The success of Kushi has put Vijay Deverakonda on cloud nine. The film was a crucial one for Vijay as he was returning to the big screens after the debacle of Liger. Similarly, it was also a much-needed hit for Samantha who recently delivered a flop in the form of Shaakuntalam.

During the success meet of Kushi, Vijay promised that he would donate Rs 1 crore towards the benefit of 100 families and help them out in distress. The actor has stood by his words and has now donated the amount as promised. He took to social media and shared the confirmation of this donation to 100 families.

On September 5th Vijay had requested fans and followers to apply for this amount through a link he shared. Based on the entries, 100 families were shortlisted whose names were shared on social media.

The Madhapur drugs case has gone through some major developments recently The name of hero Navdeep, who is already facing serious allegations in the Tollywood drug case, has once again come to the fore. Navdeep appearing for questioning in Tollywood drug case with Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand’s statement that he has been included in the consumer list has now become a hot topic of discussion.

Apart from Navadeep, 17 others were also absconding, as per the commissioner. Hero Navdeep reacted to CP’s comments yesterday. He said he did not run away anywhere and is present in Hyderabad. He also clarified that he had not received any notice from the Police in the case.

Navdeep approached the high court today saying he had nothing to do with the drugs case. He had approached the high court not to arrest him. With this, the bench reacted after hearing a petition filed by Navdeep and ordered he should not be arrested. With this, hero Navdeep got a huge relief in the drugs case.

Though Hero Navdeep has got a bit of relief as of now, he is still on the consumers list in the Madhapur drugs case. He has been named as the 29th accused in the case. Police said a notice will be issued to Navdeep asking him to appear for questioning. Along with the three Nigerians, Five others have been taken into custody by the Police. The Consumers list also features hero Navdeep’s close friend Ramchand.

In January next year, he will be performing at OVO Arena Wembley in London, the UK’s capital city, and he is set to take London by storm with his musical concert.

2023 has been a terrific year for Bollywood with 3 massive blockbusters creating massive waves at the box office. Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Jawan stood strong and created records everywhere. It all started with Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan which had record openings and massive collections with records in every territory.

This was followed by Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, a remake of his 2001 romantic action drama which was also a massive hit back in the day. Gadar 2, just like Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan crossed the Rs 500 crore share mark and is still running in the theatres. The film created a huge impact at the box-office and its victory run was slowed down by another Shahrukh Khan’s action thriller Jawan.

Within just 8 days of its run, Jawan has passed worldwide gross of Gadar 2. This is mainly a result of Jawan’s extraordinary performance overseas where Gadar 2 didn’t fare that well. Now top2 grossers of this year belong to Shahrukh Khan. Pathaan with around 1100Cr gross and Jawan is around 680Cr and running gross worldwide. Jawan has a great chance of surpassing Pathaan as well and emerging as the new Bollywood Industry Hit.

Jawan has reached the magic number of 650 crores Gross in just one week and created an all-time record first week in Bollywood. The film features King Khan in two roles – as an intelligence officer and a thief/vigilante. The movie was shot in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for the movie, which was backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s home production, Red Chillies Entertainments.

Story: Mark (Vishal), is a mechanic and the son of a gangster named Antony (again Vishal), stumbles upon a time-traveling phone invented by Chiranjeevi (Selva Raghavan) by chance. The telephone has the power to time travel, and Mark tries to save his estranged mother from dying. However, this attempt from him leads to chaotic altercation of events in his past. Will Mark be able to solve all the issues? Will Jacky Marthanda (SJ Suryah), and Madan Marthanda (again SJ Suryah) let Mark successful in his mission? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Performances: Vishal was good as Mark and Antony, the two titular roles. Especially he had some too good moments as Antony where he displays the comic and negative angles. SJ Suryah stands out with his outstanding performance in a dual role. He just sets the screen on fire by dominating all the others in whichever scene he appears. Sunil was good while Selva Raghavan, Ritu Varma, and Abhinaya were fine.

Vijay’s Leo is up for release next month and Lokesh Kanagaraj and the team are busy giving final touches to the project. Leo is the most awaited project in Kollywood at the moment and will mark the return of Vijay and Lokesh combo who earlier delivered a big hit with Master. TN government has actually decided to not allow any special shows on working days. A directive has been issued that the shows should start from 9 am only. All the recent movies followed the same including biggie like Rajinikanth’s Jailer. Vijay fans are not happy with this new arrangement and are demanding special shows for Leo. They are lashing against the government on social media for giving permission for special shows and are trending with hashtags.

Leao stars Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, and Trisha in the main roles. This film has been surrounded by a massive craze in both Telugu and Tamil languages and will be released in theaters on October 19, coinciding with the Ayudha Pooja weekend. Gautam Vasudev Menon, Arjun, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand are part of the supporting cast.

Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty which was released on September 7th has collected close to 18Cr worldwide share until now. The movie has performed exceptionally well in overseas and had a good impact in Telugu states.

Commercially the film is a hit, but compared to the performance of overseas, the numbers are ordinary in Telugu states. This might be due to the release date and low pre buzz affected the film as well. Now at this weekend there are no notable releases excluding the Tamil dubbed film, Mark Antony, so this extended weekend with Vinayaka Chavithi holiday advantage the film is expected to post good numbers that will be even more than the 1st weekend in Telugu states.

We will need to see how the movie will cash on the 2nd weekend. If it performs well on this weekend, then the movie will comfortably collect 30Cr share in its full run.

Naveen Polishetty’s comic timing and fresh performance, accompanied by good visuals and a fresh concept, were the key elements of the film’s success.
