Bringing the action to this Dussehra season is Nagarjuna’s much-awaited action thriller ‘The Ghost’. The film has already made a great noise in Tollywood circles for its unique picturizations and exciting stunt choreography. Can the film stand up to the buzz? Will Nagarjuna give a tough fight to Chiranjeevi’s Godfather? Let’s find out

Story: Vikram (Nagarjuna) is an Interpol officer with a great skill set and experience making him one of the best in line. He works along with his girlfriend Priya (Sonal Chauhan) on various cases. While things are going normal, one fine day he receives a call from Anu (Gul Panag) requesting his help to protect her daughter Aditi (Anikha Surendran). How is Vikram related to Anu and Aditi and what kind of danger are they in? This is what the plot follows.

Performances:  Looks wise, Nagarjuna seldom disappoints, and here as well he looks quite lean and stylish in the role of an Interpol officer. Through this movie, he has experimented with heavy-duty action sequences and credit must be given to him for carrying them out effectively. Not much can be said about Sonal Chauhan as she is yet again cast in a flower pot role. Gul Panag and others have limited scope as the movie majorly focuses on the action and less on acting.

Analysis: The Ghost is a treat for action lovers. However, even to fit action convincingly, there is a requirement of a solid screenplay which this film fails to deliver. There are moments when you’ll feel the movie to be a montage of action sequences. The story and emotional connect with the film is missing here and a bit more focus on writing could have done wonders to the film.

Verdict: 

The Ghost gave a great impression when the trailers and first look were released. Sadly, the fun of the movie ends there and there is nothing much to explore beyond the fight scenes. The movie is made for action lovers and if the blasts, chases, blood, and combat don’t excite you, then you can give it a miss.

Salman Khan is the biggest superstar of Bollywood and though he has many Blockbusters to his name and enjoys a huge fan base, he faced criticism and trolls for his over-the-top stunts in his movies in the past. Now latest, he’s getting trolls again for his role in the Telugu movie God Father in which he played a special guest role.

God Father movie was released today amongst a milder hype, but the talk from the earlier shows and morning shows is very encouraging. The film is expected to collect amount good amount of numbers at the Box Office.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan who appears in a special guest role in the movie is getting heavy trolls for his role in the movie. Salman plays the role that Prithviraj Sukumaran played in the original who also happens to be the director of the film. It’s a kind of henchman role that fights on behalf of the main hero in the movie.

Though the movie God Father received a good response from the audience, most of the audience feel that Salman khan is the biggest minus of the film, the scenes of his look very silly and disturb the flow of the movie. And according to social media users and a few cinephiles, Choosing Salman khan is the costliest mistake that the God Father team has done.

Chiranjeevi’s political action thriller, Godfather, also starring Salman Khan and Nayanthara, hit the screens today as a Vijayadasami special. The film, which is a remake of the Malayalam hit Lucifer that had Mohanlal in the titular character, is directed by Mohan Raja.

The star cast includes Puri Jagannadh, Satyadev Kancharana, Murali Sharma, Sunil, Brahmaji, Samuthirakani, Tanya Ravichandran, Gangavva, and Prabhu Deva in a special dance number. Music for the film is by Thaman S, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh. The film has been bankrolled by Ram Charan, RB Choudary, and NV Prasad.

సౌత్ ఇండియన్ లెజెండరీ డైరెక్టర్ మణిరత్నం తెరకెక్కిన పొన్నియిన్ సెల్వన్ చిత్రం సెప్టెంబర్ 30 న థియేటర్లలో విడుదలైన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. బాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ వద్ద భారీ ఓపెనింగ్స్ సాధించిన ఈ చిత్రం అంతటితో ఆగిపోయే సంకేతాలు ఎక్కడా కనిపించడం లేదు. ఇప్పటికే ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా 200 కోట్ల గ్రాస్ మార్క్‌ను దాట 250 కోట్ల మార్కు వైపు విజయవంతంగా దూసుకుపోతోంది.

