NTR Gears Up for Action in War 2

The shooting of NTR- Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2 began in Spain last year. This was just a test shoot with body doubles the lead stars were not involved in this shoot. This schedule involved some major action sequences before the lead cast joined. And now, Hrithik has joined the film’s shoot while NTR is expected to start the War 2 shoot this Friday.

This will be a 10-day long action schedule and will feature some action sequences between Hrithik and NTR. War 2 will features some of the grandest action episodes and is touted to be the biggest action movie in Indian cinema history.

There is massive hype for this project as the two of the biggest stars of North and South are coming together in this project. War 2 will be a part of YRF’s Spyverse which already features A-list stars like Shahrukh and Salman Khan.

It has become the most anticipated film from the Yash Raj Films’ Spyverse and down south, a large number of audience are really curious about Tarak’s role in this project. Ayan Mukherjee, who earlier directed Ranbir Kapoor starter Brahmastra, will handle this project. The team is planning a release for 2025 Republic Day.

Remuneration Dispute Forces DVV Danayya to Quit Vijay’s Film

After his political entry, Vijay announced his next film after Venkat Prabhu’s The G.O.A.T would be his last film. This led to massive competition among directors and producers to work with Thalapathy. Vijay quoted 200 Cr remuneration for this project and DVV Danayya okayed it.

Once Danayya signed Vijay, multiple directors narrated scripts and Danayya planned to bring a Telugu star director as he felt Vijay’s Tamil brand and director’s Telugu market would surely be a winning combination. Unfortunately, this didn’t work out.

Finally, Vijay locked director H Vinoth for this project and quoted Rs 250 Cr remuneration. DVV Danayya was not okay with it as Vinoth does not have any big image in other languages so he reportedly walked out of this project.

Now, Vijay needs to find another producer. Quoting Rs 250 Cr remuneration for Vinoth film is a big risk for any producer. Considering it is his last film, it will surely be made on a grand scale, and due to this heavy remuneration, the budget itself will touch close to Rs 400 crores, and recovering that is not an easy task.

Multiple films are arriving on OTT this week

With a holiday and a weekend approaching, multiple movies are getting ready for release on OTT platforms. All these movies are recent big releases with a great demand for OTT release.

Premalu OTT release

The first of the lot is recent Malayalam blockbuster Premalu. The film established several records at the Kerala as well as Tamil Nadu box office during its initial release. The dubbed Telugu version was later released and that too managed to win audience’s hearts across Telugu states and emerged as a blockbuster. Premalu will stream on Aha from 12th April onwards.

Gaami OTT release

Vishwak Sen’s Gaami managed to create great buzz way before its release thanks to its interesting concept and promotional content. The film did well at the box office and managed to become a box office hit. Now, Gaami is gearing up for its OTT debut on 12th April on Zee 5.

Om Bheem Bush OTT release

While this Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna starter didn’t exactly take the box-office by storm, it was appreciated for its entertainment value and comedy. Audience are eagerly awaiting Om Bheem Bush’s OTT arrival and the comedy entertainer will stream on Amazon Prime Video from 12th April as well.

Gopichand’s action entertainer Bhimaa is also making its way to digital streaming and will release this week on Disney + Hotstar.

Trivikram’s One-sided support for NTR

Director Trivikram has arrived as one of the chief guests of Tillu Square‘s success meet event held in Hyderabad. Actor, Jr. NTR too shared the stage as a chief guest for the event. So, while giving his speech, Trivikram started praising Jr. NTR. This showed his one-sided support for NTR.

We see directors praising actors often, but Trivikram did something different here. He wished great success for Devara and also wanted it to cross 1000 crores gross mark. It looked fine but he felt that he hoped Devara would begin this first after this Ugadi festival, i.e., the Telugu New Year. He also quoted this year as Devara Nama samvatsaram i.e., Devara’s Year. It is where everything felt not okay. There are many biggies lined up this year like Kalki 2898 AD, Pushpa 2:The Rule, O.G., and Game Changer. But Trivikram mentioned only about Devara and named it Devara Nama samvatsaram leaving aside all other films.

This has made fans and audiences angry as Trivikram should have maintained a neutral stand being a director. It would be good if he hoped that Devara would do good but noticing only Devara by setting aside other films may not look good. Trivikram is currently working for a film with Allu Arjun which was announced on this birthday as well.

Allu Arjun gets no wishes from Atlee and Anirudh

Allu Arjun is riding high with the success of his previous film, Pushpa: The Rise. He is currently working for Pushpa 2: The Rule. The teaser was released yesterday on the occasion of his birthday on April 8th. Fans were excited when the news of him collaborating with Atlee came out. They even expected something about the film’s update on Allu Arjun’s birthday. But Atlee didn’t wish Allu Arjun surprisingly.

Atlee is also enjoying the success of his Blockbuster, Jawaan starring Shah Rukh Khan which grossed nearly 900 crores worldwide. There is news that Atlee started working on Allu Arjun’s film. It was reported that he even had music sittings with Music Director, Anirudh. But neither he nor Anirudh wished Allu Arjun on his birthday which is quite shocking. In the meanwhile, Haarika and Haasine Creations announced a film with Allu Arjun and Director Trivikram to everyone’s surprise.

On the other hand, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has received a lukewarm response. Fans and Audiences expected that the team would reveal something from the film but only a fight sequence was shown in the teaser where Allu Arjun was spotted doing Ardha Naareeswhara look which was already shown in the first look poster.

Manjummel Boys OTT streaming date is locked

Manjummel Boys, the recent Malayalam Blockbuster has got its OTT streaming date locked. The film which went on to receive positive reviews everywhere collected more than 200 crores gross worldwide. It has also become the Industry Hit of Mollywood officially beating the previous record holder, 2018. The film will stream on 3rd May in Disney+Hotstar in all the languages.

