Akshay Kumar says Bollywood will copy Tollywood’s idea

Bollywood is going through a pretty lean patch at the moment. Barring a few movies like Bhool Bhulaiya 2, The Kashmir Files, and Jug Jug Jiyo, most of the films have tanked miserably leaving Bollywood trade circles in a disarray. This week’s releases Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan both are turning out to be massive disasters as well.

Both these films are big-budget films and trade circles were hoping these films would revive the market much to their disappointment.

Speaking about this dull phase, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has suggested that Tollywood has now set a trend that Bollywood should look to follow. Akshay Kumar’s both films Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj and Rakshan Bandhan have failed big time this year.

“I  believe Telugu industry is preparing for a correction, want to rectify this system of filmmaking. Since they have taken an initiative, I hope they can come up with the right solution, and perhaps Hindi industry can do the same, so that things can settle down.”
