One Year For Agent, Where is Akhil Akkineni?

It’s been a year since the release of Akhil Akkineni’s Agent. The action entertainer was made on a massive budget by Surender Reddy and ended up as one of the biggest disasters in Tollywood history. Post the failure of Agent, a lot was discussed and many questions were raised about Akhil’s next.

After the Agent’s failure, Akhil Akkineni has not yet announced his next film, but he is said to be currently in talks with several projects. The young actor is now said to be in talks to act in blockbuster Virupaksha sequel as well but nothing is confirmed yet.

Many felt that the young hero should avoid big-budget projects and focus on medium-level entertainers. However, he surprised many with his next project. A debut director will direct Akhil’s next under the UV Creations banner and it is also a huge budget project.

Despite the announcement, there has been little progress on the project and it is taking quite long. Akkineni fans are extremely disappointed with Akhil’s planning. Success and failures are common but Akhil is going on a pretty unusual route and a stage where he should be looking for a comeback, he is delaying his projects and putting big pressure on himself

Thandel digital rights sold for a record price

Thandel starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film is planned on a big scale with heavy production values and is currently under the shooting stage. The film will mark the highest-budgeted film for the lead actor Naga Chaitanya, who is hunting for a hit film. Recently, Thandel’s digital rights have been sold for a record price.

Thandel Digital rights were sold for a whopping price of 40 crores to leading OTT giant, Netflix. This would also mark a huge record deal for a medium-budget hero like Naga Chaitanya. This means the team is so confident about the film and its making as well. The posters and the glimpse also promised the same about Thandel. It also has a love story connect between the lead pair Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi.

The film has to score a minimum of 100 crores to recover this price which will be a big task for the lead actor. Naga Chaitanya scored his biggest hit with Majili which ended somewhere around 65 crores worldwide. He has also not scored a big blockbuster after this film so the fans and audience hope Thandel may give the major relief for Naga Chaitanya.

Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 is slated to release on June 13th. The film has faced several hurdles on its way to completion including some big legal ones. The vigilante action film is now nearing completion and the makers have decided to go big with the promotions.

The audio launch is planned for the May 3rd weekend in Nehru Stadium. This will be a massive event and as everything with Shankar goes, the grandest of them all. The team is currently planning to release a single in May 1st week and to release all other songs in the audio launch event.

Several top celebrities from various industries are likely to grace this event. Superstar Rajinikanth and Ram Charan are likely said to be present. The film stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role with Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead. Siddarth also plays a pivotal role in the film while Anirudh has composed the tunes. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Films have jointly produced the film.
