1000 cr target for RRR team, Can Rajamouli hit bull’s eye again ?

RRR starring Jr.NTR and Ram Charan directed by S.S. Rajamouli is slated for release on 25 March this week. All arrangements regarding the ticketing prices and theatre allotments are done. The film is just to release with advance bookings already topping everywhere in Telugu. The film made on a budget around 330 crores as reported by the team, is said to have made a whopping 500 crore theatrical business worldwide. This is shocking. This will also be the first 500 cr theatrical business film for both Jr.NTR and Ram Charan. Now the team is eyeing to touch the 1000 cr mark after the release.

Earlier films of both Jr.NTR and Ram Charan didn’t cross the 300 crore mark. So a 1000 cr box office mark for both will be a difficult one. But Rajamouli did it twice with his Bahubali 1 and Bahubali 2 which created sensation all over the country. This is also Rajamouli’s next film after the Bahubali franchise. He is also eyeing for the same to repeat the magic again with RRR. But can he hit the bull’s eye again ?

Bahubali with it’s king story backdrop and huge VFX setup appealed to all the sections of the country’s audience. That was also a universal subject. But RRR lacks the setup of Bahubali and it is also based on the freedom fight struggle. The film might perform big in AP/TS but the film might face the heat in rest of the languages. Advance bookings of Other languages are also not up to the mark. With Kashmir Files and Bachchan Pandey both receiving good talk, it will be a big task for RRR to score high in Hindi market. All these make it a difficult task.

Box-office: The Kashmir Files scores big in second weekend

The Kashmir Files is taking box-office on a storm. Released as a small budget film, the film did wonders at the box-office by colecting more than 15 crores each day. The film performed in the first weekend with it’s word of mouth picking up and this film now scored big in the second weekend also. Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborthy played lead roles in the film. The film was directed by Vivek Agnihotri.

Kashmir Files released on March 11 along with Radhe Shyam. There were lots of expectations on Radhe Shyam even in the Hindi Market. But Kashmir Files took all all the trade experts by surprise. Radhe Shyam underperformed at the box-office. From then Kashmir Files took the charge. It was unstoppable on each passing day. The film has also touched 150 crores nett at the box-office. This is a big achievement.

Now the film collected around 71 cr nett in the second weekend taking the total collections to 167 crores. The 2nd weekend collections of the film are just behind both Bahubali 2 and Dangal which is phenomenal. This 2nd weekend collections were slightly affected by Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer, Bachchan Pandey which opened with good talk. Otherwise the film would have easily recorded higher collections than Bahubali 2 and Dangal in the second weeked. The film is on it’s way to even touch the 300 cr mark if the same momentum continues even for the third weekend.

Venkatesh in talks with young director for a film

Venkatesh is busy doing his current film F3 co-starring Varun Tej and directed by Anil Ravipudi. He is also in talks with a young director for a film. This young director is none other than the director of recent hit film Jathi ratnalu, K.V. Anudeep. Jathi Ratnalu became a major hit starring Naveen Polishetty. The film filled with comedy became a maiden hit for him.

Anudeep has recently started filming his next film with Tamil actor, Siva Karthikeyan. This project is a Telugu Tamil bi-lingual co-produced by brother of Venkatesh, Suresh Babu under his SP Productions. This film is not yet titled. This film is also Siva Karthikeyan’s debut in Telugu who is riding high with his recent blockbuster, Doctor.

It is obvious that this interaction with Suresh Babu is making Anudeep be in talks for his upcoming film with Venkatesh. This film might also be in the comedy backdrop. However details and cast of the film is not yet known. This project might also be produced by his brother Suresh Babu. Venkatesh had two direct releases on Amazon Prime Video in 2021 Narappa and Drushyam 2 both being remakes of Tamil film, Asuran and Malayalam film, Drishyam 2.

Manchu Manoj’s serious comments on Nagababu

Manchu Manoj, actor and son of Mohanbabu took a serious dig at Megastar Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagababu in Mohanbabu’s birthday event. Manoj who never indulges in such replies or comments made some serious comments on Nagababu. He referred to the incidents that happened during Movie Artistes Association (MAA) Elections 2021.

MAA Elections 2021 had two sides competing for the president post. Mohanbabu’s elder son and actor Manchu Vishnu competed for the president post of MAA with his team. Actor Prakash Raj too competed for the post with his team. But eventually Manchu Vishnu became the president of MAA. This Prakash Raj’s team was actively supported by Megastar Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagababu. Nagababu criticized several actors who supported Manchu Vishnu’s side. He even went on to criticize Mohanbabu directly.

Manchu Manoj who happens to be the younger son of Mohanbabu never reacted on these incidents. He remained silent completely. But he now made serious comments on Nagababu saying that some person targeted his brother Manchu Vishnu repeatedly. He also said that this person doesn’t have any higher purpose in his life indirectly taking a dig at Nagababu. We have to see how Nagababu responds to these comments.

