0

Pawan Kalyan commits to finishing three ongoing projects. In those films, Hari Hara Veera Mallu just needs a few days, i.e., less than a week of shooting days. The team is waiting for these dates to complete the film, and because of his political duties, Pawan kept delaying the shoot. The latest report from the insiders suggests that Pawan Kalyan has given dates for Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG.

Finally, Pawan Kalyan sets dates for Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Reportedly, Kalyan is said to have allotted dates for the film this month, and definitely the film will not be released on March 28th as per the plan, and it is said that the makers are already in discussions to arrive in the April 2nd half or May 1st half.

With Pawan Kalyan allotting dates for this month, the team can release the film for summer, and it will be the only biggie for this summer. The fans of PSPK will be delighted to know that Pawan Kalyan has given dates for Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG.

Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG will also be completed in 2025

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is also said to have allocated dates for Sujeeth’s OG in the month of April. The movie’s team is planning to release the film around September. So, mostly, Pawan Kalyan will definitely have these two releases this year.

Pawan Kalyan’s OG Glimpse

Regarding Ustaad Bhagat Singh, there is no clue as of now, as the film needs a lot of shooting dates from PK, and he is actively busy in politics. He took a lot of time to give dates for HVHM and OG, with a lot of delays.

Mythri Movie Makers banner has already spent a very big amount for UBS’s two shooting schedules, pre-production, and remunerations.

SVSC Re-Release Day 2 Collections

0

SVSC (Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu) is having a good run at the box office upon its arrival in theaters this week. If we observe, most of the re-releases are limited to only opening day; only a few films perform for the weekend, and SVSC is one among those films. SVSC Re-Release Day 2 collections are too good.

SVSC shows a good hold on Day 2 at the Box Office

The family entertainer’s re-release collected a gross around 3 Cr on the 1st day, and on the second day also, it sees good occupancy in the theaters. The two-day gross estimates are more than 4 Cr worldwide, which is very good for a film that was originally released 12 years back.

SVSC Re-release is a Big Success

The good thing is, even for tomorrow, the film holds a good number of shows in many theaters. Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh’s SVSC (Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu) Re-Release Day 2 Collections are too good.

Mahesh Babu’s superstardom is once again displayed with this rerelease, and definitely the numbers could have been much higher if Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu had released on the right occasion.

But for this weekend, Chhaava’s Telugu version release and SVSC rerelease have given a breath to exhibitors, as many theaters are suffering with no occupancies.

Chhaava Telugu Day 2 Collections

0

After an excellent opening day, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava performs even better on its second day in Telugu. The film surprised everyone by collecting 3 Cr gross on Day 1, and it performed much bigger on Day 2, as it saw around a 30% jump in collections. Chhaava Telugu Day 2 collections are bigger and better.

Chhaava Roars in Telugu Too

On the 2nd day, the historical drama’s Telugu version’s gross is expected to be around 4 Cr, which takes the total collections to 7 Cr. Tomorrow, being Sunday, the film is expected to register its biggest day at the box office. Chhaava Telugu Day 2 collections are bigger and better.

A Hindi-dubbed film collecting a 10 Cr gross in the 1st weekend itself after a delayed release is a sensational achievement, and the film can even have a good long run going forward. However, the film’s evening and night shows on Sunday can be affected by ICT 2025 Final between India vs. New Zealand.

From the original release day itself, Telugu audiences continuously asked about the dubbed version’s release, and that anticipation is now resulting in box office numbers as well. Geetha Arts banner released the film in Telugu.

Pradeep Ranganathan Aims for Pan India

0

With just two films, director/hero Pradeep Ranganathan created a solid market in Tamil, and he also created a good market in Telugu as well. Both Love Today and Dragon, in which he played the lead role, achieved big successes in Telugu, and he established a good connection with Telugu audiences. Now, Pradeep Ranganathan aims for pan-India reach with Return of the Dragon.

Dragon is having another good weekend at the box office. Today it saw a very good jump in collections; it is certain that the film will join the 150 Cr club in its full run. After establishing in Telugu and Tamil markers, now Pradeep Ranganathan aims for pan-India reach with Return of the Dragon.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon sets out to Pan India Journey

This Holi weekend, Dragon is getting released in Hindi markets, and we need to see how Hindi audiences turn for this film. Sharing the Hindi release of the film, Pradeep tagged Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on X (Twitter) and said that he is arriving in Hindi, in a pun intended way.

The good thing that Pradeep Ranganathan is doing is not only selecting/doing good films but also establishing himself with all audiences and expanding his market as a hero.

