2022లో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా సంచలనం సృష్టించిన సినిమాల్లో రెండు కన్నడ ఇండస్ట్రీ నుంచే రావడం విశేషం. అందులో ఒకటి కేజీఎఫ్‌ 2 కాగా మరో సినిమా కాంతార. కేజీఎఫ్‌ 2 అయితే రూ.1200 కోట్లకు పైగా వసూళ్లతో దూసుకెళ్లింది. ఇక చిన్న సినిమాగా రిలీజైన కాంతార ఏకంగా రూ.400 కోట్ల వసూళ్లతో ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా సంచలనమే సృష్టించింది.

ఈ రెండు సినిమాలను నిర్మించింది హోంబలే ఫిల్మ్సే. అయితే కాంతారలో కీలకపాత్ర పోషించిన కిషోర్ అనే నటుడు ఇప్పుడు కేజీఎఫ్‌ 2 పై చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలు ఇప్పుడు వివాదానికి దారి తీశాయి. అదొక చెత్త సినిమా అని, అలాంటి సినిమా చూసే బదులు తాను చిన్నదైనా సరే ఓ సీరియస్‌ కథాంశం ఉన్న సినిమా చూస్తానని కిషోర్ అన్నారు. ఇంత వరకూ తాను కేజీఎఫ్‌ 2 సినిమాను తాను చూడలేదని కూడా ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.

కాంతార సినిమాలో కిశోర్‌ ఫారెస్ట్‌ ఆఫీసర్‌ రోల్‌ పోషించిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఆయన ఇటీవలే మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ.. ” ఇలా అనడం సరైనదో కాదో తెలియదు కానీ నేను కేజీఎఫ్‌ 2 చూడలేదు. అది నా టైప్‌ సినిమా కాదు. అది నా వ్యక్తిగత విషయం. ఇలాంటి ఓ మైండ్ లెస్ సినిమా కంటే పెద్దగా సక్సెస్‌ కాని సీరియస్‌ అంశాన్ని డీల్‌ చేసే ఓ చిన్న సినిమాను చూస్తాను” అని అన్నారు.

కన్నడ స్టార్‌ యశ్‌ నటించిన కేజీఎఫ్‌, కేజీఎఫ్‌ 2 సినిమాలు రెండూ ఘన సంచలన విజయం సాధించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ప్రశాంత్ నీల్‌ ఈ తెరకెక్కించారు. ఇక రిషబ్‌ శెట్టి డైరెక్షన్‌లో వచ్చిన కాంతార సినిమా కేవలం రూ.15 కోట్లతో తెరకెక్కి.. రూ.400 కోట్లకుపైగా వసూలు చేసింది.

2022లో ఈ సినిమాతోపాటు పొన్నియిన్‌ సెల్వన్‌, షి సీజన్‌ 2 వెబ్‌ సిరీస్‌ల ద్వారా కిషోర్ పేరు సంపాదించారు. కాగా ఆయన త్వరలోనే రెడ్‌ కాలర్‌ అనే హిందీ సినిమాలో కూడా కనిపించనున్నారు.

కిషోర్ వివాదాస్పద వ్యాఖ్యలు చేయడం ఇదే మొదటిసారి కాదు. ‘కాంతార’ భారీ విజయం తరువాత, చాలా మంది బిజెపి నాయకులు సినిమా చూసి కంటెంట్ ను ప్రశంసించారు. వాస్తవానికి, ‘బూత కోలా’ హిందూ సంస్కృతిలో భాగమని రిషబ్ శెట్టి చెప్పారు.

అయితే, కిషోర్ ఈ విషయం పై భిన్నమైన వైఖరిని కలిగి ఉన్నారు మరియు “ద్వేషం యొక్క బ్రోకర్ల” బారిన పడవద్దని ప్రజలను ఒక సందర్భంలో పరోక్షంగా బీజేపీ నాయకులను నమ్మొద్దు అంటూ ప్రజలని ఆయన హెచ్చరించారు.

‘కెజిఎఫ్’ సిరీస్ కన్నడ చిత్ర పరిశ్రమకు గర్వకారణంగా పరిగణించబడుతున్నందున కిషోర్ చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలు ఆ సినిమా అభిమానులకు షాక్ ఇచ్చాయి, నిజానికి కేజీఎఫ్ వల్లే కన్నడ చిత్ర పరిశ్రమకు జాతీయ ప్రాముఖ్యత వచ్చింది అని వారు భావిస్తున్నారు.

Re-release of star heroes films has become a trend these days in the Telugu film industry. It all started with the special shows of Okkadu and Pokiri which were held on August 8th and 9th in the last year to celebrate Superstar Mahesh Babu’s birthday. The response was huge to the shows.

Pokiri and Jalsa re-releases were done on birthday specials of Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan and both were a complete celebration by the fans and the team has used the collections of the shows for charity even the same happened with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ChennaKeshavareddy as well.

However, it now looks like re releasing the old Super hit films has become just a business. The latest re releases like Kushi, Okkadu , Badri, Tholiprema all these films are doing just for a business.

There should be a surprise factor for these special shows which would bring the anticipation among the fans and audience. But those who are releasing these movies are not getting this point and just bothered about minting money.

Pawan Kalyan’s Kushi was dropped last week, and now it is being reported that his other film Badri will also be be released on January 26th.

