0

Three years after being wed in a lavish ceremony in Udaipur to Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, Niharika Konidela decided to get divorced in 2023. The couple has stayed away from making any comments about their decision to divorce, except by making a public announcement about it. The actor-producer has now openly discussed her divorce and disclosed the difficult experiences she had.

In a recent interview, Niharika opened up on her experiences and said, “Marriage is a big institution, and irrespective of economic or cultural status, it is a big journey for everyone. Be it a Udaipur or a registered wedding, no one spends a bomb just to part
ways in a couple of years”

Niharika further revealed how the phase was extremely challenging. She said her family stood by her by providing strength and understanding.

“Many people write bad things, but I have a close circle of friends and family, and all that matters to me is what they think. So, I never cared about what other people think about me,” said Niharika.

On a snippet of the interview posted on social media, Chaitanya Jonnalagadda commented on the interview and while he supported his ex-wife for her statements, Chaitanya also spoke his mind. “I truly appreciate the effort you have made in trying to ward away the unfair negativity on Niharika that is going on lately. I know it is not easy to face it in tandem with dealing with a personal crisis.

In a long Intagram comment Chaitanya also suggested the media to stop tagging people as a ‘victim’ or ’cause’. He suggested people to not speculate and speak about things without knowing two-sides of the story.

Fighter witnesses a massive jump on Republic Day. It is widely known that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter was released in theaters worldwide yesterday. Though the advances for the film were weak, and the trade expected the film to have poor openings, it had a decent Day 1. Coming to the Day 2 Box Office performance, Fighter witnesses a massive jump on Republic Day.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter has opened with 24Cr Net n 1st day in India. The Night Shows said to have worked well with massive walk-in audiences as the film received positive talk.

Today the film is said to have witnessed an 80% jump over the first day, registering excellent occupancies. The early trends suggest it to collect a minimum 40Cr Net on Day 2, and it might even go close to 45Cr Net. This is a good jump which has been possible because of positive reviews and national holiday working well for the film.

The film should maintain the same range of collections for the next 2 days to post big numbers in India. Overseas starts on a disappointing note as the film collected just around 1 Million on opening day. It should take a bigger jump for the weekend. The ban in Middle East Countries has also affected overseas numbers.

Made as the India’s first-ever Aerial Action Drama, Fighter movie has well mixed patriotic and action elements. Despite the predictable setup, the action episodes worked for the film along with family emotions.

Guntur Kaaram movie records decent occupancies on Republic Day. Though the film dropped after the second weekend, and everyone thinking that the film’s run was over, the film will be able to get some considerable numbers today. Guntur Kaaram movie records decent occupancies on Republic Day.

With a national holiday advantage, Guntur Kaaram sees Decent — Good occupancies on Republic Day, but definitely the entire credit for this goes to the Mahesh Babu’s brand in families.

The Superstar’s brand pulls the audiences towards the theaters despite the film getting negative WOM and reviews in Sankranthi holidays and saves the buyers and producers from facing a disastrous result. Even after festival days, the film did get good occupancies on the 2nd weekend and on Republic Day it sees good occupancies again.

Normally, films will crash on the 2nd day or after 1st weekend if they get negative WOM. But Guntur Kaaram still putting numbers with such talk is absolutely remarkable. Mahesh Babu is consistently doing this as he puts the numbers beyond the expectations of trade circles. The film is likely to go near 90% recovery worldwide if this weekend holds like the same as today.

Dil Raju Leads Film Chamber To Fulfil Promise: Eagle Set for Solo Release

0

This year for Sankranthi, there were as many as 6 releases. Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star moved out first; later, other producers convinced Ravi Teja’s Eagle producers to postpone their film from Sankranthi race. For doing so, the film Chamber promised Eagle producers a solo release and they talked to DJ Tillu’s producer who later pushed their date from February 9th to March 29th.

But the mistake they made is forgetting Ooru Peru Bairavakona was also slated for the same 9th Feb release that Eagle was eyeing. The makers of the Sandeep Kishan project initially refused to postpone their film to give Eagle a solo release. But it appears that the Film Chamber has convinced Ooru Peru Bariavakona team and the movie is set to release on 16th February now.

Eagle will have a solo release in Telugu films and while Yatra 2 is releasing on 8th Feb, it is a political film and Eagle makers do not have any issues with that. Lal Salaam is a multilingual release so they can not postpone. But definitely, Eagle is now the 1st preference for audiences and Ooru Peru Bairavakona postponement has helped them immensely.

