Madharaasi Weekend Collection Decent: Monday Bookings Disappoint

0

AR Murugadoss and Sivakarthikeyan’s action thriller Madharaasi was released in theaters on September 5 and received average reviews. The film’s weekend collections are decent, but the Monday bookings disappoint the trade.

The film held decently on the opening weekend despite average response with early estimates at 60 Cr gross collections worldwide, but the concern is tomorrow’s advances, which are very low.

For the valued business, the film needs to collect around 150 Cr gross to achieve the hit status. As of now, the recovery for the opening weekend is just 40%. The trade expected much better from the film.

So, it needs a very strong run till the 2nd weekend at least, but the Monday advances for Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi are very poor. The film needs strong walk-ins for a decent hold.
