Fighter witnesses a massive jump on Republic Day. It is widely known that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter was released in theaters worldwide yesterday. Though the advances for the film were weak, and the trade expected the film to have poor openings, it had a decent Day 1. Coming to the Day 2 Box Office performance, Fighter witnesses a massive jump on Republic Day.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter has opened with 24Cr Net n 1st day in India. The Night Shows said to have worked well with massive walk-in audiences as the film received positive talk.

Today the film is said to have witnessed an 80% jump over the first day, registering excellent occupancies. The early trends suggest it to collect a minimum 40Cr Net on Day 2, and it might even go close to 45Cr Net. This is a good jump which has been possible because of positive reviews and national holiday working well for the film.

The film should maintain the same range of collections for the next 2 days to post big numbers in India. Overseas starts on a disappointing note as the film collected just around 1 Million on opening day. It should take a bigger jump for the weekend. The ban in Middle East Countries has also affected overseas numbers.

Made as the India’s first-ever Aerial Action Drama, Fighter movie has well mixed patriotic and action elements. Despite the predictable setup, the action episodes worked for the film along with family emotions.