Keeping aside the fact that it brings nostalgic vibes to the audience and euphoria in theaters, these special shows will affect the run of small films on the other side and the organizers and fans should plan these events in a way that without overdoing and disturbing the new releases.

It’s raining re-releases for Power Star Pawan Kalyan. After the massive success of Kushi and Jalsa’s re-release and an announcement made for Tholi Prema release, now it’s the turn of his other super hit Badri.

Badri re-release is planned for Republic Day and the announcement has filled the fans with new energy. Fans, over the years, have longed to see Pawan Kalyan in the angry young man role that Badri popularised. While glimpses of it were seen in Puri-Pawan’s next combo Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, Badri holds a special place in the fan’s hearts.

Puri Jagannadh made his debut as a director with Pawan Kalyan’s Badri and he’s been unstoppable since then. He’s created such a niche for himself in TFI where regardless of his film’s result, his dialogues and writing remain the central point of fans’ & critics’ discussions.

Badri also marked the debut of leading ladies Amisha Patel and Renu Desai. Pawan’s angry young man characterization, Prakash Raj’s brilliant performance and Puri’s dialogues and presentation along with Ramana Gogula’s foot-tapping music made the movie a massive success and got Pawan Kalyan a cult following which he took to another height with blockbuster Kushi.

KGF2 is a mindless movie and not my type of cinema says Kantara actor

Multilingual actor Kishore, whose was in the news after claiming that his Twitter account was suspended, has invited a controversy by hailing Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s blockbuster ‘KGF 2’ a “mindless” film.

This has come as a jolt to the fans as ‘KGF’ series is perceived as a pride of Kannada film industry which brought in the film industry under the national prominence.

Kishore, who was appreciated for his work in Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara, stated that he is not a fan of the KGF franchise. He continued to say that he would rather uphold small-budget, content-driven films that address serious issues than “mindless” spectacles. He said, “I don’t know if it is right or wrong, but I haven’t watched KGF 2.” He added it was his personal choice.

KGF 2 was created by Prashanth Neel and marked Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, and Rao Ramesh, along with Yash. The film collected over Rs.1200 crore at the box office worldwide. On the other hand, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara also scored greatly at the box office. Kantara collected over 400 crores gross worldwide.

The makers of KGF have announced that they are all set to make the sequel to the film, but nothing has been officially confirmed as of now.

This is not the first time when Kishore has made a bold comment. Following the massive success of ‘Kantara’, many BJP leaders watched the movie and praised the content. In fact, Rishab Shetty had said that ‘Boota Kola’ was part of a Hindu culture.

However, Kishore had a different take on the issue and had warned people not to fall prey to the “brokers of hatred”.“Think for a moment before falling prey to the brokers of hatred, who have already hijacked the national anthem, flag, logo and poets, who have used and abused crores of freedom fighters including Patel Gandhi Bose Nehru, just for Vote (sic),” he wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Kishore has clarified that his Twitter account has not been suspended for violating Twitter rules. “Just to avoid unnecessary misconceptions about the suspension of my Twitter account. My Twitter account was not suspended because of any of my posts,” he wrote. “I have come to know that it was because of hacking on December 20, 2022. Twitter has promised necessary action,” the actor added.

12th January is considered as the best date according to the buyers and both the movie units suddenly have preponed to 11th January. Now again there are rumors coming that they are looking for another date.

Thunivu producers prefer solo release and Varisu producers also want the same release date as Thunivu. According to the reports another release update from both the teams Thunivu and Varisu is exepected today.

Kollywood is all set to witness the biggest clash in recent times, with Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu locking horns during Pongal 2023. No matter on which date they arrive, both the films will make the fans audience and trade circles go crazy with their competition.

For those who don’t know, Vijay vs Ajith is one of the most hardcore fan clashes of all time in Indian cinema. Every so often, it’s way beyond toxic. Even now, with just a few days away from the release, fans of both Tamil heroes are attacking like anything on social media.

Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna will be seen in lead roles in Varisu and Prakash Raj, R. Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Prabhu, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Shyam in other important roles. The film is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and its produced by Dil Raju, Sirish, Pearl V. Potluri, Param V. Potluri.

Thunivu is directed and written by H. Vinoth. The film stars superstar Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrior and is produced by Boney Kapoor. Alongside the major leads, Samuthirakani, Veera, John Kokken, and Bagavathi Perumal appear in supporting roles.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming project Jailer has just got much more exciting with the addition of another legend. As per reports, Mohanlal will be playing a vital role in this movie directed by Nelson Dileepkumar. Already Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar has been confirmed for this project and with the Malayalam legend’s involvement in the project, the film has become way more exciting.

Shiva Rajkumar had earlier expressed his joy at sharing the screen with the Superstar and said, “It’s a great opportunity for anybody to act along with Rajinikanth, and I’m glad that this project has made it possible for me. He has known me from my childhood, and I share a special bond with the senior actor. Irrespective of the role, I’m glad to be part of this film. I’m sure fans will love to watch Rajini Sir and me together on the silver screen.”

Mohanlal will join the cast on 8th January and will shoot his portions real quickly. His role is apparently going to be a cameo which will be a key of the story. The film will also feature Ramya Krishnan and with such a packed cast of talented stars, the Jailer sure looks like a feast for the fans.

Anirudh will compose the music for the film while the big-budget action entertainer will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
