Bellamkonda Ganesh’s debut film ‘Swathi Muthyam’ hit the screens on October 5th. Directed by Lakshman K Krishna, the film got itself into the news because of releasing along with the biggies like Chiranjeevi’s GodFather and Nagarjuna’s The Ghost.
The movie did receive a good response from the reviewers and the public too felt it was a healthy entertainer. A genuine message wrapped up with a nice mix of humor and emotions. But the film didn’t get the required numbers at the box office. Many people on social media and even the cinephiles felt that the movie could have been a successful film if it had been released on a different date instead of coming in competition with big hero films.
After having a brief run in theatres, Swathi Muthyam is now all set to meet the digital audience. It is known that the digital rights of this movie were bagged by the popular streaming platform ‘Aha’.
The OTT giant announced that the Bellamkonda Ganesh starrer will be released on the 28th of this month. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, the movie starred Varsha Bollama in the female lead role.
Swathi Muthyam tells us about the story of Balamurali Krishna (Bellamkonda Ganesh) a small-time government employee who is a calm-going person. His parents fix his alliance with Bhagya Lakshmi(Varsha Bollamma).
They both meet and start liking each other and when everything goes well and they’re about to get married, an incident from Balu’s past creates a huge rift in the wedding.
The rest of the story is about how the hero sets things right, proves his honesty, and how finally marries the girl of his choice.
