Eagle OTT Release: Arriving on Two Streaming Platforms

The movie ‘Eagle’ was released in theaters on February 9th and opened to mixed reviews. It failed to generate much buzz, so the mixed word-of-mouth and unfavorable release season did not contribute to good box office numbers. The movie only managed to recover 50% of its theatrical business and ended up as a heavy loss venture for buyers.

However, a section of the audience liked the film for its stylish action and direction. Many are interested in watching the film on OTT platforms and are eagerly awaiting its release.

Eagle OTT Release:

A few days ago, ETV Win officially announced its partnership as the streaming partner for the film. Now, the movie is also arriving on another streaming platform. It will stream on both ETV Win and Amazon Prime Video, with the OTT release date set for March 8th.

The team has announced a sequel, giving a bigger lead to the second part. However, since the first part did not perform well theatrically, they are banking on a big response from OTT audiences. Prime Video is expected to stream the film in all languages, which could potentially work for audiences in other languages and increase the chances of a sequel.

Premalu Telugu version releasing in Theatres

Girish A.D’s romantic drama Premalu is on a golden spree at the box office, continuing its excellent box-office performance across territories. Premalu has emerged as a sensational blockbuster in Malayalam and the movie has collected more than 65Cr gross till now and still running with super strong numbers. The film is now all set to release in Telugu. 

The dubbing works are happening now and the makers are planning to release the 8th March release on Shivaratri weekend. Interestingly, on the same day, Gopichand’s Bheema and Vishwak Sen’s Gaami are also releasing on thetares. Premalu has a good buzz in audiences already and it’s expected to open with good numbers. Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya is releasing the film in Telugu.

‘Premalu’, which boasts an ensemble cast featuring Naslen, Mamitha Baiju, Althaf Salim, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Akhila Bhargavan in key roles, clicked well with the audience, especially the young generation.

Despite the arrival of new releases, Mammootty’s ‘Bramayugam’ and ‘Manjummel Boys’, Girish AD’s directorial continues to bring audiences to the theaters. Together, the three movies Premalu, Bramayugam and Manjummel Boys have emerged as massive blockbusters and given Malayalam film industry record breaking numbers.

Mega Prince Varun Tej’s most awaited Airforce actioner ‘Operation Valentine’ will have a grand release worldwide on March 1st in Telugu and Hindi languages. Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, the film is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sandeep Mudda’s Renaissance Pictures. It is co-produced by God Bless Entertainment (Vakeel Khan), and Nandakumar Abbineni. The movie has high expectations as the teaser and trailer promotion content impressed the audience. The film unit organized a massive pre-release event that was a huge success with crowd coming in big numbers. Padma Vibhushan Megastar Chiranjeevi was the chief guest for the pre-release event which was also attended by a few other guests.

Speaking at the event, Megastar Chiranjeevi said, “I feel proud to attend this event, given this patriotic film is about India’s strong counter to the Pulwama Attack incident. Shakti who made the movie on a moderate budget with such grand visuals is an inspiration for upcoming filmmakers. As the incident took place on February 14, I felt very sensible when Varun said that the name of the film was ‘Operation Valentine’. Director Shakti Pratap did not come here with the intention that there are opportunities in Telugu, there will be good remuneration and he can settle down as a commercial director. He made a short film on surgical strike at his own expense of around five lakhs. The Indian Air Force was surprised to see it. Officials encouraged him saying that they will provide more information if he makes a film. This content is amazing with the information they gave. I was informed that the movie has come out well. Films like Operation Valentine need to be encouraged. Varun Tej is showing his versatility by picking different scripts. This, I think, is the first Telugu movie on airstrikes”.

Varun Tej said, “Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the occasion and it means the world to us. Shakti Pratap is a very passionate filmmaker who is going to show the heroics of Indian Air Force officials in the movie. While we do our best to protect our families, the soldiers sacrifice many things and fight for the nation at the border. Operation Valentine is a small chapter to portray their greatness. Aha is one of the premiere Telugu OTT platforms launched in 2020. It is a jointly owned venture between Arha Media and Broadcasting Private Limited (headed by Allu Aravind) My Home Group. After the success of Aha Telugu, Aha Tamil was launched in 2022.

It’s a known fact that digital streaming platforms are having tough times financially. Despite massive viewership numbers the OTT platforms are unable to make big profits due to high prices of content. This includes movies, web series, and some other shows. Aha team invested a lot to get massive viewership and came up with Balakrishna’s Unstoppable show and many other shows as their original productions.

But now, the team is said to losing interest in handling the OTT platform due to the high risk factor involved. Aha Video is limited to small films only while other medium-budget films and big-budget films are grabbed by big platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney + Hotstar, and Zee5. Apart from this Aha’s subscription price is very less compared to other OTT platforms making the operations quite tough.

They are reportedly unable to take big risks and unable to make profits. Due to these limitations, the team is now planning to sell the platform. Discussions have already started with Sony Network, Sun Network, and some giant vendors.

Gaami is a man’s journey through the impossible and the unknown to conquer his fear. So, get ready to experience the intimate saga at the grandest scale. While the teaser and songs unveiled the core theme of the movie, the trailer is going to show the incredible journey of the protagonist. Devara is a highly anticipated pan-Indian film being made on a massive budget and a grand scale. The movie was first planned for the 5th of April release. But, due to the pending shoot, the movie was postponed to the 10th of October release. The movie shoot part is almost completed, excluding songs. The song shoot is said to be planned from March and Koratala Siva has okayed the songs for the film.

A total of 4 songs are said to be remaining to shoot which also includes a romantic song featuring NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Of late, has not done many romantic songs and fans are excited to see how this turns out. NTR is playing a dual role of father and son in Devara with Anirudh composing the music. Prabhas as Lord Vishnu: Nag Ashwin Hints in Kalki 2989 AD

Kalki 2898 AD is the next big pan-Indian film from Tollywood and is the biggest-budget film in Indian cinema. The film is planned as a multi-part series and features a huge star cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Dulquer Salmaan, and many more stars in crucial cameo roles.

There has been heavy buzz that the film is based on the Hindu epics, particularly the story of Kalki, the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, who is prophesied to arrive at the end of Kali Yuga to destroy evil. According to the epics, seven Chiranjeevis like Ashwatthama, Parashurama, and Hanuman and others are still living and waiting for Kalki.

Nag Ashwin officially revealed the theme of the film in a latest media interaction, stating that it will start in the Mahabharata period and end in 2898. Hence, the title ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was chosen.

While Prabhas as Kalki, the avatar of Vishnu, was not directly revealed, it was indirectly hinted at. This epic storyline is expected to shake the Indian box office. The team plans to start full promotions in March, with the trailer expected to be released in the first week of April. The film is announced for release on May 9th.