ఇక తమిళనాడులో అయితే కేవలం 5 రోజుల్లోనే ఈ సినిమా 100 కోట్లు దాటేసి మరో అద్భుతమైన రికార్డ్ నెలకొల్పింది. తమిళ సినిమా చరిత్రలో ఇంతకు ముందెన్నడూ లేని విధంగా ఈ చిత్రం తొలి వారంలో130 కోట్ల గ్రాస్ ను వసూలు చేసే దిశగా పయనిస్తుంది.ఎంత హైప్ తో వచ్చినా.. ఈ రోజుల్లో సినిమాలు తొలి మూడు రోజుల్లో బాగా వసూళ్లు సాధించి తరువాత నెమ్మదించడం మాములుగా జరిగేదే.

కానీ పొన్నియిన్ సెల్వన్ మాత్రం సాధారణ వారం రోజులలో కూడా భారీ కలెక్షనను రాబడుతూ చరిత్ర సృష్టిస్తోంది. మణిరత్నం రూపొందించిన ఏ చిత్రం కూడా ఇంతకి మునుపెన్నడూ ఇంతటి భారీ విజయం సాధించలేదు. ఆయన ఇంతకు ముందు తెరకెక్కించిన క్లాసిక్ సినిమాకు ఇప్పటికీ ప్రజల హృదయాల్లో నిలిచి ఉన్నాయనేది వాస్తవం. ఐతే ఇటీవలి కాలంలో మాత్రం బాక్స్ ఆఫీసు వద్ద ఆయన సినిమాల బాగాలేదనేది మాత్రం ఏమంత బాగాలేదనే మాట కూడా నిజమే.

కాగా పొన్నియిన్ సెల్వన్ వీక్ డేస్ లో రాబట్టిన కలెక్షన్లు ఇతర స్టార్ హీరోల తొలి రోజు కలెక్షన్ల స్థాయిలో ఉండటం విశేషం. మంగళవారం ఒక్క రోజే ఈ చిత్రం తమిళనాడులో ఏకంగా 20 కోట్లకు పైగా వసూలు చేయడం ట్రేడ్ విశ్లేషకులను ఆశ్చర్యపరిచింది.

ఈ క్రమంలో పొన్నియిన్ సెల్వన్ ఆల్ టైమ్ బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ దిశగా పయనిస్తుంది. ఈ చిత్రానికి కొందరు ప్రేక్షకుల నుండి మిశ్రమ స్పందన లభిస్తున్నప్పటికీ, మిగతా ప్రేక్షకుల పై మాత్రం మణిరత్నం మాయాజాలం బాగా పని చేస్తోంది. ఓవర్సీస్‌లో కూడా ఈ చిత్రం కలెక్షన్లు రోజురోజుకూ పెరుగుతున్నాయి.

Bellamkonda Ganesh has got great padding for his debut project- Swathimuthyam. His father and senior producer Bellamkonda Suresh has left no stone unturned to ensure his younger son gets the best possible debut. But, the real test is passed when the audience gives thumbs up. Does Swathimuthyam have enough to sustain the force of Godfather on one side and The Ghost on the other? Let’s find out.

Story: Balamurali Krishna (Bellamkonda Ganesh) is a simple young man with routine life. His parents decide to get him married and fix his match with Bhagyalakshmi (Varsha Bollamma). While everything is going smooth and the young couple is all excited for their wedding, all hell breaks loose with an unexpected twist in the form of surrogacy. Can Bala come out of this blow? How he goes about setting things right is what the movie follows.

Performances:  Ganesh has chosen a good movie for his debut and he does a decent job as the boy next door. While he looks slightly stoic in some scenes, he manages just well throughout the movie. Varsha Bollamma has got a meaty role and is improving with every movie. Her expressions and measured performance are one of the biggest attractions of the film. The rest of the cast of Vennela Kishore, Rao Ramesh, and Naresh are dependable as ever. Rao Ramesh in particular is hilarious delivering superb one-liners and being equally great in emotional moments. Mahati Swara Sagar’s BGM is another big plus and adds great value to the proceedings.

