Sankranthi is a time for joy, celebration, and festivities and one of the most enjoyed festivities are the movies of star heroes. Especially in the Telugu states and Tamil Nadu, the heroes are celebrated to great extents during Sankranthi. And there is no exception this time as well.

There is tight competition between the releases of this Sankranthi and everyone is eager to see who will emerge as the Sankranthi winner. Will it be the in-form Balayya, the Megastar Chiranjeevi or will Vijay’s Varisu steal the show? Ajith’s Thunivu is also scheduled to release this Sankranthi.

There have been some controversies lately regarding the release of Varisu in the Telugu states. Many are questioning producer Dil Raju’s intentions of releasing a Tamil dubbed film in competition with straight Telugu releases. As the asking prices are very high for Chiru and Balayya’s movies, exhibitors are interested in taking Vijay’s film. This is mainly because of the guaranteed family audience and also the reasonable prices.

Vijay has always enjoyed a strong market in the Telugu belts and director Vamsi Paidipally knows the beats of the Telugu audience. Hence, theatre owners are compelled to believe that there is no risk in buying this film. There are also high chances of the film turning out to become a jackpot for the buyers.

Samantha’s Yashoda was released in theatres on 11th November and was received with mixed responses and decent collections at the box office. The film took a good start and then slowed down after the public talk. For a medium-range film, public talk is crucial and as a result, Yashoda could not post significant collections.

The film was planned to release on OTT immediately after the theatrical run but due to a legal issue with Eva IVF hospital, it was postponed. For some context, Eva was also the name of the hospital used in Yashoda. In the movie, the hospital is shown in a bad light and this has hurt the sentiments of the hospital. As a result, Eva took the matters to the court.

But it looks like this mess has now been sorted out. It seems to have been a simple case of misunderstanding and coincidence. The issue has now been resolved and Yashoda is all set to stream on Amazon Prime from 9th December.

Yashoda stars a fantastic Samantha, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, and Divya Sripada in prominent roles. It has been written and directed by the duo of Hari-Harish. Sivalenka K Prasad is the producer of the movie and the music is by iconic music director Mani Sharma.

సూపర్ స్టార్ మహేష్ బాబు ప్రస్తుతం దర్శకుడు త్రివిక్రమ్ తో ఓ సినిమా చేస్తున్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. వీరిద్దరూ కలిసి చేస్తున్న మూడో సినిమా కావడంతో పాటు ఇది మహేష్ కెరీర్‌లో 28వ చిత్రం అవడంతో ఈ సినిమా SSMB28 అనే వర్కింగ్ టైటిల్ తో ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది.

2010లో వచ్చిన ఖలేజా తర్వాత మహేష్ – త్రివిక్రమ్ కాంబినేషన్లో వస్తున్న సినిమా కావడంతో ఈ చిత్రం పై మహేష్ అభిమానులు భారీ స్థాయిలో అంచనాలు పెట్టుకున్నారు. అయితే సినిమా స్క్రిప్ట్ లో మార్పులు జరగడం.. మరియు ఇటీవలే దురదృష్టవశాత్తూ సూపర్ స్టార్ కృష్ణ మరణం వంటి పలు కారణాలతో ఈ సినిమా షూటింగ్ వాయిదా పడింది.

Adivi Sesh’s Hit2 is set to take a big start at the box office

It has been quite some time since a big Telugu movie has released. After such gap Hit 2 is releasing on December 2nd. This is a sequel to the successful Hit movie starring Adivi Sesh with the same director at the helm.

The bookings are too good for this movie and the collections look promising on day 1 of the movie. There is quite some buzz for the movie because of the trailer. It has every element audiences want in a whodunit thriller.

There is a tough, confident cop challenged by an intelligent criminal with psychopathic characteristics. The trailer and the confidence the team has shown in the pre-release event might have moved audiences Towards the theaters.

Movie is presented by Nani under Wall poster cinema and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. It is rare that Adivi Sesh is doing a movie with a script from outside.

There are possible extensions to this movie as well. The universe will only be growing according to the director. We hope this second film in the series becomes a massive hit and paves way for the subsequent movies to follow.

Along with the lead star cast, the film also stars Bhanu Chander as K. Vishwanath, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishan Murali, Tanikella Bharani, Komal Prasad and Maganti Srinath as Abhilash.

SSMB28 team decided to finish the shooting quickly

Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently doing a movie with director Trivikram. This is the 28th movie of his career, popular as SSMB28. The shooting of this movie has been delayed due to various reasons like change of script, demise of Superstar Krishna.

The team is now trying to complete the shooting at a rapid pace. This is in the view of releasing it by August 2023. The team is trying to wrap up the shooting by July next year.

Trivikram is known for shooting his movies quickly. However, for this movie an action sequence was planned initially, but it was stalled due to discrepancies in the script. The team finalized an entirely new script. With the new script, the team is trying to go on floors in December first week.

We have to wait and see if the team could meet the deadline. Doing things in hasty manner will not do good for the film but then it’s up to them because they will be the sole owners of profit and loss, so decision should be theirs.

Mahesh is a perfectionist. He won’t compromise for poor quality for reaching deadlines. This attitude is certainly good, but at the same time from production perspective it will be a conflict. We have to wait and see how well Trivikram manages quality and time.

Even months after its release and subsequent failure at the box office, Liger is continuing to haunt its unit. After Puri Jagannadh and Charmi, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s turn to appear before ED for questioning. Vijay was questioned for about 9 hours regarding the financing aspect of the movie.

The sequel for Suriya’s Jai Bhim is confirmed

Producer Rajasekar Pandian of 2D Entertainment has confirmed that a sequel to actor Suriya’s much acclaimed film Jai Bhim’s sequel is mostly possible. Confirming that the sequel plan is definitely on, Rajasekar said that the film is currently in the form of an idea, and it will take a lot of time to prepare the script, and it will need a thorough research too before going on to the floors.

Jai Bhim, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is a hard-hitting courtroom drama about the fight for the oppressed and caste-based discrimination. The film featured Suriya in the role of real-life lawyer Chandru, who dedicated his life to fighting for the oppressed without charging a single rupee.

Talking to the media, Rajasekar confirmed that the sequel plan is in the offing,“ Yes, Jai Bhim 2 is definitely happening as I confirmed at the film festival. We (2D Entertainment) are making a film with TJ Gnanavel next – but that is a different script. Once he wraps up this project, we will work on Jai Bhim 2. Currently, Jai Bhim sequel is only in the ideation stage. It requires a lot of preparation and research. And there are plenty of stories about Justice Chandru that need to be told.”

Before this project can go on the floors, director TJ Gnanavel will work for another film for 2D Entertainment. Jai Bhim stars Lijomol Jose, Manikandan, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, and others. Jai Bhim had its screening under the Indian Panorama Feature Films section at IFFI 53.

Suriya was last seen playing a cameo in Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, which released earlier this year and grossed over 400 crores worldwide. Recently, Suriya spoke about the possibility of doing a film based on the highly popular character Rolex from Vikram.

Suriya’s cameo as the drug lord Rolex in Vikram was one of the major highlights of the movie though it was for a 1 minute, it was well celebrated by the audience. He said if a separate film on Rolex comes to him, he would certainly do it.
