Mammooty announces a horror genre pan Indian film

The Malayalam Megastar Mammootty is collaborating with director Rahul Sadasivan for his next project, who has made “Bhootakalam” previously. Rahul Sadasivan’s upcoming film titled ‘Bramayugam’ will have the superstar as its main protagonist. A title poster has been released by the makers to announce the film. Mammootty took to his social media handle to announce the film, and he also shared that the team has commenced the shoot today (Aug 17), on the auspicious occasion of the Malayalam New Year.

The intriguing first-look poster portrays an eerie setting with a man carrying a torch while walking towards an abandoned mansion. According to the poster, the upcoming movie hints at being a horror-fantasy thriller.

The shoot for ‘Bramayugam’ has started with a grand Muhurat Pooja ceremony. Mammootty fans are very excited about this new film announcement from their favorite hero, and they are eager to know more details about the film.

During the event, Mammootty wore a printed shirt and white dhoti. Filmmaker B Unnikrishnan, producer Anto Joseph, other cast members like Sidharth Bharathan, Arjun Ashokan and Amalda Liz attended the Pooja ceremony. The upcoming film, ‘Bramayugam’, is billed as a pan-Indian release and will be released in 5 languages, according to the reports.

The electrifying teaser showcases the Mighty Tiger (Ravi Teja) as he dominates the realm of terror in Stuartpuram, a city known far and wide as the crime capital of South India. The teaser also features Anupam Kher as an Intelligence Officer and Murali Sharma as Deputy Superintendent of Police, who are on a mission to catch Tiger Nageswara Rao.

The story of Tiger Nageswara Rao, directed by Vamsee, is based on true events and set against the evocative backdrop of the 1970s. Along with Raviteja, Anupam Kher and Murali Sharma, Nupur Sanon as well as Gayathri Bhardwaj will also be seen essaying crucial roles in the film.

Likewise, if a particular heroes’ film becomes a big hit even then also the other fans will not accept the success of the film and try to demean or mud sling that particular film’s collections. The same is now happening with Rajinikanth’s Jailer, as the mega fans and Vijay fans are jealous of the film’s record-breaking numbers.

For Indian mega fans there are two reasons to try to troll the Jailer, one is the film has released the film with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar and delivered bigger numbers than Bhola Shankar in Telugu states. The second reason is for a long time the Mega fans are jealous that most of the people, including Telugu audiences, consider Rajini as the biggest South Indian star and mega fans are not happy with that as they always feel Chiranjeevi is bigger than Rajinikanth.

Even the Tamil Star Hero Thalapathy Vijay’s fans are also unable to accept the success of Jailer. “Raghuvaran BTech” a Dhanush Starrer was initially released by Renowned producer ‘Sravanthi ‘ Ravikishore in Telugu, under the banner Sri Sravanthi Movies on January 1, 2015 and it became a sensational success.

Mr. Ravikishore had released this Movie in Telugu as he was really fond of the concept of this movie which was set in the background of students. Not only did the Telugu audience like the movie, it created a market for Dhanush in Telugu which was non existent before.

The movie is now being re-released on Friday (August 18) in more than a hundred screens in the twin Telugu states with most shows indicating houseful, leading to the distributors adding more screens and increasing the number of shows.

On the occasion of the re-release of ‘Raghuvaran BTech’, ‘Sravanthi’ Ravikishore said, “Only Few films are evergreen movies and one such film is ‘Raghuvaran BTech’. A film that connects with students of every generation. This film discusses the life of students, their future plans and career struggles. Famous director Kishore Tirumala penned the Telugu dialogues. Unlike dubbing dialogues, all the words were written as they would be for a straight film. Dhanush had really lived in the role. Many students looked at themselves in ‘Raghuvaan’s Character. Looking at the advance bookings it seems the students are still connected with Raghuvaran. This is one of the movies that Anirudh composed music in the initial stage of his career, the Re-recording is extraordinary with amazing songs. This was the first hit album for Anirudh in Telugu, later on his fan base has increased and he is currently one of the most sought after prominent music directors“ he said.

Surabhi plays a key role in the movie, where the female lead role was played by Amala Paul. Saranya and Samudrakhani acted as the hero’s parents. Vivek, Hrishikesh, Amitash Pradhan are other cast members, this flick was Directed by Vel Raj.

Normally in the film industry, the producers of any film will always overhype the numbers by increasing the numbers by 10%, or 20% than the actual numbers, but Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest film, Jailer’s producers have done in a reverse way. Sun Pictures took to their official Twitter account and posted a picture of 375 CRS WW Gross.

While the box office trackers and several websites have reported that the film, Jailer has crossed more than 400 CRS Gross in its first week, the Producers underreported the number which is over the 40 CRS difference. The fans of Superstar Rajinikanth are very disappointed by the behavior of Sun Pictures.

The inside reports suggest that the official box office numbers given by Sun Pictures are said to exclude a few overseas territories, which is why the makers mentioned them as tentative and reported fewer numbers than the trackers nos.