RRR pre release event was huge with around 3 lakh people attended. So with that huge crowd there is a possibility of some undisciplinary acts. But some attention seeking Pawan kalyan fans went over board and done something which is not fair. Two of the unknown fans of Pawan kalyan climbed the tower that is placed for the speaker box which is the top point of Ram charan fans gallery with Janasena flag.

The police officials and event organisers pleaded them to get down but those two denied the request and continued unwanted act. As a result they received an ugly response.

Ram Charan fans got disappointed with Pawan kalyan fans behaviour and thrown slippers and bottles at Janasena flag. This kind of behaviour is not the first time from power star fans. They have been doing such acts in mega family events and some times they even got scoldings.

We know the incidents where Naga babu fired on Pawan fans, and Allu Arjun showed his discomfort for Pawan fans behaviour. And even Pawan kalyan himself seen irritated. Pawan fans has to keep in mind that these incidents will make their hero to get bad name instead of attention they are seeking for.

Well known Bollywood director Kabir Khan and Bollywood star hero Ranveer Singh starrer ’83’ was released on 24th December,2020 in theatres. The movie is based on the 1983 Cricket World Cup and Ranveer Singh played the role of the then captain Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev captained Team India to victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. 

Deepika Padukone played the role of Kapil Dev’s wife. Along with them Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jeeva, played key roles. Produced under the banner of Reliance Entertainments, the film was released in Telugu under the banner of Annapurna Studios by Nagarjuna. However the film is opened with mixed reviews, many people are waiting for this film to watch it on OTT.

The film which is supposed to release in OTT after 8 weeks of release. But due to some legal issues over digital rights, the film didn’t release on OTT. Now the issues are sorted out and high court gave permission to stream the movie on OTT platforms. 

Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar without any delay started streaming ‘83’ The movie in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Those who missed the movie in theatres, watch this sports drama along with your family.

RRR Movie Team All praises for Megastar Chiranjeevi

RRR team held a grand event at chikballapur, Karnataka. Almost about 3 lakh people attended the event. NTR fans, Charan fans and other people all around from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka were present at the event.

Karnataka CM and health minister are the chief guests along with Kannada superstar Shivrajkumar. The speeches of Ram Charan, NTR and Rajamouli are the highlights of the event. In his speech, Rajamouli praised megastar Chiranjeevi. Is Chiranjeevi the chief guest? No, he didn’t attend the event either. Then why did Rajamouli appreciate Chiranjeevi? It is mainly for the efforts he showed in for ticket issue.

RRR Director Rajamouli and Producer Danayya garu had specially mentioned megastar Chiranjeevi for helping out for ticket prices by talking with both governments. Rajamouli emotionally spoke about Chiranjeevi that though Megastar who like to be called as Industries’s loving son rather than Industrie’s big head, he is the Industrie’s big head in all terms.


SSR also told that Megastar is the one who took initiative to talk to state ministers about the ticket price issue. The ticket prices was really helpful to the Movie Team for Huge business in Telugu states.

Rajamouli also mentioned that Chiranjeevi has to take blame from many people in the process. But for industrie’s well being, megastar took all the blame and stood for Industry which made him a true megastar in the eyes of Rajamouli. RRR producer Dvv Danayya garu also praised Chiranjeevi for helping them out to sort ticket price issues with the government.

RRR worldwide pre-release business and box office classification [All Languages]

RRR is all set to hit the screen on 25th March and the anticipation is rising with every passing day. The trio of Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan are busy with the promotions and back-to-back interviews and events. The movie has done a record pre-release business and trade circles are expecting a massive opening across the territories.

The combined pre-release business of RRR all the languages worldwide stands at a whopping Rs 509 crores. The Telugu states total stands at Rs 224 crores. Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Kerala states theatrical business is as follows:

  • Karnataka: ₹45 Crs
  • Tamilnadu: ₹42 Crs
  • Kerala: ₹10 Crs

The overall rest of India’s business stands at Rs 110 crores apart from above three states. Overseas theatrical business raked in a solid Rs 78 crores for the makers.

Ajith’s Valimai OTT streaming date locked

Ajith and Karthikeya starrer Valimai has locked it’s OTT steaming date. Valimai will stream on Zee 5 on March 25. Zee studios also was one of the production partners of Valimai. Earlier film of Ajith, Nerkonda Paarvai, the remake of Pink also streamed on Zee 5. This will be the consecutive film of Ajith on Zee 5.

Valimai deals with Ill effects on Youth with Motobike stunts and robberies. Telugu Actor Karthikeya played the antagonist in the film, making it also his debut in Tamil industry. He earlier too played antagonist in Nani starrer Nani’s Gang Leader. Valimai has crossed alsmot 150 crore gross Worldwide. It also grossed more than 100 crores alone in Tamil Nadu. This will be the last weekend for Valimai. It will release on OTT in the coming weekend.

Ajith has already okayed another film, #AK61 with Valimai’s director and Producer Boney Kapoor making it their 3rd consecutive film. The film will see Ajith in a negative role as rumoured. He was also seen sporting a full grown beard with a ear stud. Ajith has also signed another film with Lyca Productions tentatively titled as #AK62. This film will be directed by young director, Vignesh Shivan. Details of this projected were announced yesterday.