Now on 16th February, Operation Valentaine has also announced its arrival. Whether Operation Valentineis postpones itself for Ooru Peru Bairavakona needs to be seen.

Thaman Not to Blame: Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s Misstep in Guntur Kaaram Music

0

Thaman not to be blamed for Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s Misstep in Guntur Kaaram’s Music. It is widely known that from the pre-release days itself, music director Thaman has received a big criticism for his songs not being up to the mark and even on opening day his BGM, Sound Mixing and Songs received mixed response.

But practically the sound mixing issues have emerged mainly due to the delay in the shoot and not giving enough time for Thaman in post-production. Also Thaman has definitely scored a good album, but the way singles were released was wrong.

It was a bad decision by the makers of Guntur Kaaram in selecting the songs. After Dum Masala song they should have released Amma Song (which is not present in the film) followed by Kurchi Madathapetti, and Mama Enthaina song. But they have released Oh My Baby song, which was unnecessary before the release.

Ramana Ey song has beautifully worked in the film. The team has not released Amma Song, and shockingly they did not even put that in the movie and today when it got released the fans and audiences were frustrated after listening to the song.

Amma Song from Guntur Kaaram

They are still in shock as how could the makers of Guntur Kaaram have removed such an emotional song from the film. This song should have been released before, which could have created the right buzz for the film.

Now fans and audiences have understood that the music director Thaman did a good job and the main blame should go to Mahesh Babu and Trivikram for portraying the film in differently. Releasing different promotional content and wrong songs release order, removing the important Amma song from the film, both Mahesh Babu and Trivikram should be blamed for all these decisions.

The film has faced many issues during the shooting stage as Mahesh Babu and Trivikram continuously changed things and shuffled the promotional content, which resulted in a half-baked product despite the movie having good story line and emotions. With continuous shooting hurdles and not spending proper time on important aspects like Shooting, and Post production which resulted in the weakest film in their combination.

Captain Miller Review: Sincere but Imperfect

0

Movie: Captain Miller
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast: Dhanush, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Nivedita Satish, Elango Kumaravel, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan and others
Director: Arun Matheswaran
Produced By: Sendhil Tyagarajan
Release Date: 26th January 2024

Dhanush’s latest Periodic action drama, Captain Miller, was released on Pongal and became a good hit at the box office. Two weeks after its original release, the film has been released in the Telugu states. Captain Miller turns out to be a sincere but imperfect take.

Story: The film revolves around Agnishwar/Captain Miller (Dhanush) and his struggle against the oppression imposed by the upper caste people in the village, along with facing the British. The story primarily focuses on the circumstances that led to a reward being placed on his head and how he confronts the enemies and withstands the battle.

Performances: Dhanush portrays the intense role with great finesse, effortlessly shouldering the film’s weight. His performance strikes the perfect balance, meeting the requirements of the character without going overboard. Elango Kumaravel was effective, while Shiva Rajkumar and Sundeep Kishan were good in crucial cameos. Priyanka Arul Mohan, Nivedita Satish, John Kukken, Jayaprakash, and others were appropriate. The actors who portrayed the British roles in the film executed their parts effectively.

Captain Miller First Half Review:

The opening of the film effectively establishes the atmosphere, depicting the oppression in the village, the insults, and a devastating attack on freedom fighters by Indian soldiers under the command of British officers. Though nothing new in the proceedings, some sequences bring out the emotions well. The back-and-forth narration shows the film chapter-wise and the interval sequence works well with a superb action episode.

Captain Miller Second Half Review:

The latter half attempts to spike up the emotions, but the repetitive feel and flat narration hinder the impact of most of the proceedings. The pain of villagers and their bonding with Dhanush could have been explored better. However, the last thirty minutes, filled with mad maxx-like gunfire, successfully provided some high moments. Because of the final moments, the film raises the anticipation levels and ends with a lead to the second part.

Positives:

  • Dhanush’s Performance
  • Few Dialogues/Scenes
  • Action Episodes
  • Background Score

Negatives:

  • Dull Narration
  • Lack of Strong Emotions
  • Repetitive plot/setup

Captain Movie Review and Verdict:

Captain Miller is a sincere but imperfect take. Dhanush’s intense performance, GV Prakash’s background music, action episodes, and a few powerful moments work for the film, whereas the dull and flat taking at times and repetitiveness in scenes work against the director’s intention.
