Tollywood Actor, Nani who recently met audiences with his Dasara and Hi Nanna is planning his next film with KGF Beauty, Srinidhi Shetty. The Actor is also busy shooting for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram directed by Vivek Athreya, produced by DVV Danayya. Now, his next with Srinidhi Shetty will be Hit 3.

Nani made a cameo appearance in the end of Hit 2 starring Adivi Sesh. Now he will star in Hit 3 as the lead role. Nani was also on the plan of starring in Sujeeth and Venu Sri Ram’s films but they were put on hold. Hit 1 and Hit 2 became popular hits and Nani acted as producers for them as well. So he would consider starring in Hit 3 first after finishing Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

His last film, Hi Nanna was an average grosser at the box office. Dasara too was an okayish result. He hopes to bounce back big with these two films. Saripodhaa Sanivaram making promo has been released recently as well. Priyanka Arul Mohan stars as the female lead in the film. Her character poster was also released where she portrays a female police role. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram release date is currently scheduled to be 29th August this year.

Dhanush to romance Tripti Dimri

Tamil Actor, Dhanush is currently busy with his film, Raayan. This film is also written and directed by him. The film’s censor formalities have been completed recently and is geared up for release on 26th July as well. Now, Dhanush is all set to romance Bollywood Beauty and happening Actress, Tripti Dimri.

Tripti Dimri rose to fame with her film, Animal. She received nationwide fame with the character she portrayed in the film alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Now she will star opposite Dhanush for a film directed by Anand L Rai. This film titled as Tere Ishq Mein will be Dhanush’s third collaboration with the Director after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. This film is touted to be an out and out love story film.

A.R. Rahman will also score music for the film. He had scored music for both Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re as well. The film’s shooting will be started soon. Dhanush is also busy working for his current film, Kubera co-starring Tollywood Actor, Nagarjuna directed by Sekhar Kammula. Both Dhanush and Nagarjuna had shot for the film in Mumbai recently. Rashmika plays a pivotal role in this film as well. Her glimpse from the film was also released recently.

Kamal Haasan appeared as centenarian in the recently released Indian 2. He reprised his role again as Senapathy in this sequel of Indian. The film released today and is getting trolled for many reasons. One of it is becasue of Kamal Haasan portraying a six pack look in the film. This is now going viral and also becoming a troll material.

In an action sequence in Indian 2, Kamal Haasan was seen portraying six pack where he bashes goons single handedly. Such type of action sequences would bring applause from the audiences but it looked different here. The scene is brutally getting trolled as it looked artificial and odd as well. An aged man portraying six pack wouldn’t look good for his age and the same happened here as well.

Netizens have already calling it cringe and trending it on social media platforms. On the other hand, Indian 2 is not getting good amount of applause and it looks the film may end up as a flop at the box office. The third part in the series, Indian 3 has already been announced and we have to see how things go with it. Indian 3 will release during this Christmas.

Anirudh fails to match A.R. Rahman

Indian 2 released today amidst great hype but the film didn’t meet the expectations as seen from the reviews. However there was one more thing that didn’t excite the audience much right from the beginning of Indian 2. That was Anirudh who replaced A.R. Rahman to score the music for the film. Everyone who has seen the film are trolling Anirudh for not repeating the magic of Indian in Indian 2. This indicates that Anirudh has failed to match A.R. Rahman’s standards.

When Anirudh came on board for the film, there was a mixed response from the audience as they didn’t expect it. A.R. Rahman served as one of the strong pillars for Indian. The songs and the BGM score he provided are considered classics still by the audiences. Anirudh didn’t continue the legacy and failed in scoring songs that could match to the level of both A.R. Rahman and Indian. Now, after the film’s release audience feel that the BGM too was not okay and didn’t even match 1/10th level of Rahman.

Indian 2 has opened with below par word of mouth and reviews from the early shows itself. Audiences feel that both Shankar and Anirudh failed in their aspects whereas Kamal Haasan is getting a bit of appreciation for his efforts. We have to see how Shankar deals the Indian 3 with this amount of negativity around Indian 2.

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas released amidst great hype and did wonders at the box office. The film had a great weekend performance and went on to repeat the same in the second weekend as well. The film has managed to gross more than 800 crores worldwide. Now, Kalki 2898 AD OTT streaming date is out. Kalki 2898 AD will be streaming from 23rd August. It is said that Telugu and South Indian languages Version will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and Hindi version on Netflix.

Kalki 2898 AD has already become Prabhas’ solo highest grosser apart from Baahubali Series and Salaar. Salaar grossed more than 600 crores worldwide and stood next to Baahubali series for Prabhas. Now Kalki 2898 AD looks to grab that spot. The film is also racing towards the 1000 crore club now. Indian 2 which released today looked to make a dent to the collections of Kalki 2898 AD. But Indian 2 receiving not so favourable reviews may help Kalki 2898 AD sail through the 1000 crore mark.

If this happens, Prabhas would become the only hero from Tollywood to have two 1000 crore films with Baahubali series and Kalki 2898 AD. Shah Rukh Khan too has managed to achieve this record with his Pathaan and Jawaan. Rajamouli also became the only director to have two 1000 crores in this list.