Analysis: Swathimuthyam is a fun comedy entertainer with a generous dose of emotions. Credit goes to Lakshman Krishna- the director for handling the issue of surrogacy in a mature way. The film definitely has got a great potential to hold strong for the festive season and with good production values and pleasing visuals, it’s a good end product made by a young cast and crew.

Bellamkonda Ganesh has got a good launch pad and with good word of mouth the movie has all that it takes to do well despite slight glitches.

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan was released in theatres on 30th September and is showing no signs of stopping. It has already crossed the 200 crore mark globally and is inching comfortably towards the 250 crore mark.

But another excellent record is that the film has crossed 100 crores in Tamil Nadu in just 5 days. This has never been done before in the history of Tamil cinema and the film is pacing fastly towards a 130+ crores weekend.

Godfather is a crucial movie for Megastar Chiranjeevi. After the debacle of Acharya, he has pinned a lot of hopes on this political drama. As admitted by Chiranjeevi during promotions, Godfather is a more commercialized version of Mohanlal’s Malayalam Blockbuster ‘Lucifer’. The presence of Salman Khan in an extended cameo and promotions up north are all ways to get back to success path. Can Chiranjeevi get back to winning ways with Godfather? Does the film have enough to pack a solid punch at the box office? Let’s check out

Story: The story starts after the death of sitting CM PKR from the Jana Jagruthi Party. This incident gives rise to wicked political aspirations and criminal activities from some. Amidst those taking advantage of the CM’s death is his own son-in-law Jaidev (Satyadev). This is when a mysterious man Brahma (Chiranjeevi) enters to clean up the mess in the system and within the family. Who is Brahma? What is his relationship with the CM and where was he all these years is what the movie unravels.

Performances:  Chiranjeevi has the responsibility of shouldering the entire movie on his shoulders. And he does it well yet again. As claimed by him, he certainly has increased the dose of masala in this version and with fights and extended monologues and warnings, fans will have a good time. However, for the lovers of Lucifer, it might be a tough pill to swallow. Satyadev has got a meaty role is a treat to watch on screen in a role filled with grey shades. His performance is a great asset to the movie and his scenes with Chiranjeevi are some of the highlights in this film. Nayanthara doesn’t have a steady role throughout the movie and appears and disappears at regular intervals. However, for the time she is on screen, her intensity and screen presence make it worthwhile and adds great value to the plot.

Analysis: Godfather is a political drama that is infused with some pacy moments and credits to Mohan Raja for the way he handled Chiranjeevi and his star image. While the big interval bangs, over-the-top fights and special songs have been intentionally pushed away for this remake, the mass audience will not feel their absence due to enough power-packed moments equally spread across the movie. This movie has done away with many characters from Mohanlal’s version but the crux remains the same.

Verdict:

The movie is ably shouldered by him and with good support from Satyadev and Nayanthara, it is certainly an enjoyable film with some flaws. While some changes from the original workout, some should have been left alone and Godfather would have been more engaging.

ఈ దసరా సందర్భంగా తెలుగు సినీ ప్రేక్షకులకు భారీ వినోదం అందించేందుకు మూడు సినిమాలు విడుదలయ్యాయి. అందులో మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి నటించిన తాజా చిత్రం గాడ్ ఫాదర్ ఒకటి. ఇంకో సినిమా కింగ్ నాగార్జున నటించిన ది ఘోస్ట్. ఈ రెండు అగ్ర హీరోల చిత్రాలతో పాటు ప్రముఖ నిర్మాత బెల్లంకొండ సురేష్ తనయుడు గణేష్ తొలిసారిగా వెండితెరకు పరిచయం చేస్తూ స్వాతి ముత్యం సినిమా కూడా విడుదల అయింది.

ఇక చిన్న సినిమా అయినా, ధైర్యం చేసిన స్వాతి ముత్యం నిర్మాతలు.. నిన్న రాత్రే తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో ప్రీమియర్ షోలు వేశారు. ఆ ప్రీమియర్ షోల నుండి ప్రేక్షకుల నుంచి చక్కని స్పందనను సొంతం చేసుకుంది. ఈ సినిమా హాయిగా నవ్వించే ఒక క్లీన్ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్ అని అంటున్నారు. అంతే కాక చాలా కాలం తర్వాత టాలీవుడ్ నుంచి వచ్చిన ఒక ఫుల్ లెంగ్త్ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్ అని కూడా అంటున్నారు.

