KGF2 is its own release by Hombale Films in all languages and is on its way to a record-opening business for sure. It is a pan- India project and will release in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam.

KGF: Chapter 2 will be helmed by Prashanth Neel and it stars Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, and Srinidhi Shetty among others.

This pan-India project had terrific advance bookings and pre-sales both domestically as well as overseas. KGF:2 is having the biggest release ever for a Kannada movie and is all set to have a record opening on Day 1.

Vijay’s Beast 1st day Box office estimates- All-time record opening

0

Vijay’s Beast has finally hit the screens amidst massive hype and fan celebrations. While the movie has opened to mostly below-par reviews, the openings for this action thriller have broken records.

Beast has got off to a sensational start at Boxoffice. Only the Tamil version gross is expected to be more than 75Cr+ gross worldwide which is a record opening for a Kollywood film. The Telugu version has also recorded excellent openings and a close to double-digit opening is expected in Telugu states.

The massive hype around the film and the star power of Vijay made sure that the film got off to an amazing start. Not just in Tamil Nadu, there was an extraordinary demand for tickets and presales overseas and Kerala as well.

Nelson Dileepkumar has directed this action thriller that revolves around a hostage situation at the mall. Vijay plays a RAW officer in the film and is entrusted with saving the day. Vijay’s Beast also stars Pooja Hegde, Redin Kingsley, and Selvaraghavan among others.

Acharya team to release yet another trailer

0

Megastar chiranjeevi’s Acharya trailer was released and failed to create the buzz. The movie has had enough elements to pull the megastar fans. Ram charan whose craze got doubled after RRR’s success is an added advantage to Acharya. Fans are dying to see father son combo from a long time. Though they did few scenes together in previous movies, Acharya is going to have them for more run time. And the trailer itself shows that they will have more scenes together. Acharya’s trailer is misleading in some sense and so the news came out that the team is planning for another trailer release.

As per the latest info Acharya makers are planning to cut another trailer and to release in the third week of April. The energy and punch is missing in the released trailer. So makers are trying to add few interesting elements to create some hype before the release. There are chances that new trailer will release in the pre release event. It is heard that third single is also likely to release very soon.

RRR area wise Box office profit and loss analysis

0

After a stupendous start at the box office, RRR’s victory run has slowed down. The movie, predictably is seeing lower occupancies now. This can also be attributed to Vijay’s Beast and Yash’s much-awaited KGF: 2 which will hit the screens tomorrow. RRR area wise reports are a bag of mixed results for the makers.

RRR is struggling at the box office at the moment and the numbers are pretty minimal now. Coming to RRR area wise reports, it’s a blockbuster success in Nizam and even overseas. It is a profitable venture for all parties involved in these regions.

In Andhra Pradesh, this Jr NTR and Ram Charan multistarrer is a profitable venture in all the A Centers. At B&Ccenters, the film has ended up with 10% – 20% losses in most of the areas. Coming to Karnataka, RRR is a loss venture while it has just touched the breakeven mark in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, RRR has suffered a 15% loss in Kerala.

Coming to the much anticipated Hindi market, where the makers went for their own release, the numbers are not as expected. Especially considering the budget and the pre-release offers, the film should have collected Rs 300Cr net but the film still has not crossed the Rs 250Cr mark yet.

Overall RRR is a decent success at box office but did not meet the expectations, especially if we see RRR area wise numbers. The film should have collected bigger figures considering the starcast and Rajamouli brand that stood behind it.

Acharya trailer is misleading fans and audience

0

Started as Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya turned into Chiru and Ram Charan’s Acharya as Ram charan is playing a guest role in the movie. But after the trailer release netizens felt that Charan’s role is equal to or even more than Chiru’s role in Acharya.

Acharya trailer has released yesterday and receiving mixed responses from the audience. The main thing audience and fans are feeling now is trailer is projecting Charan as the main lead and Chiranjeevi as the supporting lead. The movie launched as chiru’s film. But the trailer cut is completely misleading the audience.

The trailer started with Charan’s voice over and shown him as a young cool lad who feels responsible for his village. Then Chiru makes his entry as Acharya who comes to charan’s village in his absence. The director in the trailer also revealed that Chiru and Charan will have a flashback episode in which they work together as Comrades. Even the action scenes and dances are equally shared among the father son duo in the trailer. So let’s see whether the trailer misleads or prepare audience well. Acharya is all set to release on 29th April, 2022.

Will Vijay’s stardom save the Beast buyers now?

0

Kollywood superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast is released today. The openings are massive as fans are waiting for this action thriller from long time. The trailer also boosted the fan’s energy and created much hype.

Director Nelson Dilip kumar is only two films old. Kolamavu Kokila with Nayanatara and Doctor with Siva Karthikeyan are successful films that helped him to get a chance to work with Vijay. But Beast opened with mixed talk and director is the one few of the fans are blaming on. So now Vijay’s stardom is the only thing that should help Beast team.

Vijay’s Beast sold at higher prices and the film is registering terrific opening in all territories. But the film opens with Mixed talk and KGF2 is releasing tomorrow. So now the responsibility is on Vijay’s shoulders to pull this at box office. A long weekend with holidays and Vijay’s successful form are the positive points for the buyers. Let’s see if Vijay can make this a decent buy for buyers or not.