Coolie Teaser Arriving

0

Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie is almost at the end of its shooting. Till now, the team has released character posters and a glimpse of Rajinikanth on his birthday. Also, the release date for the film is yet to be announced. Now, the latest news is that Coolie teaser is arriving.

Reportedly, the team finished the teaser work a few days back, and now Anirudh is also said to have completed the music work for the same. With this, the teaser is expected to come out this Holi weekend. Rajinikanth’s Coolie teaser is arriving, and the film’s theatrical release date is also expected to be announced with it.

Rajinikanth’s Coolie: Massive Expectations on Box Office Performance

The film has massive expectations already because of the Rajini – Lokesh Combination and the huge star cast. Also, the Telugu distributors are in race to get the total Telugu states rights of the film, and they are even ready to pay huge price.

With so much hype and excitementa round the film, if the teaser also works well, then the hype of the film will go to entirely a new level.

After shooting completion of this action thriller, Superstar Rajinikanth will join the shoot of Jailer 2 and Lokesh Kangaraj will work simulatenously on Coolie’s post-production and as well as Kaithi 2’s pre-production.

GV Prakash to Face Crores in Losses

0

GV Prakash, the renowned music director and actor of South Indian cinema, took a big risk with his latest movie, Kingston. In the film, he plays the lead hero, and he is also the producer of the movie. The movie was released yesterday in both Telugu and Tamil. Sadly, the film is on the way to becoming a big failure, and GV Prakash will face crores in losses.

Kingston: A Big Loss Venture for GV Prakash

Made as a sea adventure thriller, the film failed to open with good numbers in both Telugu and Tamil. The movie is said to have been made with a very high budget. Theatrically, it needs to generate big numbers, but given the poor opening and reviews, the recovery seems difficult.

The surprising thing is that Kingston could not even open with a 1 Cr start at the box office, which says how disastrous a start it is, and recovering from here is also not possible. Theatrically, the film will not return anything as expenses are not recovered.

GV Prakash will face crores in losses, as the film has been made with a big budget, and the theatrical returns are much needed. ZEE Studios is also one of the producers for this film. Let’s hope that the film finds some relief with the OTT deal.

Chhaava Telugu 1st Day Box Office Collections: Excellent

0

Chhaava opens with very good numbers in Telugu states, and the best thing is that there was an increase in collections with each show. The film was originally released in Hindi on February 14, and since then, Telugu audiences have wanted it to be released in Telugu. Finally, the makers released the Telugu version on March 7, and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava Telugu 1st Day Box Office collections are excellent.

Chhaava’s Telugu Version Opens to an Excellent Response

On the 1st day, the historical action drama collected close to 3 Cr gross in Telugu states, which is an excellent number for a Hindi dubbed film, and the trade believes that the Telugu version’s opening could have been much higher if it had simultaneously released as many people have already watched the Hindi version in Telugu states.

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava Telugu 1st Day Box Office collections are excellent, and even today’s advance bookings are promising for the film. The trade is expecting better collections than the opening day.

For the weekend, the film is expected to collect a double-digit gross collection in Telugu states, and we should wait and see how the film will perform after the weekend.

Kudumbasthan Movie Review: A Fun-Filled Entertainer

0

Movie: Kudumbasthan
Rating: 3/5
Cast: Manikandan, Saanve Megghana, Guru Somasundaran, R.Sundarrajan and others
Director: Jofin T. Chacko
Producer: Kavya Film Company, Ann Mega Media
Streaming On: Sony LIV

Manikandan, who received huge accolaces as an actor with films like Jai Bhim, Lover, Good Night, scored another hit with his latest film, Kudumbasthan. After impressing the theatrical audiences, this entertainer arrived on OTT. Let’s find out more about Kudumbasthan in our review.

Story:

Kudumbasthan follows the journey of Naveen (Manikandan) and Vennila (Saanve Megghana) as they choose to marry at a registrar’s office without their parents’ approval. Naveen’s family lets them stay in the house, but they do not embrace their marriage. Vennila, who aims to become an IAS officer, stands by Naveen despite facing criticism from her mother-in-law. The rest of the story is how Naveen manages the job of a family man with his professional career being in the doldrums.

Performances:

Manikandan is fantastic, and once again he pulls off a character that is impulsive yet lovable with great ease. Saanve Megghana is simply superb. Her performance in the emotional moments is worth mentioning. Guru Somasundaram is terrific as the irritating brother-in-law. R Sundarrajan, Kudassanad Kanakam and Nivethitha Rajappan also gave convincing performances.

