Director Hanu on casting Imanvi with Prabhas

Director Hanu made headlines by commencing his upcoming film with Prabhas. Everyone was shocked even more with the choice of lead actress for this film. A newcomer named Imanvi Esmail was roped in opposite Prabhas for this historical drama. No one expected a new comer to star beside Prabhas at this point of time. Now, Director Hanu has shared his opinion on casting Imanvi with Prabhas.

The Director said that they had found Imanvi through social media which was a good tool to identify new talent. On why picking Imanvi for Prabhas, he said that she looked pretty and talented alongwith dance skills. He was also attracted towards her eyes and felt like giving her a chance. The decision was also a collective one according to the director. Hanu also said that Prabhas had liked her as well which became a unanimous decision thereafter. It only took 15 days to finalise her casting as well.

Imanvi was born in Delhi and brought up in Los Angeles, USA. So, this is quite a big debut for any girl beside Prabhas who is riding too high with this unbelievable stardom throughout the country. The Actor also looks to take it further with this historical drama.

They already ventured into Kollywood with Good Bad Ugly starring Ajith and shoot is under progress. In Bollywood, they roped in Gopichand Malineni and Sunny Deol for a film which was announced officially as well. Now, for another film, it is learned that Prabhas is out and Aamir Khan comes in.

Mythri Movie Makers locked Lokesh Kanagaraj long time back for a film. They initially wanted to do this with Prabhas in the lead role. But now this idea is dropped and Aamir Khan is said to be replacing Prabhas in the film. The project is also expected to go on floors very soon by next year end. Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with Rajinikanth starrer Coolie. He will also be helming Kaithi 2 after this. Aamir Khan film will happen after Kaithi 2.

Lokesh Kanagaraj needs to come back strong with Coolie as he suffered a blow with Leo. The film disappointed the audience with its poor content and direction. He was even trolled badly for this. Coolie decides his fate for his film with Aamir Khan as well.

Kalki 2898 AD OTT release tonight

The Kalki 2898AD movie was released in theaters on June 27 and has grossed more than Rs 770 crore domestically. When combined with its overseas profits, the total worldwide box office revenue tops Rs 1050 crore. Along with Prabhas, Kalki 2898 AD stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone.

Netflix and Prime Video have both stated that the film will be available on their platforms in multiple languages. The dual-platform release strategy ensures that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ reaches a broader audience in many countries and languages. This technique not only increases viewing but also accommodates a variety of language tastes, increasing anticipation for the sequel.

The Hindi version will be available on Netflix, while the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam versions will air on Amazon Prime Video on August 21st at midnight. Devara: Part 1 has gained popularity, particularly after NTR’s comments on the film’s narrative during an event in Hyderabad. NTR informed his supporters, “It’s my NTR promise to you all that the wait for Devara will be worth it.”.

The film promises exciting action sequences and a great musical composition. The two singles released so far have garnered positive responses. Fans are excited for the third single to be released. Raviteja out from Sankranti

Raviteja and Chiranjeevi joined the screen for Waltair Veeraiah’s 2022 Sankranti, which rattled the box office. Now, the megastar is preparing for Sankranti 2025 with his film Viswambhara. Ravi Teja has struggled to find success since Waltair Veeraiah. Now, he is preparing to release his 75th film for the approaching Sankranti.

This holiday season is a key period for blockbuster releases, and the 2025 slate is already jam-packed with celebrity-watch films. Megastar Chiranjeevi Vishwambhara is directed by Mallidi Vashishtha of Bimbisara fame. Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi’s untitled film, Balakrishna and Bobby’s film, and Ajit Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly are slated to compete for the Sankranti release date.

The history of numerous high-quality releases continues during the Solstice Festival, which promises to be both thrilling and competitive.
In Sankranti, the same problem occurred, forcing numerous films to compromise and move their release dates. Raviteja Eagle also had to withdraw from the 2024 Sankranti marathon. Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna share sankranti sentiments; hence, their films may not change release dates, but Venkatesh’s film may. With such a congested schedule, it’s unclear how many of these high-budget films will make it to the festival.

Double Ismart: Producers Safe?

Puri Jagannadh’s Double Ismart starring Ram is undoubtedly one of the biggest disasters in TFI. Despite this massive failure, the industry buzz is that producers are in a safe position as the movie did a pretty solid pre-release business. Theatrical rights bought by Hanuman producers for 54 Cr. The South Indian language’s digital rights were bought by Prime Video for more than 30 Cr.

Even the audio rights also fetched a big amount due to the success of Ismart Shankar’s musical success. The satellite rights have been acquired by Zee Group and even the Hindi dubbing rights and digital rights have also fetched some good numbers. So even if the movie budget is more than 100 Cr, it’s still a safe venture for producers.

