Manjummel Boys Telugu: Excellent weekend- blockbuster on cards

Manjummel Boys, recent Malayalam film became a blockbuster grossing more than 200 crores worldwide with its Malayalam Version. The film became an Industry hit there officially as well. The film attracted the Telugu Audience with its hype and the film released this April 6th. Manjummel Boys had an excellent weekend and blockbuster is on the cards for sure.

Manjummel Boys opened with very good numbers in the Telugu States. The weekend has collected a gross of around 3.5 crores in Telugu. The film needs to collect around 7 crore for breakeven which is another 3.5 crore. Tomorrow i.e., Ugadi and Ramzan afterward promise a big run for the film in the next 2- 3 days. This may help the film post bigger numbers and reach the breakeven by this week.

The film faced competition with Vijay Deverakonda starrer, Family Star which was released a day before on April 5th. Family Star received a poor response from the audience and likewise, it heading towards a big disaster. The film was not able to recover 30% during the weekend and may give a big loss to the producer Dil Raju. So, this opportunity has been seized by Manjummel Boys in Telugu along with Tillu Square.

The Goat Life also titled Aadu Jeevitham has been on a collection spree. The film stunned all with its stellar performance of lead actor Prithviraj and its making. The film also became the fastest 100 crores grossing worldwide. The Goat Life’s total 11 days worldwide box office collections are as follows:

The Goat Life had a fantastic first weekend and it continued the same momentum during the second weekend too. It posted solid numbers on 2nd weekend too. For its 11-day run, the film has collected 49 crores gross in the home state of Kerala. The film is officially joining the 50 crore club domestically. The Goat Life has collected $5.7 Million i.e., 47.5 crores. The Rest of India gross is close to 18 crores.

The Goat Life’s total worldwide gross is around 115 crores which is sensational for its genre. This week may contribute more to the film because of the Ramzan festival and the summer season ahead. The Goat Life may well cross 150 crores in its full run. But it needs to be seen if it could beat the already rocking hit, Manjummel Boys which grossed 200 crores worldwide. It was released in Telugu and got positive reviews as well.

Opening day performance indicated that the film may experience a disastrous experience at the box office. The same happened now after the weekend with no difference. The film collected 6.3 crore share worldwide on its opening day. On Day 2 the share was only 2 crores which is shocking. On day 3, i.e., Sunday the film completely washed out with a mere 1.7 crores worldwide. Family Star has collected a share of approx. 10 crores worldwide during the weekend which makes it just 22% of the recovery. It’s likely to end up below 30% recovery as well by its full run. This is surely a huge loss venture.

Producer Dil Raju and the team are making sure everything favors Family Star. But the audience has already decided and the same is reflected in these collections. The film will be a big disaster for Parasuram who is riding high with the success of Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Let’s see how he responds to the result in the future.

It’s going to be another Clash of the Titans. The top stars of Tollywood, Chiranjeevi, and Balakrishna are about to face off yet another time during the Sankranthi season. The two giants fought two times for Sankranthi in recent times. One was during 2017 Sankranthi season when Chiranjeevi’s comeback film, Khaidi No 150 clashed with Balakrishna’s Gouthamiputra Satakarni. Second was during 2023 Sankranthi season when Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya collided with Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy.

All these films were hits interestingly. But Chiranjeevi had an upper hand over those respective films. Khaidi No 150 became a big blockbuster and the same with Waltair Veerayya too. Now their upcoming films, Vishwasmbhara, and untitled Balayya- Bobby film may clash again for the Sankrathi. Vishwambhara will be a socio-fantasy film made on a large scale and Balayya-Bobby film will be an out-and-out mass entertainer.

Chiranjeevi may again have an upper hand as the span and making of Vishwambhara is very big and Balayya’s film with Bobby will be a commercial one. Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara may eye more than 200 crores worldwide and Balayya’s film will eye for 200 crores worldwide. But both would impress their fans for sure and let’s wait for the official confirmation from the teams.

He also felt that there should be a law to make sure reviews come out only after 3 days i.e., weekend. He quoted the example of review system that exists in Kerala while speaking.

Dil Raju was talking about the reviews that his production, Family Star has got. Family Star received poor reviews and responses from the people and this has disappointed both Dil Raju and the team. They even lodged a complaint with cyber crime police that some people targeted the film and came out with negative reviews.

But what Dil Raju needs to understand is, that the same reviews if given positively are used for the Film poster after the opening day. But if the same film gets negative reviews Dil Raju and the team are unable to digest the reality. Ironically, Dil Raju turned review reporter for the film and even enquired many people’s opinions at a theatre. Family Star released amid great hype and the film didn’t match up to the expectations. The Goat Life also titled Aadu Jeevitham starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul has added one more feature to its cap. No Malayalam film had managed to enter the 1 Million Dollar Club in the US before Manjummel Boys. Mollywood had only Manjummel Boys touching $1M and $1.5M in the US. Now, The Goat Life has joined the Million Dollar Club in the US officially.

On the second Saturday, the film has managed to collect $70K gross and took the total gross to $1M in the US. The film is also expected to reach $1.3 – $1.4 Million by its full run. Manjummel Boys on the other hand had already crossed the $1.5M Mark and may end up near $1.6 Million. Prithviraj and the team must be appreciated for pulling off this task with a survival thriller-based film. The film has been in the pre-production stage for many years and now all the hard work has paid off.

The Goat Life also became the 5th Malayalam film to gross 100 crores worldwide after Manjummel Boys, 2018, Premalu and Lucifer. Along with Manjummel Boys and Premalu, The Goat Life became the third 100-crore grosser of the same year for Mollywood. This is an amazing news for the fans of Mollywood.

The most awaited teaser of Pushpa 2: The Rule is arriving tomorrow at 11:07 AM. A poster was released about the same featuring Allu Arjun sitting on the throne with an axe. Allu Arjun too posted the same poster on his X account confirming the release date and time.

Pushpa 2 has been riding high with the expectations right from its start. The prequel Pushpa created a rage across the nation with its songs and mannerisms becoming very popular. NTR’s Devara faces multiple threats

Devara starring NTR and Janhvi Kapoor is directed by Koratala Shiva. The film is officially announced to be made into two parts. The First Part’s Actual release date of the film was planned during the summer but it was postponed to October now. But Devara is facing many multiple threats to its release date.

As said, the film is postponed to 10th October now, but this date has many competitors in the form of OG starring Pawan Kalyan which will release 2 weeks prior to Devara. Ram Charan starter Game Changer is also aiming for an October release now. Another film, Thandel starring Naga Chaitanya is also said to arrive in October. Along with this, Ajith’s Vidaa Muyarchi is aiming for an October release. Now, above all Superstar Rajikanth’s film, Vettaiyan has been announced to release in October officially.

Devara which was to release early has seen a postponement and now there are many films to deal with. The Majority of these films also eye a Pan India release and may damage Devara’s prospects. We’ll have to see how the team tackles these issues. Summer could have been an apt choice for Devara as there are no films lined up for release but they missed it.
