Kamal Haasan’s presence in Kalki 2898 has created massive excitement amongst film lovers. With the legendary actor essaying a negative role, there have been all kinds of speculations about the film.

Kalki 2898 ad has managed to create massive hype right from the day it was announced. With an amazing cast featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and the addition of Kamal Haasan, Dulquer Salmaan, the film has surely become the most awaited film in India right now.

Kamal Haasan, recently confirmed that he will be the chief antagonist in the film. “The reason I accepted this film is because I come from analogous cinema. Without a negative, there’s no positive. So, a negative role is an important role in a film,” said the veteran star confirming the reports.

However, his role will be quite limited in the first half as per the actor’s own admission. In a recent media interaction, he revealed that Kalki part 2 is where he will truly be in his essence with greater screen time.

This is buzz in industry circles that the legendary star will not have much screenspace in part 1. At the end of part 1, his character will be introduced. Major screentime and scope for performance will be there in part 2.

Tillu Square: Shocking and Risky run time

0

Tillu Square, the upcoming film starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran has a shocking and very risky run time. The film will have a run time of just 2 hours. The team and the lead cast are very confident about the film. Fans and audiences are also waiting eagerly for the film.

DJ Tillu became a classic among the youth audiences. The songs and some scenes became very popular among the audiences. Many make memes bringing up these scenes on the social media platforms. Many felt very happy after the announcement of the sequel. But the shooting for the film took longer time than expected. Release dates for the film too got postponed many times. When the first look and teaser were released people were shocked to see many explicit scenes of the lead pair.

These scenes made the audience doubt the film’s result. DJ Tillu was entirely based on comedy whereas Tillu Square looks concentrated more on these explicit scenes. Now this run time is also bothering some audiences as they feel this run time may not satisfy them. The team is yet to respond to this. But as it looks, The run time is locked. The film will release on 29th March.

He recently starred in Salaar which might help him pull the audiences to The Goat Life.

Cinemas see initial effects of IPL season

Films and Cricket are the most loved and entertaining aspects of the Indian People. Indian Premiere League also known as IPL, started on Friday. Films that released the same day started experiencing this effect. The Telugu film, Om Bheem Bush which was released on Friday started very slow but opened with a positive word of mouth.

The film picked up the momentum and is witnessing a good jump on day 2. The collections of the Day 2 are 30% higher than the opening day. The film has registered good occupancies from the Matinee show But the first and second shows have not grown as expected due to the IPL effect. People prefer to watch IPL which generally starts and ends during this time.

No film from Tollywood collected double-digit share in Telugu States after Sankranthi. Om Bheem Bush also makes it look tough. Tillu Square, the sequel of blockbuster DJ Tillu will be released in the theatres next week. The trade is hoping to revive from the film. Tillu Square stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. First look and teaser too generated good positive buzz. All eyes now are on Tillu Square which has no competition with any other release.

Sundaram Master OTT Streaming Details

0

Sundaram Master is a comedy-drama film starring ‘Viva’ Harsha and Divya Sripada in lead roles. Written and directed by Kalyan Santosh, it had a worldwide release on February 23, 2024, to mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and audiences; the film eventually bombed at the box office.

This is ‘Mass Maharaja’ Ravi Teja’s fourth venture as a producer and third consecutive failure after Ravanasura (2023) and Changure Bangaru Raja (2023). However, the film has been praised for its performances, humour, and music, so you can certainly give it a shot.

Sundaram Master‘s digital streaming rights were bought by Aha for an undisclosed price; as officially announced, the film can be streamed on March 28, 2024 (Thursday). Sudheer Kumar Kurra co-produced this project on a modest budget, while Sricharan Pakala handled the background score and songs.

Vijay Devarakonda’s Family Star: Pre-Release Business Details

0

Family Star marks the second collaboration of Vijay Devarakonda with Parasuram Petla after the blockbuster Geetha Govindam (2018). Bankrolled by ‘Dil’ Raju’s Sri Venkateshwara Creations, it stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. With music composed by Gopi Sundar, this action drama film is slated for a worldwide release on April 5, 2024, in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

This is a crucial venture for Vijay since he hasn’t scored a clean ‘Hit’ since Taxiwaala (2018); his last theatrical outing, Kushi (2023), had an average run at the box office, accumulating significant losses for buyers. But thanks to the actor-director combo, Family Star has had a good theatrical business of INR 45 crore, which also happens to be its breakeven mark.

In terms of its non-theatrical rights, the film’s digital streaming rights have been bought by Prime Video for an undisclosed price. For medium-budget films, it is common for the makers to end up with profits before release, but that hasn’t happened with Family Star; the project’s budget has reportedly exceeded the estimated figure to a whopping INR 90 crore. Having said that, ‘Dil’ Raju has pinned high hopes on the film’s box-office performance, which would give him profits.

Tillu Square USA Bookings Are Disappointing

0

‘Star Boy’ Siddhu’s crime comedy film Tillu Square is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 29, 2024. Touted as a direct sequel to the blockbuster DJ Tillu (2022), it stars Anupama Parameshwaran as the female lead. Sithara Entertainments, which produced the first installment, is bankrolling this project as well.

The film carried good buzz among the trade and expectedly did good pre-release business for a medium-budgeted film. The promotional content, which includes the theatrical trailer, has worked well, which led the buyers to expect solid openings. Considering the hype, the film’s USA advance bookings were opened two weeks ago, but, surprising enough, the sales are below par.

As of today, the ticket sales are valued at a modest $70K, which is quite less for a blockbuster sequel. This can be attributed to the film being postponed multiple times, which diluted the craze, and the ongoing IPL season, which has proven to affect footfalls year after year.

Razakar: A big budget bust

0

This is an age of many alleged propaganda films. We saw films like The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story. Both these films are based on real-life incidents but carry propaganda inside them. As said many call them propaganda films. Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad is also one such film.

The film made with a huge star cast boasts a budget of around 40 crores. But the film has failed miserably at the box office. The targeted Nizam audience did not show much interest in the film. Razakar has ended up as a huge cost failure film. The theatrical recovery is not even 10% of the budget. The prominence of the lesser star cast is the main reason for the film’s failure. Anasuya Bharadwaj was the only known star cast in the film.

It became monotony for the audience to encourage such films. This also added up as a disadvantage for the film. Many even feel that Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP is behind these films. This was even countered by R. Narayana Murthy, legendary Actor in the pre-release event of the film. He openly said that Hindu Gods belong to all parties and people but not only to BJP.

Prithviraj defines Malayalam Industry’s uniqueness

0

Malayalam Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran made some interesting comments about his Malayalam Industry. The Actor’s recent film The Goat Life is about to release in the theatres this week in all languages. He is attending many promotional events for the film also. In a press meet, Prithviraj defined the Malayalam Industry’s uniqueness.

The Actor revealed the difference between the Malayalam Industry and other Industries. He said that he believes the Malayalam Cinema traditionally has a practice where the large chink of the budget goes into production rather than on remunerations. The Actor also said that if a film’s budget is around 75 crores, other industry makers spend only 55 crores on the remuneration but it happens to be quite different in Malayalam Industry. He indirectly talked about how the budget is spent for the lead actors in other Industries.

His film, The Goat Life happened in the same way. Amala Paul played the female lead role whereas Oscar Award-winning A.R. Rahman scored the music for the film. A big budget was pumped into the film which also had a great advance start. Prithviraj hopes the film brings him more Pan India appeal which he gathered recently with Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.
