A big dilemma on Naveen Polishetty’s next project

Young Actor Naveen Polishety is all set to entertain the audiences through his latest film, Miss Shetty Mr. Polishettty. Meanwhile, Anaganaga Oka Raju, which should have been his next project, has been caught in a big dilemma right now. The film was announced in the year 2022.

Now this film is said to be shelved or in plans to change the director as the team is not happy with the output of the film. Kalyan Shankar was announced as the director of Anaganaga Oka Raju. He had previously worked in the direction team of Jathi Ratnalu. The film was announced with a title teaser, which was received with a superb response.

The shoot of Anaganaga Oka Raju was said to begin in mid-2022 but it had no progress back then. Sree Leela was selected as female lead and Thaman S was the music director. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya were the producers of the film under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas respectively. Vamsi Patchipulusu was handled the responsibility of the camera.

With Geetha Govindam, Vijay Devarakonda has created a positive brand in Tamil Nadu. Even after Geetha Govindam his next films despite being box-office failures managed to open with decent numbers. And now, something similar happened for the Kushi Tamil version as well. The film opened with 1Cr gross in Tamil Nadu and witnessed a big jump over day 2 and 3.

Over the course of the weekend, Kushi Tamil collected around Rs 5Cr gross in 1st weekend. Surprisingly after the weekend also the film maintained very strong hold and collected 7Cr+ gross till now. This is totally contrasting to what happened in Telugu states where the the film crashed after the weekend and saw a massive dip in occupancies all over AP & Telangana.

Kushi Tamil version is now expected to easily do double-digit gross in TN which is a very big achievement even for a big budget pan India film. Everyone was shocked by the postponement of Prabhas’ Salaar and disappointed the fans of Rebel Star who were hoping for a roaring comeback after a series of failures. Multiple speculations have been made about the new release date after the postponement news was out. Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha’s romantic family entertainer Kushi was released on September 1St and the film started well on its first day, Friday, but suffered a slight decline in its numbers due to the India-Pakistan cricket match. Thereafter, on Sunday, it showed some promise, but then the movie completely crashed on the weekdays.

Even though the numbers are low from Andhra Pradesh for the film, with the support of decent numbers in Nizam and extraordinary collections at overseas, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka the movie posted good numbers overall. The film has collected around 36.5Cr share worldwide including all version for 5 days. The pre business is at 53Cr and as of now the recovery stands at approx 70%. The film needs a big 2nd weekend to settle as average – Above average at the box office.

Sushi also stars Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Pradeep, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles. It is a pan-India release with it hitting the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Fans were eager to catch Vijay in a romantic role after a long time and with Samantha’s presence, there was greater curiosity as to how this pair will look on screen but Shiva Nirvana’s narration and film’s dip in tempo in the second half made the audience feel detached.
