MAA Association suspended character artist Karate Kalyani on SR NTR’s statue issue

Karate Kalyani, a character actress, was expelled from the MAA. The MAA has cancelled her membership and suspended her from the organization, according to a message from Raghu Babu, General Secretary of the Movie Artist’s Association. The reason for Karate Kalyani’s expulsion from MAA was mentioned in the notification.

Earlier, Karate Kalyani had expressed her disapproval of the NTR statue being in the avatar of Lord Sri Krishna which was to be unveiled at Khammam. She said that the community of Yadava is angry about this and that if the statue was to be unveiled, it would be vandalized. These comments from Kalyani sparked controversy and Movie Artists Association had to react to her remarks.

Karate Kalyani received a warning from MAA President Manchu Vishnu after he felt her remarks to be improper. On May 16th, Karate Kalyani gave an official explanation, but the MAA panel was not convinced with it. Additionally, in accordance with the rules and regulations, MAA suspended Karate Kalyani. Now we have to wait until watch how Karate Kalyani will react to this suspension.

Karate Kalyani is a Senior Character Artist in the Telugu Film Industry, and she also happens to be the member of MAA (Movie Artists Association). Mahesh Babu is being trolled by netizens for his latest tweet on the latest film, Mem Famous. It is very well known that in the recent days, Mem Famous movie has become popular with its innovative promotions. Yesterday the film team also arranged special premiers on the night. However, even before those special premiers, industry people had also watched the movie in a supposedly early premier show and Mahesh Babu tweeted that Mem famous is a superb movie.

Mahesh’s tweet helped the film as early premiers at night almost all the shows went houseful but after watching the film audience are trolling Mahesh Babu by saying whether he had really watched the film or not. The audience felt like the film was stuck in between a short film and a feature film. Though a few comedy scenes worked well, there was no emotional connect in the movie to leave any impact on the audience. Also, the movie’s backdrop and dialogues target only the youth audience, especially of Nizam. However, Mem Famous movie received average reports from them only.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is one of the first ones to share his thoughts and praises whenever a new movie hits the screen. His encouragement of new projects with fresh faces has always filled newcomers with great excitement and greater admiration. Ponniyin Selvan 2 is now streaming on OTT

Mani Ratnam’s dream project, Ponniyin Selvan’s second part, was released in multiple languages on April 28th, and the film was opened to positive talk from the audiences and critics as well. However, the film had under performed at the box office and collected less than the first part of the film. Probably, it is the first time that a sequel has collected only 70% of the collections of the first part.

It was reported a few days ago that Ponniyin Selvan 2 will be steaming on OTT. Now, the film has made its digital debut today on Amazon Prime Video, but is only available for rent. Viewers need to pay a sum of Rs. 399 to watch the epic period action drama on the OTT platform. The film is available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, but there is still no mention of the Hindi version.

The story of Ponniyin Selvan 2 explores the past love story between Aditha Karikalan and Nandini, how they were separated and what made Nandini to seek vengeance on Chola Kingdom. The narrative also follows Arunmozhi Varman’s rise as the renowned emperor Rajaraja Chola and what incidents follow up until his rise.

The film comprises a huge star cast that includes Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (in double role), Trisha, and Jayam Ravi. Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Lal, Rahman, Kishore, and Mohan Raman are also part of the cast.

The movie is Produced by Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions. The music of the film is scored by AR Rahman, and the cinematography has been handled by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad, production design by Thotta Tharani, dialogues by Jeyamohan, costumes by Eka Lakhani, make-up by Vikram Gaikwad, and choreography by Brinda.

It is very well known to everyone that actress Dimple Hayathi and her boyfriend, Victor David, were in the headlines because of a police case. According to the police the actress attempted to damage the officer’s official car by parking her car in front of his, thus preventing the officer’s ability to do his work. She and her boyfriend allegedly behaved badly when Constable Chetan Kumar challenged their actions. A case had been registered against her and notices issued under the CRPC 41(a) provision. Because of this case, it is said Dimple Hayathi is now completely in depression as she is receiving warning calls continuously.

However, the lawyer of Dimple Hayathi clarified that it was a false case was filed against the actress. Now the lawyer, Paul Satyanarayana said they have received a copy of the FIR lodged against her. He asked that the FIR states that the cover of the car was removed and if there is any evidence of the same, they should be shown to them. Will the original government vehicles be covered?

Also, only the DCP has spoken in the case so far. But Dimple’s lawyer asked why the person who gave the complaint has not been speaking. The lawyer also informed that some unidentified persons were roaming at her house. She has also been getting continuous warning calls from unknown people. Dimple’s lawyer has made sensational comments that there is a threat to her life.

Dimple’s lawyer alleged that he was acting at will by obstructing the law. The DCP, who is supposed to work in accordance with the law, is doing illegal things. Dimple was called to the police station and made to sit for hours, that too being a celebrity. The lawyer alleged that the DCP is doing such things to degrade her status. Because of going through such a bad experience in a few days of time, Dimple Hayathi now went into deep depression.

2018 Movie Review – Captivating Survival Thriller

The recently released Malayalam Movie 2018, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role, has become an industry hit at the box office and received a high amount of applause. The Telugu version of the movie has been released today. Have a look at our review to know how the film is.

