A total of 8 films released during this month including dubbed releases i.e, on an average of 2 films per week. The number has come down this year as 14 films were released last year in January. However the success rate has increased.

Alavaikunthapurramuloo : Highly anticipated Movie of Stylish Star AlluArjun’s Alavaikunthapurramulo has collected a worldwide distributor share of Rs155 Cr, which is a record by miles. The film surpassed the worldwide collections of previous non-bb Industry hit Syeraanarasimhareddy (124 Cr) with Domestic collections alone speaks volumes about this humongous success.

SarileruNeekevvaru : This film marks the comeback of Energetic Super star Mahesh Babu after a long gap. It has opened to huge numbers on Day One and went on to become a Blockbuster by the end of it’s run, With a worldwide distributor share of Rs 135 Cr, and became the third film to collect over Rs 100 Cr share for Mahesh babu.

Flops & Disasters
Thoota, AthadeSrimmanarayana, Darbar, Enthamanchivaadavura, Discoraja and Aswathama failed to attract the audience and ended up as loss ventures to the parties involved.
