Indian 2 Box Office: Two Epic Targets

The first part of “Indian” was a sensational blockbuster across India, working well in all languages. Now, “Indian 2” is set to release this May. The movie aims for two box office targets: one is to become the Kollywood industry hit, and the second is to reach the 1000Cr mark.

Kollywood eagerly awaits a film that succeeds in all languages. “2PointO” is the current industry hit of Kollywood, grossing 700Cr. While the movie performed exceptionally well in Hindi and Telugu, it didn’t fare as well in Tamil. This was why it fell short of the 1000Cr mark. Films like “Leo,” “Jailer,” and “Ponniyin Selvan” didn’t perform well in the northern markets, with “Ponniyin Selvan” being limited to Tamil markets only. Consequently, Kollywood is yet to produce a 1000Cr grosser. Tollywood has achieved this feat twice, and Sandalwood once.

Kollywood is hopeful that “Indian 2” has a chance because it has the potential to work well in all languages if it matches the range of the first part. The film must succeed in all languages, especially considering it’s part of a series, with “Indian 3” to follow. Shankar has two targets with “Indian 2”: to surpass “2PointO” and become the Kollywood industry hit, and to reach the 1000Cr mark. The team plans to release a teaser with the release date in early March. The entire Telugu states business is already closed.

After Fighter, Article 370 gets banned

Article 370 directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale was released last weekend and is doing well at the Box office. The movie collected 25Cr nett in India on 1st weekend and the worldwide gross is 34 Cr. The film received unanimous positive reviews and good Box office numbers with domestic collections bringing in a huge smile on the maker’s face.

While domestically the film is doing exceptionally well, the film has now faced a roadblock in its overseas business. Article 370 has been banned in Gulf countries. The reasons for the ban have not been shared by the authorities. The Gulf ban is yet another setback for the Bollywood industry after Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter which was also banned in the region for its anti-Pakistan stance.

The Gulf country’s censor is quite strict and will not allow movies that portray any religion or country in a bad light as there is a sizable population of people from all the countries living and working in the region. Article 370, just like Fighter deals with India–Pakistan border issues. The Pulwama attack and Balakot airstrike in 2019 are at the core of the Siddharth Anand directorial.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 stars Priyamani, Arun Govil, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Koul, KiranKarmarkar. The film revolves around counter-terrorism efforts in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. The film was also boosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appreciation for showcasing the true story of the Kashmir insurgency and events that followed the change of status of Jammu & Kashmir in 2019.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu makers officially announce a special promo that will release in a few days. Buzz is that the promo will release on Maha Shivaratri. Recently, Producer AM Ratnam revealed details about the film. He said I does want to make only money with the Pawan Kalyan film. I want the film to also elevate Pawan Kalyan as a pan-India star, and it should help Pawan Kalyan’s career. He said that Hari Hara Veera Mallu is such a film, and it will be released in two parts. 

Pawan Kalyan is likely to join the shooting sets from this may. Firstly he will finish OG’s shooting balance, Which was announced for 27th September release. After OG Pawan Kalyan is likely to join Hari Hara Veera mallu shooting and first part is expected to release in 2025 summer.

Samarasimha Reddy Makes History: Sets All-Time Re-Release Record

Samarasimha Reddy was released 25 years ago and created a big sensation. The film has broken all existing records and emerged as an all-time industry hit. To celebrate the film’s 25 years a 4K version is rereleasing on 2nd March. The trailer was released on 25th February amidst great excitement. The film is rereleasing by Sri Matha Creations.

There are plans of having a record re-release for this movie and it could well be the biggest ever. Samarasimha Reddy is being planned to re-release 100 theaters across Nizam, In, and more than 250 theatres across Andhra. In Karnataka, the film will be released on 50 screens and a large-scale release is also being planned in the rest of India including Chennai, Orissa, Maharashtra, and some other regions. It will be interesting to see if the film can work big and create history or not.

Samarasimha Reddy, released in 1999, also starred Simran and Anjala Zaveri in lead roles. Directed by B Gopal and written by Vijayendra Prasad, Samarasimha Reddy’ went on to become a massive success and a trendsetter in the Telugu film industry. It showcased the potential of faction-based plots and inspired several other faction based movies in Tollywood.

The Suhas-starrer “Ambajipeta Marriage Band,” which was released in theaters on February 2nd, is gearing up for its digital debut! Gopichand’s Bhimaa Pre release business details

Gopichand’s Bhimaa is all set for its release and will be hitting screens on 8th March for Shivaratri. The trailer was released recently and it created very good buzz on the film. The main positive from this trailer is the action episodes with a mystery touch. This genre will work well if the movie gets good word of mouth. The total Telugu states rights are said to be valued at Rs 12Cr and worldwide rights stand at 14Cr. The buyers showed very good interest in this film after the trailer release. Bhima’s OTT rights were bought by Disney+ Hotstar and the satellite rights are bought by Star Maa.

The film is directed by Kannada director A Harsha who has earlier directed films like Vedhaa and Bhajarangi series and produced by KK Radhamohan under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts. The film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malvika Sharma and BGM has been composed by Ravi Basrur.

Eagle OTT Release: Arriving on Two Streaming Platforms

The movie ‘Eagle’ was released in theaters on February 9th and opened to mixed reviews.
