It is very well known to everyone that Akhil Akkineni’s Agent, directed by Surender Reddy, has turned out to be a massive failure. The film, having Malayalam Megastar Mammootty in an important vital role and Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead, failed to entertain the audience and Akkineni fans as well. It became a miserable failure at the box office. However, it looks like Akhil Akkineni and Anil Sunkara are putting on entire blame on director Surender Reddy.

Before a few days the producer of Agent, Anil Sunkara had mentioned that going to the sets without a bound script was the main reason for the failure of the film, and yesterday Hero Akhil wrote a letter and thanked everyone except the director of the film, Surender Reddy. Its clear that both are indirectly blaming the director.

The result of Agent has hurt the career of Surender Reddy terribly. Before this movie, he and Allu Arjun planned to reunite for a film. This would have been their second project after the hugely successful Racegurram that was released back in 2014. The debacle of Agent has now pushed all these plans away and has also created a massive dent in Surender Reddy’s image.

Surender Reddy, just like other directors, will have to take the blame, assess the situation and look for a medium-budget film to prove his capability to sustain.

PVR Inox reported a huge loss and planning to shut down 50 screens

Major Cinema Exhibitor PVR Inox Ltd (formerly known as PVR Ltd) on Monday disclosed a consolidated net loss of Rs 333.99 crore for the fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2023. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 105.49 crore in the January-March period a year ago, PVR Inox said in a regulative filing. It is being reported that the company is in plans to shutdown 50 Screens owing to the big loss.

Its revenue from operations was at Rs 1,143.17 crore during the quarter under evaluation. It was Rs 536.17 crore in the year-ago period. During the quarter ending March 2023, two major exhibitors of movie PVR Ltd and INOX Leisure merged and created a new identity PVR Inox Ltd.

The merger came into effect as of February 6, 2023, so the results are not comparable, it said.

The company, formed by the merger of India’s top two multiplex operators earlier this year, said it is planning to shut down 50 loss-making screens in the next six months. Cinema operators in India have been struggling ever since the pandemic, when a lockdown forced people to sit home and made the OTT streaming more popular among movie lovers, prompting PVR and Inox to join forces.

“Q4 FY’23 results for the company are reported on a merged basis for PVR and INOX and are not comparable with Q4 FY’22 reported results. Similarly, FY’23 full-year results are based on 9-month numbers for PVR and 4th quarter numbers for PVR & INOX combined, making them not comparable with FY’22 reported results,” it said.

According to the reports, Vijay was to begin this film immediately after his ongoing Leo with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and reports strongly recommended that the movie will be produced by not one but two production banners, i.e., Super Good Films and Mythri Movie Makers.

Thalapathy 68 was initially reported to be directed by Atlee, which made his fans happy as this combo has a successful track record with scoring 3 blockbusters. However, the film did not materialize and it was said that Atlee’s project will be made as Vijay’s 69th film, with Sun Pictures being the production house and Anirudh composing the music.

Let’s hope that the big drama around Thalapathy Vijay’s next movie, and it’s director ends soon and a proper official announcement regarding the same will be out, much to everyone’s happiness.

It is very well known to everyone that Akhil Akkineni’s previous film Agent faced severe disappointment at the box office, and producer Anil Sunkara openly acknowledged that the absence of a bound script led to the film’s miserable failure. Now, the hero of the film, Akhil himself broke the silence about that and expressed his gratitude to his fans for their valuable support.

In his note/letter, Akhil focused on appreciating his fans and the other crew of Agent, but he did not mention the name of director Surender Reddy, suggesting that he holds him responsible for the failure of the film.

Sharing a note on social media today, Akhil wrote, “To my dearest fans and all my well-wishers. I want to sincerely thank the cast and crew of Agent who dedicated their lives to see our film come to life. While we tried our level best, the film unfortunately didn’t translate the way we wished it would on the screen, and we could not deliver a good film for you.”

Akhil added, “A special thanks to my producer Anil garu who was my biggest support system. Thank you to all the distributors who believed in our film and also the media who supported us immensely. The love and energy you all give me is the reason I work, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that.”

In the final words of the letter, Akhil wrote, “I will come back stronger for all those who believe in me.”

The teaser cut is Extraordinary with rich visuals and an intriguing concept. The action sequences are also looking like made on a big scale and a very interesting storyline which can connect to everyone. With Karthikeya 2, Nikhil scored a pan India blockbuster and this movie has also perfect chance to become a pan India blockbuster as the content looks appealing to all audiences.

The teaser begins with Makrand Deshpande explaining to his team about Bhagwan Ji Files, which is nothing but India’s best-kept secret, creator of Azad Hind Fauj, idealist, and freedom fighter Subhash Chandrabose. He calls the death of Netaji in an airplane crash a story of concealment. The spy played by Nikhil is given the responsibility to solve the mystery. Recently, the Nizam buyers went on a protest at the Film Chamber seeking compensation for their massive losses. The Nizam buyers in particular are at the forefront of this protest and have gone on a relay hunger strike.

Liger’s Nizam rights were bought by Warangal Srinu for a huge price. Theatre owners gave huge advances as the movie was sold at a record price. Unfortunately, the movie turned out to be a disaster. Post this, Puri Jagannadh promised Warangal Srinu that he will take care of the compensation and Warangal Srinu promised the same to theatre owners.

But, no settlements have been made so far and the buyers have gone on strike because of this. Warangal Srinu has informed the theatre owners that he hasn’t received any amount from Puri so he cannot return any money now to the theatre owners. Energetic star Ram Pothineni and mass-stage director Boyapati Srinu have collaborated for the first time for a mass action entertainer, tentatively entitled Boyapati RAPO. Sai Dharam Tej’s Virupaksha has been the surprise blockbuster of the year with the film now entering its 24th day of the box office run. The film was appreciated for its technical values and different concept and the audience, who were looking for something different from the Tollywood filmmakers found their match in Virupaksha.

The supernatural horror film had a very good weekend and it was a huge relief for the theatre owner as the movie is running on shares for 24 days. The Kerala Story Actress Adah Sharma and director met with a road accident

Adah Sharma and the “The Kerala Story” team had to join the Hindu Ekta Yatra in Karimnagar over the weekend. But after a car accident, the event was called off. Adah’s fans were worried and contacted the actress for her health update, and Adah went on to Twitter to confirm it was all well.

The Kerala Story movie revolves around Shalini Unnikrishnan (Adah Sharma), Nimah (Yogita Bihani), and Siddhi Idnani (Geetanjali), who share their room with Asifa (Sonia Balani) in a nursing college in Kasargod, Kerala. Asifa, who is an aide to ISIS, how indoctrinates and brainwashes the three girls and converts them to Islam and what happens to them is the main crux of the movie.
