Matti Kusthi (Gatta Kusthi in Tamil), A Tamil-Telugu bilingual project starring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi as the lead pair, had a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil languages today. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja together with lead actor Vishnu Vishal produced Matti Kusthi jointly.
Reportedly, Netflix has bagged the Telugu and Tamil versions of Matti Kusthi post-theatrical streaming rights for a decent amount. The film is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix. It will stream from Netflix on January 1 as a New Year gift.
Matti Kusthi story is based around the incidents take place after Veera, a male chauvinist, marries Keerthy, a wrestling champion, without knowing about her real self and skill.
The film focuses on sports and also has elements related to Women’s Empowerment. The film received decent word of mouth from the audience in the theatrical release, is likely to perform well in the OTT release too.
Aishwarya Lekshmi’s performance in it was widely appreciated. Karunas, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Redin Kingsley, Hareesh Peradi, Sreeja Ravi, and many others starred in the film.
Matti Kusthi, which had music by Justin Prabhakaran, was backed by Vishnu Vishal Studioz in association with Telugu actor Ravi Teja’s RT Team works banners, respectively.