Shankar’s Bharateeyudu 2 has finally hit the screens worldwide. The film has failed to create a buzz as the makers hoped for with the trailer and promotional content not standing up to the expectations. The film is made on a massive budget and the makers are hoping that positive word of mouth will help the film sail through. Let’s see if the movie manages to create the positive talk or not

Story:

Freedom Fighter Senapathy (Kamal Haasan) fights against the corrupted individuals and system. He doesn’t even spare his son (Younger Kamal Haasan) in the first part and leaves India. He returns after 18 years to fight against corruption again which he calls his second freedom fight. The rest of the film showcases his fight against corruption and how he encourages the youth to take part in his fight.

Performances:

Kamal Haasan’s acting is solid as always but it’s his make up and prosthetics that take away from his performance. They are distracting and look quite unnatural. His look in the first part looked way better and its one of the major negatives of the film. Siddharth has a meaty role and does a decent job in his role as a youngster fighting against the system. The rest of the actors are fine with nothing major to talk about. SJ Suryah as the antagonist has a strong presence but the it appears to be a guest role with more scope and screentime in Indian 3

Analysis:

Bharateeyudu 2 has a patchy screenplay with multiple subplots and sequences stitched haphazardly. None of these sequences combine seamlessly to give the viewers a decent movie-going experience. Siddharth’s second-half plot is probably the only sub-plot that works well and may keep the viewers engaged and emotionally attached.
Anirudh’s music also doesn’t work at times. Except for the “Comeback Indian” song all other songs fail big time. Production and technical values are top-notch but don’t help the cause.

Verdict:

Shankar fails big time to deliver this time with the Blockbuster Bharateeyudu sequel. He couldn’t deliver his strongest areas like emotions and gripping narration this time.

Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s Bharateeyudu 2 failed to create an impact with the promotions and managed to create little excitement among the moviegoers. Despite being a blockbuster sequel, the promotions couldn’t lead to any anticipation impacting the film very badly.

The movie was released today and shockingly the film opened with below-par reviews from audiences. Everyone felt this was Shankar’s weakest film with no interesting scenes or emotional connection. The film starts well with corruption scenes and the comeback of Senapathy. However, post this, the film just goes downhill with no major high points or exciting scenes.

A few scenes work well in parts but those also failed to create an impact due to dragged screenplay and failure to excite the audience. Many felt that the film was unnecessarily divided into two parts as most of the parts were dragged and uninteresting. Poor writing and predictable screenplay also severely impacted the film.

Bharateeyudu 2 Cast and Crew

Shankar’s Bhaarateyudu 2 was also released in Hindi as Hindustani 2 while the original Tamil version is named Indian 2. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Films have bankrolled this big-budget project while Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs. Bharateeyudu 2 also stars Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Nedumudi Venu Rakul Preet Singh, in key roles.

Music Director, Anirudh Ravichander has worked for Indian 2 directed by Shankar. The film is releasing in few hours today worldwide. Anirudh has started a trend of posting reviews about his films through a tweet ahead of the films’ release. But this didn’t happen with Indian 2. Anirudh has tweeted a reply thanking both Shankar and A.R. Rahman now.

There were many doubts from people’s side about Anirudh’s silence about Indian 2. They felt that he was intentionally maintaining this silence because of film’s poor content. But he has not still posted the review but replied to a post of Shankar about Indian 2. Shankar posted a picture of him along with A.R. Rahman and Anirudh. Anirudh replied to this by thanking them. He also termed them as his inspirations.

Anirudh should have also mentioned about the film’s review through his tweet. We don’t know if this was intentional or a forgotten one. But let’s wish the team all the best for their efforts. Indian 2 will also have a third part, Indian 3. Anirudh would also act as the music composer for the third part. Indian 3 is being planned to be released during Christmas this year. The trailer of the film will also be released during the climax of Indian 2.

Indian 2, the current of Shankar is releasing today worldwide. The team has pinned high hopes on the film and also became busy with many promotional activities for the film. Shankar gave many interviews regarding the film and revealed an interesting aspect now. He said that the Indian 3 trailer will be revealed after the climax of Indian 2.

Shankar said that the trailer of Indian 3 will come after the climax scene of Indian 2. He said that it will be revealed during the credits. So this means that Shankar has planned something as a twist or suspense to continue it till the credits section. This is also a plan to hook the audience on to the next part after the film’s climax. Indian 3 trailer will be released afterwards as well. But this will be a big thump to the audiences.

Now that Indian 2 early premieres are completed, the Indian 3 trailer was played at the end of the film. The Indian 3 trailer focused mainly on Senapathy’s father set in 1800 backdrop, Veera Sekharan, and his freedom fight. Kajal is also shown as a freedom fighter. Kamal Haasan looks fabulous as Veera Sekharan, and the portions seem very emotional. However, since Indian 2 has opened to mixed reviews, it remains to be seen how people will show interest in Indian 3.

Indian 2 must work at Box office for Shankar to continue the momentum on to the next part. Indian 3 will release six months after the release of Indian 2. Indian 3 announced as early 2025 release. Indian 2 must deliver for Shankar and is definitely a decider for his fate through his upcoming films.
