Akhil disappointed Akkineni fans again

When Akhil made his much-hyped entry, the Akkineni fans expected him to emerge as big star and even predicted that he would compete with tier-1 Tollywood stars. There was massive hype for his launch film Akhil- The Power of Jua and it opened with record numbers but the content failed big time and the project ended up a disaster.

From there Akhil has constantly struggled to deliver success. Most Eligible Bachelor did a decent job at the box office but couldn’t satisfy the expectations of Akkineni fans.

Akkineni fans and audience expected a lot and had high hopes on Agent directed by Surender Reddy. Unfortunately, this action thriller also failed at the box office and disappointed everyone. The film emerged as one of Tollywood’s biggest disasters.

After Agent, there have been no movie announcements from Akhil. His next film is already committed with a debut director under UV Creations and still no announcement has happened so far. It’s been one year since Agent’s release and fans expected that an update would come on Akhil’s birthday but the lack of it has disappointed the fans a lot.

‘Power Star’ Pawan Kalyan is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in Telugu, with a humongous fan following among youth. However, his career planning and script planning are poor, to say the least. The fact that he has encountered more flops than any other actor in Telugu is a testament to that. As Kalyan himself admitted, he was never a passionate actor; in fact, he is not even interested in films, to be more precise. But ironically, he has the most craziest fan basein the Telugu states.

The 2019 Andhra Pradesh general elections were a nightmare for Kalyan. After receiving a huge response upon his political entry, he lost the elections from both the constituencies he contested from. One of the major reasons behind this debacle is the image Kalyan has had among people. To put it straight, a major chunk of voters still saw Kalyan as a ‘Film Star’ and not a politician. And his previous political appearance during Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam party, its electoral performance, and the sudden merger in Congress have further heightened the image.

After this election’s result, Kalyan chose to completely sideline his acting career to focus on politics. He was so busy serving people that he chose to star in three back-to-back remakes since they can be wrapped up in quick durations. Today, Pawan Kalyan is an outright politician and a part-time actor. In other words, people in Andhra Pradesh now see him as a ‘Leader’ first and not a film star. Sree Vishnu’s Next Film Launched – All Details

Sree Vishnu is currently basking in the success of his latest flick, Om Bheem Bush. Released amidst low buzz, the film received a positive response and emerged as a ‘Sleeper Hit’ at the box office. The actor is known for signing and wrapping up films in quick time periods, and he has yet again proved the same.

Vishnu’s next venture will be a comedy drama set against a rural backdrop. Tentatively titled #SV19, it will be helmed by debutant Janaki Ram Marella, an assistant director of Bobby Kolli. The film was formally launched with a pooja ceremony, with multiple industry people attending.

Vijay Bulganin will compose the film’s background score and songs, while Skanda Vahana, Whistle Worthy Pictures, and Kona Film Corporation will bankroll the film jointly. ‘Dil’ Raju, Anil Ravipudi, V. Bellamkonda Sreenivas Reveals His Line-Up!

Bellamkonda Sreenivas, a notable actor in Telugu, has pinned high hopes on Chatrapathi (2023), a remake of Rajamouli’s film of the same name, which marks his Hindi film debut. Helmed by V. V. Vinayak, the film emerged as a collosal disaster at the box office. On the occasion of Ugadi, he made an announcement via Twitter, where he began by saying that the past few months have been ‘challenging’.

Despite not mentioning it explicitly, one understands that he’s referring to the result of his last film, Chatrapathi (2023). After the film bombed at the box office, the actor chose to take a break from films for self-reflection and to focus on his personal life. Sreenivas will next see ‘Tyson Naidu’, an action entertainer directed by Sagar K. Chandra of Bheemla Nayak fame. Bankrolled by 14 Reels Plus, it features Nabha Natesh as the female lead.

Aha announces upcoming streamings on Ugadi special

Streaming platform Aha has announced a bunch of new releases on the occasion of Ugadi. These releases include some of the recent blockbusters along with some popular reality shows and web series. Here’s a list of upcoming content on Aha.

Premalu– The Malayalam blockbuster romantic drama was a huge success not just in Kerala and Tamil Nadu but in Telugu states as well. The film ran successfully and saw great occupancies for Telugu version and now is getting ready for its digital premiere on 12th April.

Telugu Indian Idol 3 – The popular Telugu reality show Telugu Indian Idol will be marking a return with season 3 very soon. The show features Thaman, Karthik and Geetha Madhuri as judges.

