With all the biggies conquering the box office, the release of new movies became a Herculean task. With the movies going pan – India, the number game has changed at the box office. So the buyers and distributors are sharpening their number knowledge and planning the movies accordingly. The next litmus test is for Megastar’s Acharya.

Acharya is all set to release on 29th April. The movie has immense craze as Koratala is joining hands with Megastar for the first time. And another USP is Ram Charan joining the film. Chiranjeevi- Ramcharan- Koratala Siva – Manisarma music is one of the biggest combinations in Telugu cinema.

But the film has failed to create the buzz with promotional content. The Lahe Lahe song was hit but it got released a long back. Later the two singles Nellambari and Sanaa Kashtam didn’t do well with the listeners. Apart from that the trailer that released last week failed to create the hype.

After RRR and KGF2’s box office storm Acharya is releasing. The team has already dropped pan india release plans. And now even in Telugu it may tough to grab the family audience to the theatres. Family audience already saw the two biggies. It is not easy to bring them back to the theatres especially with the hiked ticket prices. The distributors are already started negotiating the prices. But the Makers are not interested to reduce the prices. Trade analysts are finding difficult to predict the numbers for Acharya.

When anyone usually talks about Pan-Indian cinema, everyone thinks that the film will be made on massive budgets and outrageous remunerations for the main leads. The usual budgets for such movies are 200 Cr, 300 Cr, 400 Cr, and even 500+Cr.

Even with such humungous budgets, most Pan-Indian films fail to create an impact on the big screen. After watching the film, people are left to wonder where all that money was spent on. But Prashanth Neel has completely redefined the Pan-India cinema brand with the KGF series.

KGF Chapter 1 was shot on a budget of 80 crores, which at the time was the highest budget spent on a Kannada film. But when we compare this to the enormous budgets spent on most films, it is barely anything. The film instantly recovered its money spent and was a box office sensation.

Now with KGF Chapter 2, Prashant Neel has directed a magnum opus in merely 100 crores. The film will comfortably collect 10x of the money spent in its full time. Prashanth is the brand ambassador for efficiently making a Pan-Indian film.

Prashanth Neel and Rocking star Yash’s KGF turned out to be a classic. There are few things about KGF that always astonishes. Both the director and hero along with crew of KGF had put their blood in the making. While promoting KGF2 there are lot of things that are unveiling about KGF.

In an interview with Suma, Yash and Prashanth shared a lot of memories about KGF. Suma complimented prashanth for capturing the mother’s strength of going to any extent for her children in a single line. Immediately Prashanth gave credits to Yash saying that he is the one that came up with that line.

Yash explained the back story for that scene. He says that ”when prashanth came up with that scene where mother is trying to get a bun for her child, we thought that it should end with a powerful dialogue.”

He went on sharing his family incident that made him got the idea. Yash told that his wife yelled at him like anything for keeping his mobile on the bed which disturbed their kids sleep. He also told that it keeps running in his mind that mother will do anything to protect her children. So that’s how the powerful line came up. Interesting isn’t it?

Jr.NTR talked about the much talked about pre-climax scene of RRR movie where he carries Ram Charan on his shoulders. The scene came out very well with the VFX work and the action stunts looking so real. The entire team banked on this scene which paved the way for the climax episode. NTR wholly carried Ram Charan in this scene where the latter legs get hurt due to the torture by the British.

NTR said, “It was very difficult to pull off that scene. Bheem is a giant, but Tarak is no giant… I had to keep running like that for six or seven hours a day. It was a tough sequence to pull off. But Rajamouli demanded us to be very fit and that helped in pulling off a scene like that.” It was very tough to carry someone on the shoulders for so long. But NTR tried so hard making it to look so real. Fans of both heroes thrilled to see such a scene.

On the other hand, the film has already made 1000 crores in the global box-office as claimed by the makers. Both NTR and Ram Charan are the only heroes after Aamir Khan and Prabhas to achieve this feat. Aamir Khan and Prabhas achieved this feat with Dangal and Bahubali series.

Yash’s much-awaited pan-India action thriller KGF: Chapter 2 has finally made its way to the screens worldwide. Prashanth Neel and Yash have promised that this film will have twice the thrills and some mind-blowing action sequences that will certainly stand up to the audience’s expectations. While there is no doubt that Prashanth Neel is a master of elevations and developing jaw-dropping action sequences, it needs to be seen if the film indeed has enough ammo to capture the audience’s applause.

Story: Rocky (Yash) has now become the undisputed king of the KGF after killing Garuda. He yields unimaginable power and wealth and is on his way to fulfilling the promise made to his mother. However, there are obstacles in his way in the form of Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) who also has eyes on the fortune of gold. While Rocky is battling Adheera on one side, he is faced with another obstacle- The Prime Minister of India, Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon). Will Rocky be able to battle the muscle power of Adheera and the political power of Ramika? That’s what the story follows.

Performances: Yash is the soul of the movie and breathes life into the character of Rocky. He looks dashing and has a terrific screen presence and as expected is truly amazing in the action sequences. Sanjay Dutt’s look is truly menacing and he does a fine job as Adheera. However, weak writing and some illogical sequences let his character arc down. There was a lot of potential in his character which was ignored may be in order to further elevate Rocky. Raveena Tandon is another great addition to the cast and plays the role of a shrewd and indomitable Prime Minister to perfection. Others in the cast such as Prakash Raj, Srinidhi Shetty, Rao Ramesh are ok and play their characters decently. It is the technical department that has outshined many and the production values and cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda are indeed world-class. Special mention must go to Ravi Basrur for his thundering score which adds great depth to the proceedings.

Analysis: KGF: Chapter 2 is an out-and-out action film and the audience will get very little time to dvelve into the story. There are elevations and action blocks designed to keep the viewers hooked and they do a decent job. However, a movie is only as good as its story and that’s where the film lacks. The screenplay in certain parts is slightly confusing and the viewers will have to really pay attention in order to keep up with the film. Apart from Yash and Raveena Tandon, the other characters have not been etched out well enough hence the core conflict looks slightly dull. But Prashanth Neel makes up for that with some smartly placed high octane sequences.

If you are an action lover, you’ll be completely satisfied and will walk back engulfed by the Rocky mania.