Manjummel Boys when released received amazing praise from all sections of audiences. The film instantly became everyone’s choice and smashed all existing records. Interestingly, the film has no star presence. It managed to cross Lucifer and 2018 to become the Industry hit there. The film now has collected more than 230 crores gross worldwide. Along with this, it performed phenomenally well in Tamil Nadu as well. Manjummel Boys had a backdrop of Guna caves, caves which became popular after the Tamil film, Guna. So, this naturally attracted Tamil Audiences as well.

The film released in Telugu and secured positive reviews as well. It has collected nearly 6 crores gross in the Telugu Version itself. It needs to collect more than 10 crores to officially become the highest-grossing Telugu dubbed Malayalam film here. Premalu currently holds this record with nearly 15 crores gross. If all goes well, Manjummel Boys may surpass this number.

Prabhas: 3 New Films in 6 Months

Of all the tier 1 heroes in Tollywood, Prabhas has one of the most exciting lineups with films like Kalki 2898 AD, Raja Saab, Spirit, Hanu Raghavapudi film, and Salaar lined up next. Interstingly, Prabhas is planning to kick off the shooting of 3 projects from the above in the next 6 months.

Salaar 2 shoot is set to start in May or June and Hanu Raghavapudi project will go on floors in September. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, in which Prabhas will be seen as a cop will start its shoot in December. Kalki 2898 shoot is in its final stages and once the film releases, Prabhas will move on to these projects immediately.

Maruthi’s Raja Saab is expected to release in the 2025 1st half and Salaar 2 is set for release in the 2025 2nd half. Spirit and Hanu Raghavapudi’s film are slated to release in 2026.

With 4 films in next 2 years confirmed for release, Prabhas fans are filled with great excitement. What’s more interesting is Prabhas characterization and the unique genre of all these films. Salaar 2 is an action thriller while Raja Saab is a horror comedy. Kalki 2898 is a sci-fi film while Hanu Raghavapudi film is a period action drama.

Spirit which created massive hype when it was announced is an action entertainer and like rest of Sandeep Vanga film’s characterization of the lead will truly be unique and drive the film.

Ugadi Brings Joy to Theatre Owners

Festivals are a joyous occasion not just for celebrating with family but also for catching up on the latest films. This has been proven true time and again with several films strategically releasing during Sankranti, Ugadi, and Dasara and scoring big hits thanks to the support of family audiences. While fans can pull a movie to good openings, it’s the general audience whose support matters a lot for a film’s success.

This Ugadi, the audience seems to have wholeheartedly supported the films and thronged to the theatres in big numbers. Yesterday, all the theatres in a majority of centers were filled with audiences much to the theatre owner’s glee.

Tillu Square had an extraordinary day and all the shows went housefuls and the film registered extraordinary occupancies. Manjummel Boys had the best day at the Box office yesterday and the positive word of mouth led to the Telugu audience giving the same love to this film that they showered on Premalu.

Even Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur starrer The Family Star had a strong day. While the film opened to unfavorable reviews and word of mouth, Ugadi brought great joy to Dil Raju and Co. The film witnessed some good occupancies yesterday in Andhra Pradesh. Ugadi was the best day so far for The Family Star in several centers.

Tollywood Actor, Jr. NTR graced the success meet of Tillu Square held in Hyderabad. The film starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran became a sensational hit grossing more than 100 crores worldwide already. NTR along with other celebrities attended the Success meet held by the team. NTR while speaking at the event, spoke about many things except Vijay Deverakonda and Family Star.

NTR praised the film’s lead actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Tillu Square as well. But Family Star which released on April 5th is still running in the theatres. But NTR chose not to speak about it or its lead actor Vijay Deverakonda. NTR completely took the side of Tillu Square which shocked all. What was more shocking was he endorsed both Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vishwak Sen but didn’t even utter the name, Vijay Deverakonda. He felt that these two were upcoming sensations. NTR could have also referred to Vijay Deverakonda while praising them. But he didn’t which is very shocking. No one knows if he forgot his name or didn’t want to bring his name.

Producer Dil Raju is also a close friend of NTR. He happens to be the producer of Family Star. But NTR attending Tillu Square’s success meet and endorsing it while Family Star is still running in the theatres is shocking. He could have refrained from attending this event as it sends a wrong message. Well, it’s how things work in the Film Industry. Need to see how they respond to this.

Sundar C plans a bi-lingual track for Aaranmanai 4

Tamil Actor cum Director, Sundar C is currently working for Aaranmanai 4 starring Tamannaah and Raashi Khanna. The Film’s trailer has already been released recently in Tamil. What surprised everyone was a poster released by the team today on the occasion of Ugadi. With this poster, it is evident that Sundar C has planned the film, Aaranmanai 4 as a partial Bi-lingual of Telugu language as well. The film is also titled Baak.

Comedians Srinivasa Reddy and Vennela Kishore appeared along with Tamannaah, Raashi Khanna, and Sundar C. This indicates that comedy portions involving these actors were shot in Telugu for the audience. Aaranmanai series enjoys popularity among Telugu audiences as well. The film was released as Chandrakala and the sequel was Kalavathi. Both these films received a bit of hype but the third part failed here. So Sundar C must have concentrated on using this now. He earlier did this for a film Something Something starring Siddarth and Hansika. Brahmanandam played a role along with Siddarth in that film.

But choosing the title Baak felt different. The film was titled Aaranmanai 4 in Tamil. We have to wait and see what Baak is. The Telugu Trailer may release in the coming days while the film is scheduled to release on 26th April.
