KGF Director Prashant Neel Reveals An Interesting Update About NTR Film

During an interaction with the media, Prashant Neel was asked about an update from his film with JR.NTR. He said that NTR 31 will go on floors from April or May 2023. JR.NTR will first finish shooting for Koaratala Siva’s NTR 30 and then move to NTR 31 with Prashant Neel.

The first look of NTR from the film promises yet another mass commercial film from Prashant Neel. It has also been ages since we have seen NTR in such a rough look. If it is anything like KGF, fans and movie lovers are in for a wild ride.

However, Prashant Neel is currently busy with the shooting of Prabhas’ Salaar. The film has been shot extensively in various locations inside and outside India. They have shot in some exquisite locations in Europe as well.

An interesting update was also released earlier today about Salaar. Salaar will release in theatres on September 28th, 2023. There is still some shooting work pending which will be completed as soon as Prabhas is free.

Superstar Mahesh Babu In Waiting Mode For The First Time

It is a well-known fact that Mahesh Babu likes to take his time off from movies and relax with his family. After every big film, he usually goes on a vacation with his family. Post the release of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, he took off on a family break to cool off with his wife and two kids.

He is now back from his vacation to shoot for his next untitled venture SSMB28 with Trivikram. It was originally planned to go on sets this week but it has been pushed to a various date.

Mahesh is all set and ready to start shooting but due to the Producers Guild’s decision to ban the shooting of films, he is idle at home. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu has kept himself occupied with a few ad shoots for his brand endorsements.

The Producers Guild took a decision to hold shootings in view of the recent struggles of the industry. But the recent releases like Bimbisara, Sita Ramam, and Karthikeya 2 have shown that the only problem is good content. If the content is good, the audiences will happily come to the theatres in bunches. Sita Ramam is going strong even on Day 10 while Karthikeya is posting houseful shows on Day 3.

Naga Chaitanya Under Huge Pressure After Successive Failures

Success and failure are very common when you are in the Film Industry. It is perhaps the most volatile industry which means that your market value keeps changing. An actor who is at the peak of their career at one point can also be in the pits at the next moment. This is a part and parcel of being in the film industry.

At one point Naga Chaitanya was struggling with back-to-back flops but he bounced back with continuous successes like Majili, Venky Mama, and Love Story. Just when everything was going right for the actor, he is now back to the flop streak once again.

After the unanimous success of Love Story, Thank You was an equally massive disaster. The movie recorded some of the worst collections of all time. This was quickly followed by Laal Singh Chaddha where Naga Chaitanya played an extended cameo. After Thank You’s failure, Laal Singh Chaddha has also failed miserably, making it two consecutive disasters for Chaitanya.

The main problem is that both the movies even failed to get decent openings. This means that the audiences are not that interested in the actor. If the movie fails after the opening day that is at least fine but an opening day crash is an extremely worrying sign. He needs to deliver a huge success now to recover from these failures.

Naga Chaitanya will next be seen in a Vikram Kumar web series Dootha, followed by a Venkat Prabhu venture.

Karthikeya 2 Is Another Example Of The Craze For Sequels At Box Office

Karthikeya 2 was released in theatres on 13th August and opened to good first-day collections at the box office. The positive word of mouth further helped the film to post extraordinary collections on Day 2 and Day 2 subsequently.

The prequel to Karthikeya 2 was also a massive success and is partly responsible for the hype for Karthikeya 2 today. This is not a very uncommon trend for sequels to generate a lot of buzz among the audiences.

We have seen in this the past with movies like Baahubali: The Conclusion and KGF Chapter 2. Both the films have posted tremendous collections just because of franchise value. These two are huge blockbusters in both languages. In fact, KGF Chapter 2 being a Kannada film, did 100 crores in share for the Telugu version alone.

Now Karthikeya 2 is also doing excellent revenues with just decent ratings and reviews. The movie is performing on par with some tier 2 range heroes. In fact, it is also outshining some tier 2 heroes movies. This is also the highest ever revenue for a Nikhil film.

If a small franchise like Karthikeya can amass such audiences then the range of Pushpa will be astounding. Karthikeya 2 also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Reddy, and Viva Harsha. Chandoo Mondeti is the director of the film and Kaala Bhairava is the music director.

Salaar release date poster is stunning, Prabhas at his best

The makers of Salaar earlier today gave a massive update that the fans have been eagerly waiting for Salaar will release on September 28th, 2023. This massive announcement was made through a poster featuring Prabhas in all his macho glory.

Prabhas can be seen holding two swords standing victoriously in a sea of bodies all around him. His screen presence and look are terrific and so is his ripped physique in the poster which has got fans completely satisfied.

https://twitter.com/hombalefilms/status/1559079443196411904

The only disappointing thing about the update is that the movie lovers will have to wait for more than a year to catch the glimpse of their ‘Darling’. However, one thing can be said for sure since it’s Prashanth Neel handling the project, the action sequences are going to be completely mind-blowing, and waiting for 1 year is totally going to be worth it!

Salaar is bankrolled by KGF makers Hombale Films and just like the Yash starter, music will be composed by Ravi Basrur. Shruti Haasan will feature opposite Prabhas for the first time in this action entertainer and Jagapathy Babu will play the negative role. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran will also play a key role in this project.

Due to the massive positive buzz for the movie, Hombale Films have decided to extend the budget of the film. The makers have decided to utilize and market Prabhas’s craze and have decided to increase the budget by about 15-20%.