ఇక ప్రవీణ్ సత్తారు దర్శకత్వంలో కింగ్ నాగార్జున నటించిన ది ఘోస్ట్ చిత్రం యావరేజ్ రిపోర్ట్‌లను తెచ్చుకుంది. కాగా మొదటి సగం అంచనాలను అందుకోలేక మిశ్రమ స్పందనను తెచ్చుకోగా.. రెండవ సగం మాత్రం ఏకగ్రీవంగా సానుకూల స్పందన వస్తోంది. ఈ చిత్రంలో యాక్షన్ ఎపిసోడ్స్ హైలైట్ గా చెప్తున్నారు. మొత్తానికి మధ్య కాలంలో నాగార్జునకు ఉపశమనం కలిగిస్తుందని అంటున్నారు.

ఇక ఈ రోజు విడుదలైన అన్ని చిత్రాల్లోకి ఎక్కువ క్రేజ్ తో వచ్చిన చిత్రం గాడ్ ఫాదర్. మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి ప్రధాన పాత్రలో నటించిన గాడ్ ఫాదర్‌ సినిమాకి ఏకగ్రీవంగా అద్భుతమైన సమీక్షలు వచ్చాయి. దర్శకుడు మోహన్ రాజా తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులకు అనుగుణంగా ఒరిజినల్ సినిమా లూసిఫర్‌ నుంచి గాడ్ ఫాదర్ కు సరైన మార్పులు చేసారని సినిమా చూసిన ప్రేక్షకులు అంటున్నారు. రీమేక్ సినిమాలు తెరకెక్కించడంలో మోహన్ రాజాకి ఒక ప్రత్యేకమైన శైలి ఉన్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే.

మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి నటించిన గాడ్‌ ఫాదర్ చిత్రం దసరా కానుకగా అక్టోబరు 5వ తేదీన ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రానుంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా చిత్ర బృందం ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలను వేగవంతం చేసింది. ఇందులో భాగంగా హీరో చిరంజీవి, దర్శకుడు మోహన్ రాజా తాజాగా విలేకరుల సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమలో రిపోర్టర్లు అడిగిన ప్రశ్నలకు చిత్ర బృందం సమాధానమిచ్చారు.

ఇక ఈ సినిమాలో రాజకీయ నేతలపై ఉన్న డైలాగుల గురించి అడగగా.. ఇందులో పొలిటికల్ లీడర్లపై ఎలాంటి సెటైర్లు వేయలేదని మెగాస్టార్ స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ సినిమా లూసిఫర్ రీమేక్‌ గా తెరకెక్కిందని, మాతృకలోని డైలాగుల ఆధారంగానే ఇందులోనూ రాసినట్లు ఆయన తెలిపారు. అయితే సినిమాలోని డైలాగులకు ఎవరైనా బుజాలు తడుముకుంటే తానేమీ చేయలేనని చిరంజీవి అన్నారు. “నేను రాజకీయం నుంచి దూరంగా ఉన్నాను. కానీ రాజకీయం నా నుంచి దూరం కాలేదు.” అనే డైలాగ్‌ను చిరంజీవి ఇటీవలే తన ట్విటర్‌లో పేర్కొన్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే.

గాడ్‌ ఫాదర్ అక్టోబరు 5న ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రానుంది. బాలీవుడ్ సూపర్ స్టార్ సల్మాన్ ఖాన్ ఒక ప్రత్యేక అతిథి పాత్రలో నటించారు. నయనతార ఈ సినిమాలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించారు. సత్యదేవ్ కూడా ముఖ్యమైన ప్రతినాయక పాత్రను చేశారు.

