up till now.

But AP Cinematography Minister, Perni Nani has given a clarity on the budget of the film. He said that RRR team had given him a report stating the budget as 336 crores without the remuneration of both heroes and director, SS Rajamouli. He went on to say that the budget’s details are being verified and the price for the ticket hike will be decided after the verification process.

Well it looks like there is no confirmation yet on the ticket price hike for RRR. Radhe Shyam which released on March 11 had only an additional Rs.25 hike with the already revised ticket prices. Now, RRR team badly wants the ticket prices to be at Rs.300 for atleast 10 days or for two weeks. Let’s wait and see what happens.

K.S. Ramarao produced many notable movies under creative commercials banner. The renowned producer conducted a press meet today to clarify rumours on Film Nagar cultural centre in Visakhapatnam. He said that he read a news article mentioning that was removed from Film Nagar cultural centre president’s post. He denied the rumours through this press meet.

While talking about relationship between film industry and Government, he said that he believes that government will always do good for film industry. When he was asked to comment on ticket rates issue, the senior producer said that no where we in the world any government has involved in ticket prices matter. Only Andhra Pradesh government is doing this and he said that he don’t understand the intention of government on this. He also told that if you take any country that produces cinema, no producer or industry went to government and discuss about prices.

K.S. Ramarao also said that if the same thing continues producers have to cut the budget for the films. He commented that it is just a bit relief that the tickets prices are increased little bit.

After the success of Pushpa, Stylish Star Allu Arjun does not want to take any risk. He has even cancelled the Icon project and Boyapati Srinu’s film also. He is still looking into all the combinations. He wants to do a film with a star director after Pushpa : The Rule. This director must have a Pan-Indian reputation and film must also be a commercial genre.

Allu Arjun was just a regional hero once. He used to enjoy the popularity in Hindi through his dubbed films on YouTube. Films like Sarrainodu and DJ received millions of views. But he never concentrated on Hindi market. He continued only as a Telugu Hero. But with Pushpa becoming even a hit in Hindi made him think to concentrate seriously on this market. Prabhas who once was also a regional hero became an overnight sensation with Bahubali. Allu Arjun too wants to repeat the same magic.

Allu Arjun is currently doing the sequel of Pushpa and he is upcoming film is not yet finalized. He recently even met Sanjay Leela Bhansali at his office. It is also rumored that he might do a film with Rajamouli. But he is taking more care about his next project.

RRR – The biggest multi starrer of Tollywood is about to hit the screens. So the fans of NTR and Ram charan are gearing up for celebrations. For a big star’s movie release we see a lot of banners, cutouts, garlands, posters at theatres. What if the movie has two stars, the theatres will be filled completely with them. For a multi starrer the fans of two heroes will compete each other in showing their love towards their hero. The same thing is happening with RRR. 

NTR fans started their celebrations few days back and the airplane banner by US NTR fans have gone viral. Now it is Ramcharan fans’ turn and they come up with very good idea of displaying the video  of Ram Charan at Times Square, New York. The video featuring only Ram Charan’s episodes from RRR and they mentioned Jai Charan. Even NTR airplane banner has Jai NTR on it. So Ram Charan fans tried to give a strong counter to NTR fans with massive celebrations at USA.

The competition is good as far as it is healthy. In the olden days for multistarrer movies, there are lot of incidents of damaging property and fighting each other. But now we are seeing healthy competition which is good for the industry. Let’s enjoy the euphoria of RRR.
