Two films released recently with the same theme and concept. One was Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan and the other one was Operation Valentine starring Varun Tej. Both dealt with pulling off some missions in the Indian Air Force.
Fighter saw a decent opening at the box office thanks to the star power of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Operation Valentine on the other hand became a box office failure for Varun Tej with negligible collections. Varun Tej who was on a failure spree continued the same again. Both films arrived on the OTT platforms also. Now the Telugu Audiences feel that Fighter is way better than Operation Valentine. Operation Valentine is facing the same word of mouth even in the OTT segment. But Fighter somehow managed to grab decent to good reviews from the OTT audiences.
Fighter is streaming on Netflix and Operation Valentine on Amazon Prime Video. On the work front, Hrithik Roshan is currently working for War 2 directed by Siddarth Anand alongside Telugu Actor NTR. NTR makes his Bollywood debut with this film. Varun Tej will be working on a film called Matka directed by Palasa Fame, Karuna Kumar which was launched recently as well. Meenakshi Chaudhary is the female lead in the film.