నిరవ్ షా సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌గా పనిచేస్తోన్న ఈ సినిమాలో అత్యుత్తమ సాంకేతిక చిత్ర బృందం పనిచేస్తోంది. తమన్ సంగీత సారథ్యం వహిస్తుండగా.. సురేశ్ సెల్వరాజన్ ఆర్ట్ డైరెక్టర్‌గా పనిచేస్తున్నారు. ఈ చిత్రాన్ని మెగా సూపర్ గుడ్ ఫిల్మ్స్ , కొణిదెల ప్రొడక్షన్స్ పతాకాలపై ఆర్బీ చౌదరి, ఎన్వీ ప్రసాద్, సురేఖ కొణిదెల నిర్మిస్తున్నారు.

రామ్ చరణ్ – మోహన్ రాజా కాంబినేషన్లో రానున్న ధ్రువ-2

తెలుగు చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలో మెగా పవర్ స్టార్ రామ్ చరణ్ కెరీర్ చాలా ఆసక్తికరంగా రూపుదిద్దుకుంది. తొలి చిత్రంతోనే బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ అందుకున్న చరణ్, రెండవ సినిమా మగధీరతో ఏకంగా ఇండస్ట్రీ హిట్ సాధించారు. ఆ తరువాత అట్టర్ డిజాస్టర్‌లతో పాటు సూపర్ హిట్ చిత్రాలను కూడా అందుకున్నారు. అయితే తొలి చిత్రంతోనే స్టార్ గా అవతరించిన చరణ్ తన నటన విషయంలో మాత్రం గతంలో ట్రోల్ చేయబడ్డారు. అయితే తరువాత మాత్రం సరైన సినిమాలను ఎంచుకుని నటనకు కూడా ప్రశంసలు అందుకున్నారు.

అయితే రామ్ చరణ్ స్క్రిప్ట్ ఎంపిక మరియు నటనలో మార్పు రావడంలో ఒక సినిమా ప్రధాన పాత్ర పోషించింది అని చెప్పడంలో ఎలాంటి సందేహం లేదు. ఆ సినిమానే ధృవ.. 2016 లో వచ్చిన ఈ చిత్రం అటు మెగా అభిమానులతో పాటు ఇతర తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకుల హృదయాలను కూడా గెలుచుకుంది. ధృవ చిత్రంలో రామ్ చరణ్ తనలోని ఒక పూర్తి భిన్నమైన కోణాన్ని చూపించారు. అంతే కాకుండా పాత్ర కోసం ఎంతో కష్టపడి దేహ దారుఢ్యాన్ని కూడా ప్రదర్శించారు.

తమిళ భాషలో వచ్చిన తని ఒరువన్ సినిమాకి రీమేక్ గా తెరకెక్కిన ధృవ చిత్రానికి సురేందర్ రెడ్డి దర్శకత్వం వహించారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆ చిత్రానికి సీక్వెల్ రాబోతుంది. అయితే ఈ సీక్వెల్ కు సురేందర్ రెడ్డి కాకుండా ఒరిజినల్ ను తీసిన దర్శకుడు మోహన్ రాజా నేతృత్వం వహిస్తారని తెలుస్తోంది.

మోహన్ రాజా దర్శకత్వంలో మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి నటించిన గాడ్ ఫాదర్ సినిమా ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా రేపు విడుదల అవుతుంది. ఆ చిత్రం ప్రచార నిమిత్తం ఈరోజు మీడియా ప్రతినిధులతో ఒక సమావేశం ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

కాగా ఈ ప్రెస్ మీట్ సందర్భంగా నిర్మాత ఎన్వీ ప్రసాద్ మాట్లాడుతూ, మోహన్ రాజా నిజానికి ధృవ సీక్వెల్ ఆలోచనతో రామ్ చరణ్ వద్దకు వచ్చినపుడు, ఆయన చేతికి లూసిఫర్ రీమేక్ బాధ్యతను అప్పగించాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నారని చెప్పారు. ఈ వార్త విన్న మెగా అభిమానులు ధృవ 2 సినిమా నిజంగా తెరకెక్కితే బాగుంటుందని ఆశిస్తున్నారు.
