RRR shows sensational reach in international markets, Now re-releasing on UK

After the sensational response it received in the US on its re-release, RRR will now hit the screens once again in the UK. This action epic action-drama will now release in UK on July 3rd. The massive international demand for the movie and its humungous OTT success paved way for its re-released in the USA on 01st June and it is still running in a few selected screens. 

Now with a UK re-release, RRR has indeed stamped its position as the most successful Indian film of the year. Ever since the release on 1st June, the US audience have been showering countless praises on the film. RRR has been trending on Twitter thanks to the thousands of Americans tweeting in appreciation of the film.

SS Rajamouli’s action drama RRR is creating benchmarks on OTT as well. In its first week of release on Netflix, it was watched for a whopping 18,360,000 hours on Netflix from 23rd May to 29th May. It has now completed 3 weeks as the top non-English film on Netflix.

RRR managed to cross the Rs. 1000 cr mark at the worldwide box office in 16 days. This is SS Rajamouli’s second film to achieve this feat. Only 4 Indian films have crossed the 1000Cr gross mark worldwide. After Baahubali2, Dangal, and RRR, KGF 2 became the latest film to enter this exclusive club.

అదే సమయంలో మేము G.O ధరలతో వెళ్తున్నామని, దయచేసి మా సినిమాని చూడండి అని చెప్పడం ద్వారా దిల్ రాజు కొత్త ప్రచార అజెండాను ప్రారంభించాడు. దాన్నే మరి కొన్ని సినిమాలకు ఆయా చిత్ర బృందం ప్రచారం చేసుకోవడం ప్రారంభించాయి.అయితే దీన్ని సాకుగా చూపిస్తూ ఆ రోజు జగన్ చేసిన పనిని రామ్ గోపాల్ వర్మ తో పాటు కొంత మంది కుహానా మేధావులు మద్దతు ఇవ్వడం మొదలు పెట్టారు.అయితే వాదనలో ఏ మాత్రం తర్కం కానీ, హెతు భద్ధత కానీ లేవనే చెప్పాలి. ఎందుకంటే పాత. జీఓ ప్రకారం రేట్లు అనగా 5,10,20 రూపాయలకు టికెట్ లు అమ్మితే థియేటర్ ల యాజమాన్యానికి ఏ మాత్రం గిట్టుబాటు అవదు.కనీసం ఖర్చులను కూడా వారు తిరిగి పొందలేరు. వకీల్ సాబ్ సమయంలో AP ప్రభుత్వం ఉద్దేశపూర్వకంగా చేసిన పని వల్ల ఆ సమయంలో పరిశ్రమ చాలా నష్టపోయింది.

మరో ముఖ్యమైన విషయం ఏంటంటే కొత్తగా వచ్చిన ఈ టికెట్ రేట్ల వివాదం తెలంగాణ లో కానీ ఆంధ్రలో కాదు.మార్చిలో కొత్త జీఓ వచ్చినప్పటి ఉంచి ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ లో టికెట్ రేట్ల మీద ఎవరూ కంప్లైంట్ లు ఇవ్వటం జరగలేదు. అవసరం అయిన సినిమాలకు టికెట్ రేట్లు ప్రభుత్వ అనుమతితో పెంచుకుంటున్నారు. ఎటొచ్చీ సమస్య అంతా తెలంగాణలోనే, అత్యవసర పరిస్థితుల్లో వాడుకునే వెసులుబాటు కలిగిస్తూ ప్రభుత్వం అనుమతిస్తే ఆ రేట్లనే రెగ్యులర్ ధరలుగా నియమించి మళ్ళీ వాటి పై యాభై లేదా వంద రూపాయలు పెంచుకోవాలనే అత్యాశకు పోతున్నారు. ఆ ప్రయత్నం కొన్ని రొటీన్ బిగ్ సినిమాలకు, మరియు కొన్ని మీడియం బడ్జెట్ సినిమాలు దెబ్బ తినడంతో మళ్ళీ తక్కువ రేట్లకే సినిమా అంటూ కొత్త ప్రచారం మొదలు పెట్టారు. కనుక ఈ వివాదం అంతా తెలంగాణ లోనే కాబట్టి సో కాల్డ్ మేధావులు ఈ వంకతో జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి గారిని ఈ విషయంలో వెనకేసుకు రావడం మానుకుంటే మంచిది.

ఒకప్పుడు మన సినిమాలో హిందీ సినిమాలకి ఇరు భాషల మార్కెట్ కి చాలా తేడా ఉండేది. అయితే గత కొద్ది సంవత్సరాలుగా ఈ పరిస్థితిలోమార్పు వచ్చింది. బాహుబలి లాంటి సినిమాల వల్ల కావచ్చు, ఓటిటి మరియు పెరుగుతున్న సోషల్ మీడియా ప్రభావం వల్ల కావచ్చు. అన్ని భాషల సినిమాలను ప్రేక్షకులు వీక్షించగలుగుతున్నారు. సరైన విధంగా సినిమా ప్రమోట్ చేసి రిలీజ్ చేసుకోగలిగితే హిందీ ప్రేక్షకులు మన సినిమాలను చూడటానికి ధియేటర్ లకు వస్తారు అని బాహుబలి సీరీస్, పుష్ప, ఆర్ ఆర్ ఆర్ వంటి సినిమాలు రుజువు చేశాయి. మొన్న విడుదలైన మేజర్ చిత్రం కూడా హిందీలో 15 కోట్ల గ్రాస్ వరకూ వసూలు చేసింది.

ఈ విషయం మీదే మాట్లాడుతూ కరణ్ జోహార్ ఇలా అన్నాడు. “సౌత్ మూవీ మేకర్స్ కి వాళ్ళ మీద వాళ్ళు చేసే సినిమాల మీద గట్టి నమ్మకం ఉంది. వాళ్ళు ఏ ప్రయత్నం చేసినా పూర్తి విశ్వాసంతో చేస్తారు. మా దగ్గర (బాలీవుడ్)లేనిది అదే. ఒకటి రెండు బయోపిక్ లు హిట్ అవగానే అందరం బయోపిక్ లు తీయడానికి బయలుదేరుతాం. అలాగే ఈ మధ్య కొత్తగా సౌత్ సినిమాలకు దగ్గరగా సినిమా తీయడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నాం. మా బలాల గురించి బలహీనతల గురించి సరిగ్గా విశ్లేషణ చేసుకోకుండా అన్ని చోట్లా మేమే ఉండాలి అని చూస్తుంటాం”అని ఆయన అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.కరణ్ జోహార్ చెప్పిన మాటల్లో వాస్తవం లేదు. అయితే ఇది కేవలం ప్రశంసగా తీసుకుంటే మంచిది. అలా కాకుండా మనం ఏ సినిమా తీస్తే అది జనం చూస్తారు అని అతి నమ్మకంతో ఉంటే మొదటికే మోసం వస్తుంది.
