It’s raining re-releases for Power Star Pawan Kalyan. After the massive success of Kushi and Jalsa’s re-release and an announcement made for Tholi Prema release, now it’s the turn of his other super hit Badri.
Badri re-release is planned for Republic Day and the announcement has filled the fans with new energy. Fans, over the years, have longed to see Pawan Kalyan in the angry young man role that Badri popularised. While glimpses of it were seen in Puri-Pawan’s next combo Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, Badri holds a special place in the fan’s hearts.
Puri Jagannadh made his debut as a director with Pawan Kalyan’s Badri and he’s been unstoppable since then. He’s created such a niche for himself in TFI where regardless of his film’s result, his dialogues and writing remain the central point of fans’ & critics’ discussions.
Badri also marked the debut of leading ladies Amisha Patel and Renu Desai. Pawan’s angry young man characterization, Prakash Raj’s brilliant performance and Puri’s dialogues and presentation along with Ramana Gogula’s foot-tapping music made the movie a massive success and got Pawan Kalyan a cult following which he took to another height with blockbuster Kushi.
