Leo’s overseas advance bookings surpass 1.5M mark for opening day

Thalapathy’ Vijay’s upcoming action entertainer Leo is one of the most anticipated Kollywood movies of the year. There are massive expectations for this project, especially considering Lokesh Kanagaraj’s unbeaten run at the box-office. If the film manages to get a decent talk, trade experts are estimating Leo to beat Lokesh’s previous blockbuster, Vikram. The film is now setting new records with its Overseas advance bookings.

The sensational trend of Leo is continuing in Overseas bookings, day by day the range of the film is getting bigger. Despite the film’s trailer being not released wherever the bookings of the film have opened, the tickets are getting sold at a rapid pace. In North America [USA+Canada] the advance bookings for Leo premiers + day 1 is almost in the range of 700K$, while in UK, the advance bookings number is more than 300K£ with these two only the advance sales of Leo are more than 1M.

In UAE bookings have been opened recently and within no time advance bookings reached near to 150K, and in other countries like Germany, Norway, Australia, Malaysia the bookings opened in limited locations, but the numbers are in extraordinary range and the movie overall has crossed 1.5M+ only for day 1 which is a sensational feat and a massive opening is guaranteed for Leo in Overseas.

Another highlight of the movie is the return of the Vijay-Trisha combo after 15 long years. The duo last worked together in Kuruvi (2008). Leo is also a second collaboration between Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after Master. The film further features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautam Vasudev Menon, and Sandy in key roles with Anirudh Ravichander composing the tunes.

Today’s episode started with Gautam and Subhashree having a discussion about their friendship and Shivaji feeling frustrated because bigg boss did not give him coffee. After that, Bigg Boss released Tasty Teja from jail. Teja tried to compete with Yawar at gym and failed within minutes itself.

Thereafter, Bigg Boss gave a twist to the housemates by asking all the Power Astra’s back from them. Shivaji sang a satirical song when the housemates were giving their Power Astra’s to the bigg boss. Shobha was not okay with the satires of Shivaji.

Then Bigg Boss stated to the housemates that this is an ulta pulta season and that’s why their Power Astra’s have been taken back. He also instructed the contestants to select their best buddies in the house. Then bigg boss gave the contestants the first captaincy task which was named as “Gelipichedhi Mee Navve”.

Gautam and Subbu, Amar and Sandeep, Yawar and Teja, Priyanka and Shobha, Shivaji and Prashanth were the buddies and combined contenders for the captaincy task. The contestants did not understand the rules and had many confusions and arguments. Even Shobha and Yawar who were supposed to be Sanchaalaks had an argument.

Shobha and Yawar were unable to take decision, and they asked bigg boss himself to declare the winner. After that again Yawar changed his decision, but all contestants had argument over it. Yawar and Shobha announced the names of Gautam and Subbu, Amar and Sandeep, Shivaji and Prashanth, Priyanka and Shobha, Yawar and Teja pairs in the order of their task completion. The Bigg Boss’s decision will be announced tomorrow.

Most of the recently released films have faced great damage as the songs did not receive a good response. Out of 10 songs only one or two songs are being received well in the audience. And even if one song performs well, there is a huge burden on other songs also to perform well.

If these other songs do not click then the entire movie buzz falls. The makers need to reinvent their strategy and do something creative with the album. A case has been registered against the actor, writer, and director Posani Krishna Murali. He also happens to be the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation. The Police have filed a case against him on the orders of the Court. Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party leaders have lodged a complaint with the Raja Mahendra Varam Police Station over Posani Krishna Murali’s derogatory remarks against Pawan Kalyan.

However, the police did not respond to the matter at first and as a result, Jana Sena Party Leaders approached the Court. The Court heard their arguments and directed the Police to register a case against Posani Krishna Murali.

As per the court’s order, Raja Mahendra Varam Police have booked Posani Krishna Murali. A case has been registered under IPC sections 354, 355, 500, 504, 506, 5007 and 5009. Posani Krishna Murali’s followers are getting into a full-fledged argument on social media with Janasena supporters after a case was registered against him under various sections at the same time. On the other hand, YSRCP Leaders are also making comments that they are angry with Janasena Leaders.

This film is confirmed to be made in Two parts. Karna will be a big pan-India release in multiple languages and the team is looking to get actors from all industries in the Indian Cinema. An idea of Rakeysh’s vision to round up the film is already in place, and it is a matter of implementing the same thing is due now. The release of Chandramukhi 2 by P Vasu, featuring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut, on September 28th was met with excitement among the audience. Although the response to the film has been negative, Chandramukhi 2 is doing has performed decently at the worldwide box office in its extended 5-day weekend.

Despite all negativity, the film does well in Tamil language. In Tamil Nadu the film has collected 24Cr gross in 5 days, and in Telugu states the movie has received poor numbers with around 7.5Cr gross. In Kerala, the movie has collected 65L gross, Karnataka 2.25 Cr and the rest of India’s number is 1.6 Cr. The film has gathered total 36Cr Gross from India.

In Overseas the film opened with extraordinary numbers as in Malaysia, it collected more than 4Cr Gross and the other territories gross will be in the range of 4Cr approx. The Total Overseas Gross is around 8Cr and the worldwide gross of Chandramukhi 2 is at 44Cr, which is a decent weekend for the film at the box office.
