Skanda completed censor formalities – Details here

Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu’s mass action entertainer Skanda, which was scheduled to be released on September 15th has postponed its release to two weeks. As the Pan Indian film of Prabhas, Salaar won’t be released on September 28, Skanda seized the opportunity to grab that date. Everyone is aware that the latest sensational actress Sree Leela is playing the female lead in the film. Now the latest news is that the film, Skanda completed censor formalities.

The movie got the required buzz from the trailer. Though the storyline is not revealed in the film, it looked like a perfect mass action treat. Now, as said above, the censor formalities for Skanda have been completed three weeks before its release.

Reportedly, the censor board gave the film U/A certificate. The update indicates that the film will last 167 minutes (2 hours and 47 minutes). The runtime of Boyapati’s previous film Akhanda was similar as well. While some fans really Ram are worrying that it is a bit lengthy but if the expected mass elements work well, the runtime would be not an issue.

Saiee Manjrekar will be seen in the second female role in Skanda. Srinivasaa Chitturi produced the film under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Thaman composed the music for the film Apart from Telugu, the film will also be available in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

The film has been released worldwide today and opened to a thunderous response all over the world. The fans and audiences loved the SRK’s performance in massy role, because of which the film has gathered excellent numbers across all languages. As said above, Jawan opened with a phenomenal start at the box office on day 1. It posted record numbers ever in all languages for a Bollywood film In India and the film is expected to open with 75 – 80Cr net India wide. The gross will be around 95Cr and at the overseas it is expected to open in the range of 5M$.

Overall, the film is expected to open with 135Cr gross and will comfortably break the previous record of SRK’s Pathaan (105Cr) by a 30Cr margin.

It is very well known to everyone that Kamal Haasan is currently working on ‘Indian 2’ with Director Shankar. The long-awaited sequel marks the reunion of Shankar and Kamal Haasan after many years, and the shooting of the film is almost completed. Director Shankar has been working on the post-production work of ‘Indian 2’ and has also traveled to the USA for an important operation recently. There was an interesting development regarding this film that it will be released in two parts. However, the team of Indian 2 is said to have cancelled those plans.

It was reported that Indian 2, the film’s footage, came almost around 6 hours. So Shankar and the makers had a thought of making the film into two parts, but Kamal Hassan was not at all interested in releasing the film in two parts, and he instructed the same to the Indian 2 team. Not only that, but he is also said to be involved in the editing works to trim the footage and now the team has decided to release the film in single part only.

Reportedly, many unwanted scenes and footage of the film is likely to be trimmed, and the plan is to make the runtime around 180 minutes. So it is certain that Kamal Haasan will get the job done as per his instructions.

Indian 2 has Kamal Haasan in the lead role with Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Guru Somasundaram, and Nedumudi Venu among others in crucial roles. The film is doing exceptionally well in all languages and is on its way to establishing several opening records in Bollywood.
