Now, hardly a day is left for the massive box office clash between Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2. Both films’ bookings have been opened, and Coolie outperforms War 2 in the Telugu states.

Wherever the advance bookings have been opened for both films, for example, overseas, Coolie takes a big lead over the War sequel, and the latter did not even give minimal competition to the former.

Coolie Dominates War 2 In Ticket Bookings Everywhere

In Hindi, no one expected that Coolie would see some advance bookings, but it is trending towards the 7 Cr net range, whereas War 2, which was expected to take 50 Cr+, falls to the 30 Cr range.

Everyone expected that in Telugu states, the scenario would be reversed, but Coolie outperforms War 2 in Telugu states too, in advance bookings. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial sees a rampage of advance bookings, much like an event film.

The occupancies are already hitting housefuls for Coolie, as it shows the big domination. Now War 2 really needs a better WOM than its competitor to take the lead, and the lead is a must, as the spy action drama’s business is double that of Rajinikanth’s film in the Telugu states.

Anirudh Ravichander is the number one music director of South Indian cinema. The rocking musician is all set to make fans go crazy with his songs/background score in Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Anirudh also expressed his desire for Coolie 2.

Back in the day, whenever a movie he worked on was about to drop, star music director Anirudh Ravichander would hop on X (Twitter) a few days before and share his ’emoji review’ filled with fire and trophy emojis.

Lately, Anirudh stopped his emoji reviews, as he felt that the public was becoming too dependent on his posts/reviews.

Fans started to worry about the box office performance of Coolie since Anirudh did not drop any emoji review for his idol, Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming gangster flick. A lot of people think Anirudh is not sure about Coolie’s success.

Anirudh just cleared up all the rumors with a single comment. Last night in Mumbai, Anirudh did a live emoji review for Coolie’s Hindi audio album at the Spotify event. “10 Cups and 10 Fires for Coolie,” said Anirudh, which made Rajini fans happy.

Everyone is talking about Ani’s live review for Coolie online. He mentioned that he really enjoyed Coolie and is hoping for a sequel down the line.

Anirudh hints at a sequel to Coolie

“As a fan, I can’t wait to watch the first day, first show of Coolie. I know we can’t get this time back again. But I also really hope the film does great and we reunite for Coolie 2.”

These words from the music director hint that there is definitely a lead or chance for the sequel to Coolie.

Pan-Indian star Prabhas has raised the box office bar with his films after the mammoth Baahubali series. The actor stands as the only hero in Indian cinema to score a hat-trick of 100 Cr+ openers.

Adipurush, Salaar, and Kalki opened with a 100 Cr+ start at the box office, which is a unique record for the Indian heroes. Now, NTR is on the way to becoming the next hero to do this after Prabhas with War 2.

Tarak’s last two films, Devara and RRR, opened with more than 100 Cr at the box office, and if War 2 opens with 100 Cr+, then NTR will join the elite club.

Coolie and War 2: Ticket Hikes request rejected by the Telangana government

There were a few reports about the biggies receiving a hike of 75 Rs in TG single screens and multiplex screens, which led to an uproar on social media, as the netizens believed that both films do not deserve the hike in ticket prices.

The claim that the movie teams themselves took a step back is said to be untrue. The government was reportedly not convinced about the hikes even after many discussions

Also, if we look at the business, both movies do not need any hike in ticket prices, as NTR and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2’s business in Telangana is 35 Cr, and Rajnikanth’s Coolie’s business is around 20 Cr.

So, these two films can recover their business amount with existing GO prices even on the 1st week itself if WOM is positive.