Benching– Aha is also coming up with its new web series ‘Benching’ the show’s tagline ‘Genz’s Hottest Dating Trend’ suggests that the show is targeted towards younger audience.

Ardhamainda Arun Kalyan– The web series is now getting ready for a season 2 and will stream online pretty soon. The comedy-drama series featured Harshith Reddy and Tejasvi Madivada in key roles.

Ravi Teja challenges all senior Star heroes

Ravi Teja has become a bankable hero for all the producers. He has been repeatedly okaying films with various production houses. Now another film was announced on the occasion of Ugadi today. With this, Ravi Teja is seriously challenging all the senior star heroes in Tollywood.

All he four senior star heroes, Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, and Venkatesh have planned to release their films for the next Sankranthi season. Sithara Entertainments has announced their film with Ravi Teja tentatively titled, #RT75 and they have announced the release date as well. Bhanu Bhogavarapu will be directing the film. So Ravi Teja has occupied space for the much-locked Sankranthi season. This year Sankranthi season faced a heavy rush with 4 films. Hanuman and Mahesh Babu starrer, Guntur Kaaram went neck-to-neck as well for theatres.

Ravi Teja last worked for Eagle which didn’t perform well but he is getting good offers. His previous films, Tiger Nageswara Rao and Ravansura too were box-office duds. Waltair Veerayya had him doing an extended cameo. So, the only solo hit he had was with Dhamaka directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. Ravi Teja is currently working for Mr. Bachchan, a remake of the Bollywood film, Raid starring Ajay Devgan.

Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh join together for a multiplex

Tollywood Actors, Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh are collaborating for a project. This is not for a film but for a multiplex. The two-star heroes are investing in a multiplex soon to be opened in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu already collaborated with Asian Cinemas and established AMB cinemas in Hyderabad. Now, It’s Venkatesh’s turn.

Asian Cinema has been bringing star heroes to collaborate for their multiplexes. They had already established AAA Cinemas with Allu Arjun and AVD with Vijay Deverakonda. Now, they have brought both Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu for a news multiplex in RTC Crossroads in Hyderabad. It is also said that Sudharsha 35MM would be replaced with this multiplex. This may be named AMB Victory Cinemas as well in the lines of their previous multiplexes.

Venkatesh’s family already has multiplex chains in Both Telugu States. His brother Suresh Babu operates these multiplexes. Now, Venky himself came forward for a multiplex. On the work front, Mahesh Babu is now working for his upcoming globetrotting film with SS Rajamouli. The film will be made on a large scale and also on the Pan India level. Venkatesh who last worked for Saindhav is said to be working with Anil Ravipudi for a film Sankrathiki Vasthunnam.

Producer responds on Agent OTT release

Akhil Akkineni and Surender Reddy collaborated for the film, Agent. This film released in 2023 after several postponements. But the film didn’t perform well making it another flop for Akhil who was waiting for a big hit. The film didn’t release stream on OTT after the release interestingly. Now, the producer Anil Sunkara responded on Agent OTT release.

Many audiences who didn’t watch waited for Agent’s streaming on OTT. The Producer tweeted about the same saying they had informed a couple of times about that. He said they had sold the digital rights to B4U Movies who sold it to Sony. He also hoped that the film would stream soon. Many films that underperform at the Box Office release on OTT as soon as possible. But Agent’s story became different here.

The film was made on a large scale but disappointed the fans and Audiences. This also became an embarrassment for Director, Surender Reddy, who had a hit with Sye Raa Narasimhaa Reddy starring Chiranjeevi. On the work front, Akhil is right now working for a film with UV creations which will be directed by Anil Kumar who worked for Saaho. Surender Reddy is focussing on a film with Pawan Kalyan.

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is nearing its release and the entire unit is busy with back to back promotions. Unfortunately for the makers, there is zero buzz and excitement for the movie and this has got them worried. And now, poor advance bookings ahead of the film’s release have led to the makers taking a huge decision.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was announced for 10th April release and the bookings were opened recently. The response to bookings are disastrous, to say the least. Due to these booking trends, the team has postponed the release to 11th April on Ramzan day. This might be the first time that makers of any movie have postponed the release because of disastrous advances.

The action thriller has been shot across Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi, Scotland, and Jordan, and a lot of budget has been spent on some heavy-duty action sequences.
