Balakrishna in Aavesham Remake?

Malayalam film, Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil became a blockbuster hit this year. The film instantly received a positive response from the audience and rocked the box office. So much so that Aavesham went on to gross more than 150 crores worldwide and became the career highest grosser for Fahadh Faasil in the lead role. Now, Tollywood Actor Balakrishna is rumoured to act in Aavesham Remake.

It is already known that Balakrishna and Harish Shankar have teamed up for their upcoming film. The shoot is expected to start from the March next year. It is also believed that they will be teaming up for Aavesham. Harish Shankar has been the remake-Director for years. He directed many remakes from other languages with several actors. So he might be dealing with it once again for the Veteran Actor.

Balakrishna who behaves as Real life Aavesham Star will be perfect for the role. Fans are also expecting to have a great time watching him portray the role. But it has to be seen if the news is true. Balakrishna is currently busy with his NBK109 directed by Bobby. The film’s glimpse has already released. The Actor will only move to Harish Shankar’s film after completing this.

Raayan beats Indian 2, becomes the leading Tamil Film of 2024

Raayan starring Dhanush released recently and did amazing in the first weekend. The film slowly gained the pace during the weekend as well. Now, it also performed extraordinarily in the second weekend at the box office. The total worldwide gross collections are close to 130 crores and the Tamil version alone stands close to 115 crores. With this, Raayan beats Indian 2 and becomes the leading Tamil Film of 2024 as well.

Indian 2 which released last month bombed at the box office with a unanimous negative response. The film’s Tamil version has collected a gross of 115 crores and the worldwide gross is around 150 crores which Raayan comfortably looks like beating. In 10 days of its run, Raayan broke Indian 2 Tamil version gross and became the highest Tamil grosser of 2024 officially.

By the next weekend, Raayan will officially join 150 crores gross worldwide and will also cross Indian 2’s all version gross. Raayan may also have the tag of Kollywood’s highest grosser of 2024. Dhanush who was looking for a big hit has finally tasted it with Raayan. Interestingly the film was his 50th one and directed by himself as well. It will be a memorable hit for Dhanush for a long time.

Manchu Vishnu, a prominent Telugu actor, is now filming his dream project, ‘Kannappa.’ With a star-studded ensemble, an ambitious vision, and a touch of mystery surrounding Prabhas’ role, ‘Kannappa’ is guaranteed to provide an excellent cinematic experience. The filming officially began in New Zealand’s forests.

Kannappa is an upcoming Telugu fantasy film directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. It is based on the story of Kannappa, a devotee of the Hindu god Shiva. Manchu Vishnu is aiming for a strong comeback with the success of this film.The film’s cast includes Mohan Babu, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Lal, Sarath Kumar, Madhubala, and Kajal Aggarwal. Apart from Telugu, the film will be dubbed in a number of other Indian languages, including Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. 

However, the biggest disadvantage of the film appears to be its low quality. Despite its star-studded cast and high budget, Kannappa movie fails to generate much buzz. The primary cause of this is poor promotional content. The movie trailer drew mixed reactions, and now the character reveal posters are being mocked. The movie team is constantly releasing posters featuring famous actors and their parts in the film. However, the poor design and lack of content in these posters are spoiling the buzz surrounding the film.

Pushpa 2 Makers: No postponement this time

Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun has been in the making for a long time. The current release date scheduled is December 6th this year. There have been continuous rumours that Pushpa 2 will be postponed to Summer 2025. But the makers have denied this and there will be no postponement for Pushpa 2 this time.

Many films are in the pipeline aiming to release in the December month if Pushpa 2 gets postponed. But the team and makers of Pushpa 2 don’t want to miss the release date. The climax shoot is reportedly happening now as per sources. Bunny Vas confirmed recently that the entire shoot will be wrapped up by the end of September. The team then will focus on promotional activities and post-production works.

Pushpa 2 will have a wide release all over the country. Pushpa became a blockbuster in the North Indian Market and brought much craze to the lead Actor, Allu Arjun. He received National Award for his performance in the film as well. He alongwith the team are looking to repeat the magic again. Two songs from the film have already been released which echoed well with audience. The teaser and trailer will further increase the hype of the film ahead of the release on December 6th.

Vijay Deverakonda criticized for his stand on Debut Directors

Tollywood Actor, Vijay Deverakonda is one of the craziest stars out there. The Actor often invites controversy upon him with his bold statements. Vijay Deverakonda during his recent Family Star promotions said that he was not willing to work with Debut Directors anymore. He said they had to be atleast a year-old experienced for him to consider giving a chance. Vijay Deverakonda now has been getting criticized for his comments and stand on Debut Directors.

While Deverakonda opined that he doesn’t rely on Debut Directors though he attained stardom with the help of such Debut Directors, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Tharun Bhasker. Nani, another Tier 2 Actor is making full use of such Debut Directors and scoring hits by getting criticial acclaim as well.

