SS Rajamouli reveals his most awaited project of 2023

Ace director SS Rajamouli and Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s bonding is known to everyone. Rajamouli gave the best movies in Ram Charan’s career as Magadheera and the latest Pan Indian blockbuster RRR.

The friendship between Ram Charan and SS Rajamouli started with Magadheera. After this film, we know they both came together again for RRR film. The entire world is looking now towards Telugu Film Industry and that is because of RRR. NTR and Charan’s multi-starrer film is also in the Oscar race, as we know.

Indian film audience are waiting eagerly to see whether this film will win the Oscar award or not. Besides Oscars hopes, RRR has won many international awards. We already know that Rajamouli will do his next project with Mahesh Babu which will be a globe-trotting adventure.

Today Rajamouli took part in the Filmmaker’s Adda 2022 of Film Companion, which was conducted by popular film analyst Anupama Chopra. Along with Rajamouli, Prithviraj sukumaran, Kamal Haasan, Gautam Menon, Swapna dutt and Lokesh Kanagaraj were present for the discussion.

During the Filmmakers Adda, Rajamouli said that he is awaiting for Sukumar and Charan’s next film, which is his most awaited project of 2023.

“I am eagerly awaiting Charan and Sukumar’s upcoming film. Charan narrated the opening scene of the film to me. I really loved that scene. I am waiting for them to pair up again and make that movie soon,” Rajamouli said.

Sukumar-Charan came together for Rangasthalam film in 2018. Charan appeared in a raw and rustic look in the film and it received enormous recognition and box office collections too. Whether the Sukumar and Ram Charan are planning any sequel to Rangasthalam or they are going to come up with a new story, we will have to wait and watch.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is a Big failure in Russia ?

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa was released in theaters in Russia on December 8. The Icon Star and the team of Pushpa the Rise went to Russia and promoted the film in the country. They were also accompanied by Rashmika Mandanna.

However, despite the team has flied to Russia and promoted the film, and the makers invested some sizeable amount to dub into the Russian language, promote and release the film. Their efforts are gone in vain, it seems.

Pushpa The Rise has released on 8th December and after that, the team maintained silence. The production unit has not updated anything on the film’s performance or any kind of Russian audience response or opinions after release.

Netflix is the main reason for RRR global recognition

The level of global recognition and applause SS Rajamouli’s RRR received is a known fact to everyone. The film has floored audience at every place it was screened and special re-runs were also held in the USA to satisfy the audience’s demands. Similarly, the film performed well in the European market and in Japan, it emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

During its initial release, RRR went on to become a pan-India hit theatrically. On its OTT release on Netflix, the film’s global popularity increased multifold. Sun Pictures officially announced the film under the title Thalaivar 169 in February this year and shared the first poster of the film in June this year.

The film focuses on a dreaded gangster and his men who plot to escape from prison, but a strict jailer thwarts their attempts. The jailer’s attempts at thwarting the gang’s plan form the core of the story.

Apart from Rajinikanth, the film features Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan in pivotal roles. Jailer will release in the summer of 2023.

This is the first collaboration between Thalaiva, Nelson Dilip Kumar, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. Nelson’s last projects include Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Beast and Siva Kartikeyan-starrer Doctor. Rajinikanth was last seen in the 2021 film Annaatthe and the 2020 film Darbar, both of which were box office disasters.

Lokesh Kanagaraj rose to the fame by the films like Khaithi, Master and latest Tamil Industry hit Vikram, has told that he’s committed to the LCU ( Lokesh Kanagaraj Universe) for the next 10 years.

The young filmmaker said this in the recent Filmmakers’ Adda. Popular online media Film Companion conducted this, in which the leading man-producer Kamal Haasan and director Lokesh Kanagaraj explained that there will be more installments in LCU, including the Vikram sequel which has been titled Vikram 2, and Karthi’s Kaithi 2.

Interestingly, when host Anupama Chopra asked Lokesh if we can expect a film on Rolex, the character played by Suriya, the young filmmaker assured it is also on cards.

“Right now I’m working on a film (Thalapathy 67). After that, I have to sit with Kamal Haasan sir and have a talk first. So, It will be Vikram 2, Kaithi 2, and probably Rolex.” revealed Lokesh Kanagaraj.

“It’s a universe right, so we have all the privilege to do all kinds of films – like with whichever character you want, and a prequel or sequel you want. So, for the next 10 years, I’m settled,” he replied. Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, continued: “We have made a promise, so it’s for us to keep it up.”

We know that Tamil Star Hero Suriya did a cameo in Vikram in the role of Rolex, the boss of the film’s principal antagonist Sandhanam, played by Vijay Sethupathi.

The National award-winning actor’s never-seen-before avatar as the cold-blooded don completely won the hearts of audiences. It thrilled them to see Suriya in a new avatar.