Dil Raju is killing the audience’s interest towards movies, say netizens

0

Dil Raju is a big enough name in Tollywood and yields a strong control of the Nizam region as a distributor. He has been a strong force behind a number of Tollywood biggies for close to the last two decades. In fact, if he is not involved with a big-ticket film as a producer, the chances are high of him being involved in the distribution of the same film.

This happened in the case of SS Rajamouli’s RRR and now with Vijay’s Beast. While this is a good business strategy, there is something that is now baffling film lovers and netizens a lot.

Of late, Dil Raju is keeping the high prices in Nizam, and especially for all big movies, he is applying for a ticket hike. This happened even in case of Vijay’s Beast, which despite being a dubbed film, got a massive hike in Telangana. Interestingly, the ticket price in Hyderabad is higher than in Tamil Nadu.

Something similar is happening in case of KGF:Chapter 2. The ticket prices for this Yash starrer have been set in the range of RRR. The netizens have lashed out at the ace producer for this movie as it is killing the footfalls as well as audience interest in movies

Beast movie review: Not as ferocious as expected

0

Movie: Beast
Rating: 2.25/5
Cast: Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Yogi Babu, Selvaraghavan, Redin Kingsley
Director: Nelson Dileepkumar
Produced By: Sun Pictures
Release Date: April 13th, 2022

After multiple delays and troubles, Vijay’s Beast finally hit the screens today in what can be termed as one of the biggest Kollywood releases ever. The advance booking and the hype around the movie have been quite surreal and the fans are eager to catch Thalapathy on-screen after more than a year. Beast’s trailer and the two songs have evoked terrific response and have further heightened expectations. But, does the movie have enough to engage the audience for more than 2:30 hours? Let’s find out

Story: Beast is a story of an attempted hijack of a mall with hundreds of visitors inside. The terrorists hijack the mall with a demand of the release of their leader Umar Farooq who was captured by RAW agent, Vijay Raghavan (Vijay). Unfortunately for the terrorists, Vijay Raghavan is present in the mall at the time of the hijack of the East Coast Mall. And we all can surely guess what happens through the next couple of hours.

Performances: Vijay is the biggest USP of the film. Beast is entirely his movie to shoulder and he does a fair enough job as a daring RAW agent. His screen presence is indeed impressive and he looks fit and sharp and plays the role of sharp and smart soldier quite convincingly. Pooja Hegde is a supporting character just like Yogi Babu and others and her role is limited only to Arabic Kuthu. Director Selvaraghavan as the government’s negotiator with terrorists is quite a revelation and does a decent job. However, what’s the need of a negotiator when there’s a Beast unleashed inside the mall is a question many might raise.

Analysis: Beast is an age-old concept and there is no way to add any depth or layers to the stories of the characters. It is purely aimed at action lovers and Thalapathy fans. Despite the film being a Vijay starrer, there was some requirement for solid writing and screenplay. Some scenes are outright silly while many are quite over the top and make the movie look slightly caricaturish. Apart from Vijay, no other character is well established. This is why the audience might not empathize with them despite the characters being in grave danger.

Plus Points:

  • Vijay
  • Few Comedy Scenes
  • Songs

Minus Points:

  • Weak villains
  • Unconvincing action sequences
  • Runtime

Verdict: Beast promises to be an exciting action thriller on paper. However, the execution falls flat in many places with action sequences looking slightly over the top even for a Vijay film. The movie is strictly for Thalapathy fans and action lovers and had it been for better writing and crisp editing, it would have been everyone’s cup of tea.

Varun Tej Responds To Ghani’s Failure At The Box Office

0

Varun Tej’s Ghani was released in theatres on 8th April and despite the decent promotions around the film, it performed poorly at the box office. The movie managed to collect only 4 crores in shares on its opening weekend. Ghani was shot on a budget of 40 crores which means it will end up as a disaster.

The man himself, VarunTej, has finally responded to the failure at the box office. He took to Instagram to share a long post regarding Ghani. This is what the actor had to say, “I feel extremely humbled by all the love and affection you have showered upon me all these years.”

“I thank each and everyone who was involved in the making of Ghani. We worked with real passion and hard work to deliver a good film to you. Somehow the ideation didn’t translate as we thought it would.”

“I will learn from this, and will continue to work harder” he added.

Ram Charan And Chiranjeevi’s Acharya Trailer Out Now: Misses The Koratala Siva Touch

0

Ram Charan and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited mega starrer Acharya’s trailer is finally out now and the verdict is, disappointing. The trailer that also starred Sonu Sood and other important characters failed to pack a punch.

This is not to say that there were no positives in the trailer. The visuals were absolutely breathtaking, coupled with some gorgeous set pieces. The dance sequence between the father-son duo will surely be a feast for the Mega fans.

But as a whole, the trailer lacked the much-needed Koratala Siva touch. From the looks of it, Siva has tried to make the film on a grand level and in the process has fallen short in the other aspects. People also complained that Ram Charan was shown as the main hero despite Chiranjeevi being the main hero.

One more negative aspect of the trailer is that it tells the audience most of the story. Apart from the two main leads, Acharya also stars Pooja Hegde, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sonu Sood. Ram Charan has produced the film and Mani Sharma is the music director of the film.