Nani’s Debut Directors, Srikanth Odela and Shouryuv received Best Debut Directors Award in the recent Filmfare Awards as well. Netizens are pointing out to the judgement call of Nani on Debut Directors and criticizing Vijay Deverakonda’s sharp comments.

There will obviously be a risk giving chance to Debutants but Actors must take responsibility in shaping them up properly which Nani is doing. But Vijay Devarakonda looks like wanting to work only with Top league Directors which looks too selfish. The Actor is currently looking to give a big comeback with his upcoming film. Ajith and Prashant Neel collaboration confirmed

Few days ago, rumours rolled in on social media claiming a possible collaboration between Tamil Actor, Ajith and Director Prashant Neel. This was even speculated to be for a film in KGF Franchise. But later, Hombale Films condemned the rumours. But now, Ajith and Prashant Neel’s collaboration has been confirmed as per sources.

Kollywood Media and some industry people have confirmed the news of Ajith and Prashant Neel’s combo getting finalised. This film is said to be Ajith’s 64th film. The industry is so happy right now with the combo as it will be one of the biggest Pan Indian films from their Industry. It remains to be known if the film will be a part of KGF Franchise or a separate one.

As per some media sources, The first part of the film will be a standalone one and the second part will become a part of Prashant Neel Universe which leads into KGF Chapter 3. Official announcement regarding this will be out soon. If this happens, then fans of Ajith have something to rejoice badly as they were not okay with his films’ choice. He is currently working for Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly. Ajith might start working after these two films.

Filmfare Awards South 2024 event has happened yesterday. Many stars from all over the South Industries attended the event. Tollywood stars Nani and others too attended and received their awards in the respective segments. But what caught many people’s attention and stood as the moment of the Filmfare Awards was Nani awarding his two Debut Directors.

Nani worked under the direction of two debutants last year. Srikanth Odela and Shouryuv were the directors who directed Dasara and Hi Nanna starring Nani in the lead role. Now, interestingly both shared the Best Debut Director Award in the Filmfare Awards. This was an interesting incident and never happened before. Nani too achieved the Best Actor Award for his performance in Dasara.

There were many doubts before the release of Dasara as high budget was spent on the film. Many feared about the outcome of the result of the film since it was handled by a Debutant. But the same film earned Nani the Best Actor Award. On the workfront, Nani is currently working for his Saripodhaa Sanivaaram under the direction of Vivek Athreya who earlier directed Ante Sundaraniki. Ante Sundaraniki bombed at the box office and ended up as a disaster. But Nani gave one more chance to the director interestingly.

Ilaiyaraaja victory over Manjummel Boys: Gets 60 lakhs in pocket

Recently released Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys became an Industry hit in Mollywood by grossing more than 200 crores worldwide. Manjummel Boys centered around a Tamil film, Gunaa and its song composed by Ilaiyaraaja. However, Ilaiyaraaja took an objection to this claiming that the song was used without his permission and went to the court. No Ilaiyaraaja gets his victory over Manjummel Boys and gets 60 lakhs into the pocket as compensation.

Manjummel Boys deals with resucing a guy who falls into a cave which became famous with Tamil film, Gunaa. The team wanted to cash in on the popularity of Gunaa and used a hit song from the film, Kanmani Anbodu composed by Ilaiyaraaja. But it looks they didn’t take the rights of the song properly. The film released and became a big hit. This angered Ilaiyaraaja who immediately went to court and sought compensation for using his song.

The Music Director initially demanded a whopping 2 crores as compensation. But after multiple discussions, the amount was reduced to 60 Lakhs which the team of Manjummel Boys should pay. It is learned that the team has paid the amount to Ilaiyaraaja. It could have been good if they had brought the rights before to avoid paying this hefty amount.

Mahesh Babu spotted at AMB Cinemas with stunning beard look

Tollywood Actor, Mahesh Babu is currently preparing himself for his upcoming film, SSMB 29 directed by SS Rajamouli. The Actor lastly met audience with his Guntur Kaaram this Sankranthi which did just average at the box office. He is changing his physicality for his upcoming film which is becoming evident when he comes out. Mahesh Babu was spotted at AMB Cinemas with a stunning beard look yesterday. He watched Deadpool & Wolverine alongwith his family in the theatre.

The Actor wore a cap and sweat-shirt and came along with his family. He almost looked unrecognizable with his heavy beard and long hair. Everyone knows that it would be for his upcoming film. This film, not yet titled will be made on a large scale and touted to be a globe-trotting adventure set in the forests. Currently, the post production works are going on. Script work of the film is also said to be finished by Rajamouli’s father, V. Vijayendra Prasad.

SSM29 will go on floors anytime soon this year. The film will take atleast two years of making before the release. Rajamouli is roping in few of Hollywood’s reputed studios for the film to have international audiences. Recently, Netflix released a documentary on him as well.
