Major And Vikram Telugu 1st Day Box Office Collections

Adivi Sesh’s Major and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram released in theatres on June 3rd and have both opened to record-breaking collections.

Major has been lapped up by audiences thanks to the brilliant portrayal of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Vikram definitely steals the show however with the help of Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and an outstanding cameo from Suriya.

Coming to the box office collections of Major, it collected 4 crores in shares on the opening day. The film has collected over 6+crores in shares worldwide for the Telugu version alone. Major also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, and Prakash Raj in important roles. Sashi Kiran Tikka is the director and Mahesh Babu is the producer.

Kamal Haasan’s Vikram has collected 1.95 crores in shares for the Telugu version. The collections in Tamil are outstanding as well. Lokesh Kanagaraj is the writer as well as the director of Vikram. RKFI and U.Stalin have jointly produced the film.

Casting in such a movie is a boon to anyone. NTR and Ram Charan got that chance and the fans are on cloud nine before the movie’s release. NTR fans showed their love through flying banner. Ram Charan fans through a video in New York’s Time Square. All is well till the movie’s release.

But after the release NTR fans are disappointed with the role. NTR killed the performance in the given role. But as per his fans S S Rajamouli failed to balance the roles of the two biggest stars of Telugu Cinema. Especially in the climax, Ram Charan’s elevation is the main highlight of the film. So Ram Charan appeared to be the hero of the film for the outsiders. This makes NTR fans unhappy. They even showed their disappointment on S S Rajamouli in social media.

Just now they are coming out of all these things. They are happy with the new film announcements on NTR’s birthday. But with the Re release of RRR as encoRRRe in USA, NTR fans are back to their bad phase. Most of the American audience are praising only Ramcharan’s performance in the movie. NTR fans are not feeling good as Ram Charan is walking away with all the credit though both the heroes worked equally hard.

Major is getting applause from all parts of the country. Major is a film based on the life of Major Sandeep UnniKrishnan who fought fiercely in 26/11 Mumbai attack. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, and it is dubbed in Malayalam as well. It also features Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma.

The late Major’s father K Unnikrishnan, and mother Dhanalakshmi Unnikrishnan watched the film. K Unnikrishnan emotionally said “It’s such a good reflection of what we have seen and suffered. Gopichand’s Pakka commercial is gearing up for 1st July release. The court room action comedy entertainer is directed by Maruthi under UV Creations and GA2 pictures. The team has arranged a press meet yesterday in Hyderabad Daspalla’s convention.

Talking to the press, Top producer Allu Arvind made some interesting comments on the ticket prices and movie promotions. He opined that Industry is learning some new lessons now. The master producer said that Ticket rates should be reduced and movies should release late on OTT platforms.

He also expressed that cinema is meant to be experienced in theatres. The OTT culture is stopping the audience to step out for theatres. Now bringing the audience to theatres has become a tedious task. Heroes and Heroines should take the responsibility and promote their film to attract audience.

F3 was released in theatres on 27th May and opened to extraordinary collections on the opening weekend. But due to the largely negative talk around the comedy of the film, it dropped significantly in the coming days.

F3 saw a massive drop in collections on the weekdays and showed minimal signs of a pickup. It has also not been able to penetrate the overseas market.

But it is in Nizam, where the movie dropped by a huge margin after the opening weekend. The producer of Dil Raju, who is also the ace distributor in Nizam expected a bountiful revenue in the region. But the movie has failed to meet expectations.

Dil Raju promoted F3 by telling the audiences of Nizam that the film will be releasing at minimal ticket prices. But this was definitely not the case as the ticket prices were around 295 Rs. The audiences felt cheated by Dil Raju and thereby, F3 has seen a huge drop in Nizam. This strategy of Dil Raju seems to have crashed to the ground.

AP Government releases a GO on online ticket booking

AP Government has issued orders on the online ticket booking in the state. The ticket pricing issue has been going on for more than a year and the government had earlier last year announced its decision to develop an online ticketing portal for the sale of all movie tickets.

The decision was announced through a G.O released last year by the Home Department of the government. The ticketing portal will be managed by AP State Film, Television, and Theatre Development Corporation.

As per the fresh G.O issued by AP Government, the services charges on the tickets must not exceed 2%. The government has ordered all the theatres in the state to coordinate with AP State Film, Television, and Theatre Development Corporation for the implementation of this new system. Online ticket booking has been made mandatory across the state and every theatre must comply to these new norms.

Massive theatrical business for Ram’s The Warrior

Energetic Star Ram’s upcoming action drama The Warrior has started making the right noise in the trade circles. The film is slated for a release on July 14th and the pre-release business is going on in full swing giving the producers great deals all over.

Theatrical rights for Ceeded have fetched the makers Rs 6 crores while the Andhra region has been sold for a massive Rs 18 crores. Nizam region has been acquired in the range of Rs 12-13 crores. The Telugu version rights will be in the range of Rs 40 crores making it the best theatrical business in Ram’s career.

Tamil director Lingusamy is directing this movie which is reportedly being made on a faction backdrop. While Lingusamy hasn’t directed any straight Telugu film, the dubbed versions of his films such as Pandemkodi, Run, and Awara were massive hits in Telugu.

Kirthi Shetty, who made an impressive debut with Uppena last year is paired opposite Ram in this film. The Warrior is being made on a grand scale and lavish budget and Srinivasa Chitturi is producing this film. The film is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is out in Amazon prime video for rent from yesterday. In fact this announcement came as a surprise to fans. Some of the fans are shocked as they didn’t expect this move from the team when the movie is doing good at theatres. Usually a film will stream on OTT after it’s theatrical run. But SVP came to OTT immediately after it’s third week though it is getting good foot falls in some centres.

With early OTT release of Sarkaru vaari paata, Mahesh fans are not happy. Some of the fans started blaming the producers. Fans are unhappy with the makers right from the beginning of the film. They didn’t get the timely updates before the release. Few fans called the producers at that time expressing their disappointment. Producer convinced them saying they are doing the right thing to the movie and fans will be satisfied after the release.