According to industry circles, this is exactly what happened even during the release of Liger. Although Liger was massive disaster theatrically, it did tremendous business thanks to the craze of Vijay Deverakonda and the Puri and co. were in a safe position.

At the moment, it’s Hanuman producers and buyers who have lost 40 Cr. It needs to be seen how much Puri Connects compensates for this. As per industry circles, Puri Connects is in safe position but Puri Connects insiders are saying both Liger and Double Ismart were made with huge star cast and massive budget, so even Puri and co. are facing big losses

Indra: No Match for Murari

On the occasion of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday tomorrow, his 2002 super hit Indra will be re-released. There have been massive expectations on this re-release and Indra is one of the most iconic and massy characters in Megastar’s illustrious career. The B. Gopal film will be released in 4K and fans are eagerly waiting to experience the chartbuster songs on big screen.

Re-releases have now become a mode of not just fan enjoyment, but comparison parameters as well. Recently for Mahesh Babu’s Birthday Murari was re-released and created an all-time record in opening day and full run collections. Now Indra 4K rereleasing this Thursday but the advance bookings are nowhere near it. 

Looking at advances, the film has no chance to come closer to Murari. It needs to be seen how counter-bookings work as the film is expected to do well in mass centers where counter-bookings matter.

If Indra 4K fails to generate big numbers in mass stations, then it will be a failure. After Indra’s re- release Mass and Gabbar Singh will also be rereleasing for Nagarjuna and Pawan Kalyan’s birthdays respectively

Devara Third Single Release Details

The first two songs from Devara: Part 1—Fear Song and Chuttamalle—have raised anticipation due to Anirudh Ravichander’s compositions. While Jr. NTR fans have been grooving to these tracks, the team is currently promoting their upcoming third single.

Rathnavelu recently informed me that the opening song for the film highlights Tarak’s exceptional grace. Recently, ‘Saraswati Putra’ Ramajogayya Sastry expressed his enthusiasm for X, applauding the third single, Aayudha Pooja, for its amazing music and images.

He expressed excitement and eagerness to share the song with his followers. Devara’s third single is set to be released on September 7th, Vinayaka Chaviti Day. Fans are eagerly awaiting the songs to experience NTR’s mass performance after a long time.

Janhvi Kapoor makes her debut in Tollywood with this film, and Saif Ali Khan plays the main antagonist. Prakash Raj, Shine Tom Chacko, Srikanth, and Murali Sharma play pivotal roles. Devara, produced by Yuva Sudha Arts and NTR Arts, will be distributed internationally in multiple Indian languages on September 27, 2024.

Prabhas has reached a peak level with his Baahubali series. The two films became Pan Indian blockbsuters grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide. Prabhas later increased his stardom with Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD recently. Now Prabhas is considered Tollywood’s Baadshah.

Prabhas has two solo films in Top 5 films in Tollywood in terms of share. The list consists of RRR with 366 crores, Baahubali 2 with 310 crores, Kalki 2898 AD with 290 crores, Salaar with 214 crores and Baahubali 1 with 185 crores. All the films have Prabhas in the lead role except RRR which stars NTR and Ram Charan. That means, 4 of 5 highest share films in Tollywood belong to Prabhas now.

Other films belong to Director SS Rajamouli. Prabhas is just ruling Tollywood like a Baadshah in Telugu version or even all versions. No actor is close to him for now at the Box Office. He is also the only actor from South to have two 500 crores worldwide and two 1000 crores. Shah Rukh Khan is the only Indian Actor to have two 1000 crores with Pathaan and Jawaan. But both have no 2000 crore grosser which Aamir Khan only has with his Dangal. This record is still unbeatable.

Chiranjeevi’s Lucky Charm: Balakrishna Again?

Normally when movies are released in competition they will affect each other. But after Chiranjeevi’s comeback competing with Balakrishna has turned quite lucky for him. He delivered two huge blockbusters in the form of Khaidi no. 150 and Waltair Veerayya. Balakrishna also scored hits on both these occasions but did not make a big impact as it was Megastar who emerged as the winner.

Now both the senior actors are competing again for the next Sankranti. Megastar’s Vishwambhara and NBK 109 will be clashing for the festive season So far Chiranjeevi has the upper hand due to the theme and budget of Vishwambhara.

Vishwambhara will be the 1st preference for the audiences. While there is still some time for the release it needs to be seen what kind of promotional content both the movies release and who manages to create maximum buzz.

NBK 109 is directed by Bobby who incidentally directed Waltair Veerayya. The film also stars Bobby Deol, Chandini Chowdary, Gautham Menon, Ravi Kishan, Jagapathi Babu, and Shine Tom Chacko in key roles.

UV Creations is backing Vishwambhara which also stars Trisha while MM Keeravani will be composing tunes for this socio-fantasy project being made on a massive budget.