Story: Anup (Tovino Thomas), is a former soldier, who fears death and leaves the military. He is mocked by the people in his village. Mathachan (Lal) and her son Winston (Narain) earn their livelihood from fishing, while Koshy (Aju Varghese) drives a taxi for tourists. Ramesh (Vineeth Srinivasan), an IT employee in Dubai, faces relationship issues with his wife in India, and Sethupathi (Kalayirasan) from Tamil Nadu agrees to transport explosives to Kerala as a truck driver. How the Kerala floods have an impact on the lives of these people? How were they able to survive that catastrophe? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Analysis: Only a few movies can involve the audience in the movie completely and get them to travel with the characters, and “2018” is one of them. The story is simple, with no major twists and turns, but what makes it brilliant are its well-designed narrative and heartfelt emotions. Director Jude Anthony Joseph was successful in making the 2018 Movie a heartwarming journey. Though the proceedings take a bit of time to start, then after the screenplay never had a dull moment. The best thing about this film is at a point of time, we forget that we are watching a movie and want to save the people who are in danger because of the floods. We cheer if someone wins in the battle of survival. We feel sad if someone succumbs to the devastation the floods have created. Finally, we salute the heroes who saved many lives during the floods of Kerala, both on and off-screen.

It is not like the movie does not have any flaws. Few characters are not explored the way they had to. Also, few characters’ behavior appears a bit staged, but all these points are made forgotten with an engaging screenplay and deeply effectual emotions.

Performances: Tovino Thomas was simply superb in the character of Anup. His acting was effortless and flawless. The way his character turns from an ordinary man to a superhero is commendable. Asif Ali also gets a nice character and his performance was believable. Lal, Indrans, and Narain were natural. Kunchako Boban, Tanvi Ram, Kalayirasan and Vineeth Sreenivasan made their presence felt. Aparna Balamurali’s character did not have much importance.

Verdict: Overall, “2018” is a film that deserves the respect for its strong impact on the audience. The movie induces emotions and provides a thrilling experience at the same time. The excellent performances of Tovino Thomas, Lal and Narain, brilliant music and cinematography are the highlights of the movie. Except for a few unnecessary scenes, the film consists of many striking moments that will plunge into the audience’s emotions. Without any doubt, this is a worth watchable flick.

Mem Famous is a small film which has gained the attention of the audience through its impressive promotional campaign. With creative and innovative promotions, the movie was successful in creating good buzz around it. Now let’s find out whether the content of the movie matched the promotions or not.

Story: Mahesh (Sumanth Prabhas), Durga (Mani Aegurla), and Balakrishna (Mourya Nalagatla) the three youngsters live in the village called Bandanarsampally. This gang does not take life seriously and often get into petty troubles and is criticized by the entire village. Mahesh loves his uncle’s daughter Mounika (Saarya Laxman) while Balu loves Bubby ( Siri Raasi) from his childhood. How these guys get to know the seriousness of life and what things they do to become famous is what forms the rest of the story.

Analysis: The story of the film is not new, but Sumanth Prabhas who happens to be the director and main lead of the film, tried to narrate it in an entertaining way. He was successful in doing so in the first half. The intro of the three friends’ characters and their funny interactions with the villagers was nicely shown. The love tracks also had a good effect. By mixing a few emotional parts with fun moments, the director was able to make the first half a nice experience.

However, things didn’t work the same way in the second half as the narration gives a feel of going nowhere. Except for a few funny scenes here and there, the second half gives a boredom feel. The climax appears a bit better, but even that episode lacked the punch. The music of the movie worked well, but the sync sound was not done in a right way, which made many dialogues inaudible.

Mythri’s maiden OTT project titled Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu is now Streaming on OTT platform Aha Video. The teaser of the film promised a hilarious entertainer. Moreover, yesterday, the makers unveiled the trailer of the movie.

The trailer started with Sathi, played Pushpa actor Kesava, Jagadeesh Pratap Bandari trying to sell the valuable things in the house to pay for the treatment of his daughter. But accidentally, he finds a suitcase from a car and what funny and weird incidents followed forms the rest of the story.

The trailer with an engaging cut impressed the audience. Particularly, , the tracking shots, rich visuals and striking background score were the main attraction. Those who watched the trailer felt it was going to be an interesting ride with unexpected thrills and turns.

However, the makers of the film, Mem Famous have faced an unexpected backlash from Mahesh Babu fans on social media today. Earlier today, Mahesh shared his praise for the movie on Twitter and termed the film as ‘brilliant’ and that he was blown away by the film. The producers were delighted with Mahesh’s encouragement and asked the Superstar to keep extending his support. Mahesh graciously accepted this suggestion and said that GMB Entertainment will be happy to back this young, talented bunch for their next project.

This had not gone well with the fans of Mahesh, and they trolled and scolded in the replies of Mem Famous Producer’s handle. It appeared they did not want their favorite hero to be associated with such a small film’s unit. In the latest promotional event of the movie, the producer elaborated on the same thing, and he advised the fans of Mahesh that they should practice positivity and leave negativity.

Sharath Chandra, the producer of Mem Famous, said that he actually felt happy with Mahesh praising their film and out of happiness and excitement, he asked Mahesh Babu to produce a film with them.
