Sankranti 2023 will be an exciting one for Tollywood fans. This time there are 4 big commercial entertainers starring top stars from Telugu and Tamil vying to emerge victorious in the festive season. While Sankranti 2022 was a disappointing affair, with movies like RRR, Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak all getting pushed to later dates, Sankranti 2023 will surely bring back the festive feel for movie lovers.
First up, there’s Ajith Kumar’s Thegimpu which is all set to release in theaters on January 11, while Vijay’s Varasudu which was too supposed to drop on the same date, today has announced its new release date as January 14th. Ajith will enjoy solo release in Telugu States.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy releasing on January 12th. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film will further star Shruti Haasan in lead along with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Duniya Vijay in a vital roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Veera Simha Reddy’s music is composed by S Thaman.
Arriving just a day later is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya. Bobby is directing this movie which incidentally also stars Shruti Haasan and is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is playing an extended cameo in this action entertainer, while Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music.
Apart from these top star movies, young hero Santosh Sobhan has also entered the fray with Kalyanam Kamaneeyam. The film is an upcoming romantic entertainer which is going to release on January 15th , Starring Santosh Shoban and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead characters.
The film is written and directed by Anil Kumar Alla. This movie casts Devi Prasad, Pavitra Lokesh, Satyam Rajesh, Sapthagiri, Saddam, and many others in prominent roles. The music was composed by Sravan Bharadwaj, while the cinematography was done by Karthik Gattamneni. UV Concepts, a subsidiary of UV Creations produced the film.