Analysis:

Directed by Rajeshwar Kalismay, Kudumbasthan is a comedy film with a little touch of emotion here and there. The film’s middle-class family backdrop is depicted perfectly, and the hardships one faces while taking care of the family is shown well. The sequence where Naveen is hiding his joblessness and the episode where his friends mess up his plans adds to the humor, which is a major highlight of the film. One funny scene features Naveen talking to himself in the bathroom, guaranteed to make the viewers chuckle.

However, the film loses pace in the second half as Naveen’s issues become drawn out and feel repetitive. The comedic treatment of the wife’s ridicule doesn’t always land well, with some parts feeling off. But again, the momentum is brought back towards the last moments. The emotional outburst of Naveen at the pre-climax is good, and the following scene of comedy of errors journey to the hospital is hilarious.

Positives:

  • Performances
  • Entertainment
  • Last 20 Mins

Negatives:

  • Repetitive/Stretched Moments
  • Few Underdeveloped Scenes

Kudumbasthan Movie Review and Verdict:

Kudumbasthan is a fun-filled entertainer that has many enjoyable moments. Though it has some flaws like dragged moments and some weakly handled scenes, it engages for most of the parts with the help of convincing performances from Manikandan, Saanve Megghana, and others, along with humorous moments.

Rekhachitram Movie Review: A Well-Made Crime Thriller

0

Movie: Rekhachithram
Rating: 3/5
Cast: Asif Ali, Anaswara Rajan, Manoj K. Jayan, and others
Director: Jofin T. Chacko
Produced by: Kavya Film Company, Ann Mega Media
Streaming On: Sony LIV

Starring Asif Ali as the lead, Rekhachithram is the recent superhit movie from Malayalam Cinema that received good response from audiences and reviewers. The film is now streaming on Sony LIV in all South Indian languages. Scroll to read our review on this crime thriller.

Story:

An old man named Rajendran, feeling really guilty, admits to a crime he did 40 years ago and then takes his own life, sharing his confession on Facebook. A cop named Vivek, who has been suspended, is given the job of investigating this case. It leads him to discover some skeletal remains linked to a young woman named Rekha, who went missing during the filming of Mammootty’s movie Kathodu Kathoram back in 1985. Vivek tries to find out the truth and bring the killer to justice.

Performances:

Asif Ali does a good job in the character of Vivek. After Thalavan, he once again impresses with his portrayal of a police officer in a different setup. Anaswara Rajan shines and adds the required depth to the character/movie. Manoj K Jayan is good as the antagonist, while Indrans, Siddique, Zarin Shihab, Harisree Ashokan and others are also good.

Analysis:

Rekhachithram tells an imaginative tale about a murder connected to the events during the old Malayalam film Kathodu Kathoram’s shooting. It links the story to a nun who loves films and has gone missing, along with a cop who has been put on leave. It also has reference to the veteran Malayalam film personalities in the 80s like Sibi Malayalil, Bharathan, Jagadish, and John Paul.

The film starts on an intriguing note with the suicide scene and the investigation part also begins immediately. However, the process looks slow paced, and it moves with some ups and downs until the interval. But the second half works perfectly as the 1980 scenes along with the present-day moments, get linked correctly.

All the scenes that link the film industry and the journey of Rekha are fascinating. The scenes towards the end, where the little emotional touch between Rekha and Mammootty is shown, seems heartwarming.

Positives:

  • Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan’s Performance
  • Second Half
  • Climax

Negatives:

  • A Few Slow-Paced Moments in the First Half
  • Unstable Feel here and there

Rekachithram Movie Review and Verdict:

Rekhachithram is a well-made crime thriller. The film benefits from solid performances from Asif Ali, and Anaswara Rajan, along with a neatly enacted screenplay for most of the parts. Though some slow paced and inconsistent moments derail the feel for a while, it emerges as an engaging movie.

Laila OTT disappoints

0

Laila, starring Vishwak Sen, was released recently and became a big disaster at the box office. The film also received a great amount of trolling and criticism from the audience and reviewers. The team also opted for an early OTT streaming and is scheduled for the same on 7th March.

Aha Video officially announced a few days ago that the film will stream from 7th March. It was also expected to arrive on Amazon Prime Video. But Laila didn’t stream on both the platforms and this caused a big disappointment to fans and audience. There is also no update about the streaming platform of the film yet by the team.

Netizens have also demanded that the team clarify this. The film became a disaster and early OTT release would be useful. But if this gets dragged, they may lose interest in the film and the team must act fast in bringing the film to the OTT platform. Vishwak Sen has already issued an apology letter for going overboard with Laila. And we have to see if these scenes get removed from the OTT version.
