Actress Samantha is known for being one of the top heroines in the South Indian film Industry. She acted with almost all of the big stars in both Telugu and Tamil Film Industries. The actress married Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya but both parted their ways after the marriage. Samantha started developing a serious health condition, Myositis thereafter. But she somehow chose to act in the films again.

Samantha took many breaks while shooting for Yashoda and Shankunthalam. She had to cope so badly with Myositis. She rose to fame throughout the country by acting in a role in the sequel of the Web Series, Family Man. The actress has also managed to be a part of the upcoming series, Citadel, the Indian adaptation of Citadel created by Russo Brothers. This Indian adaptation will be directed by Raj and DK, who are also known for writing the Family Man series.

Samantha said, “Shooting for Citadel was difficult because of the disease, Myositis. There’s a lot of action involved, so it was very strenuous. There were times when I would have spasms or even worse passouts.” She even said that she had passed out and had a concussion as well. Citadel stars Varun Dhawan alongside her.
